I’ve never received great or even good service at this store. I wasn’t greeted when I walked in, as I shopped, or even as I made my way to their dirty/cluttered/unmanaged fitting rooms. The only reason I even step foot in here is because they have good sales. The sales wrap had clothes slung over all the counters and a sales associate had her cell phone in her hands talking to a worker. It was truly just a mess and a bad look for The Gap. Luckily, the little young guy ringing me up was sweet and personable. I also appreciate that he didn’t push the credit card on me when I politely declined it the first time with a «no and no, thank you».

Gap is the vanilla of the fashion industry, and Gap Kids is more of the same. The Fair Oaks store has both a Gap Kids and Gap Maternity in it, and you will find a sharp, pleasant, and knowledgable staff. The store is clean, well-organized, and under-lit. It is Illysian compared to the Springfield Mall location down the road. Gap Kids has had multiple legal issues involving overseas child sweat shops(as any Google search will find), so keep that in mind when shopping their«conscientious kids clothing». Otherwise I have found their clothes hold up very well, and run slightly smaller than normal. There is a Janie & Jack just down the hall that is well worth looking at as an alternative, and a Gymboree across the hall where great bargains can often be had.
