Tried this for the first time last night — LOVE! First off, complimentary hot tea! Nice! We ordered bread sticks, sambosa, lamb kabab, veggie kebab(both with the spicy beans as sides), a kids pizza, and kids chicken nuggets. They brought the kids meals out early(this alone could give them 5 stars in my book). Fries were hand cut and the nuggets were actual hand breaded chicken — I had to try a bite and they were fantastic. Superior to the pre-frozen, bulk nuggets we often see on a kids meal in restaurants. The sambosas were wonderful and I only regretted not getting two orders. Kebabs were portioned well and flavorful. The owner came out to see how we were enjoying everything and we chatted — so friendly! — she mentioned how everything is made from scratch — she said«my kids eat here so I only serve things I would want them to eat.» Awesome. We WILL be back!

We love Gorgees! The food is freshly made with quality ingredients and special care. The service is amazing and the taste is spectacular. For pizza, kabobs, burgers this is the place to go.

Absolutely the very best Mediterranean/American restaurant in the Fairfax area. Everything is freshly made and I promise no matter what you order, you are going to love it! The prices are exceptionally reasonable especially for the amount of food you receive. Lots of great burger and pizza choices too. Plus, they also offer lots of low fat and heart healthy choices as well. And what’s so awesome about this healthy food is that it tastes great! Healthy food that tastes like comfort food; it just doesn’t get much better than Georgee’s. The owners and all employees are very attentive and welcoming too. It’s just a terrific place to enjoy a lovely and delicious meal in a relaxing atmosphere. Thank you, Georgee, for creating such wonderful food.

The pizza is pretty good. Not my favorite in ffx but it’s up there. This family owned restaurant is a delight though. Beautiful dining room with nice ambience. The staff is friendly and a cute pair. This is only my third time coming and I never thought to order a burger until I saw a sign saying«#1 burger» on Fairfax by Fairfax patch(I believe) so I tried their standard burger with a «small“order of fries. The fries are amazing and the man said they’re handmade. The burger could be bigger but that’s my inner fat self talking. The burger was pretty good. I can see why they got that review. Their personal sauce is great too. What tops it off is the man showed me that they make their own burger buns! That’s amazing and I’ve never heard of that. Great place

Solid 3 stars My friend and I came on a thursday evening to use the specialicious coupon I had purchased a while back. We ordered chicken tikka and alfredo flatbreads. There were 2 parties who came in after us and they were both served well before we were. The flatbreads actually took quite a bit of time tour flatbreads came out around 40 minutes later, it was more like pizza than flatbread and the crust was not crispy like I expected. The portion was huge, it could have made 2 – 3 meals for me. I was satisfied but the flatbread was average. I wouldn’t mind coming back but I also would not be driving out of my way.

Atmosphere: Super casual. Order at the counter. The chili cheese fries were good, but I did add salt. Then I had the chicken kabob and spinach. $ 10.95. Comes with a nice salad(was good), bread(eh), 6 small pieces of chicken, a lump of spinach and RICE, RICE, RICE out the yin-yang. Why do I want that much bland, boring rice? End result for me: too pricey for what you get and for not having any ambiance.

This is probably my favorite place in the area. First of all I’m gonna start off by saying that not only is their meat Halal it is also ORGANIC and you can really taste the difference. One of my favorite things to get here is the burger which is by far the best burger I have ever had. The meet is juicy but not soggy. I recommended this place to many people for just their burgers alone and all of them have said that it was the best burger they had ever had. Aside from that they have many other very delicious items on their menu. I usually tend to stay away from places that don’t focus on just one type of food but this is really the only case that I can think of where they make it work because everything that I’ve had here is really good. They have a delicious Turkish pide(which is like a Turkish version of a calzone or pizza). The sausage is better than the chicken but they are both good. Their pizza is not the greatest but it is very good especially their buffalo chicken pizza. Each day they have a soup of the day that is made fresh and believe me when I say it is some of the best soup you will ever have in your life. Finally, what caps this place off to make it even better is the fact that it is a family run place and they are extremely nice people. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice clean place to have lunch or dinner. I plan to frequent this place often. –Great food –Friendly staff –Nice atmosphere –Clean location

Confused at all the great reviews here. Maybe it’s better a college spot for college kids, but in a work environment this was the worst food we’ve ever had. The food was all delivered cold for one. The pizza was not baked well. The chicken kabobs were super dry, with no sauce? Just pieces of dry chicken over plain white rice. They give you like 6 fries with it. Instead of tatziki sauce, you get some sort of bitter ranch sauce. The wraps were just as bad, with the sides looking like throw up. The flatbreads were not flat, a good amount of dough actually. Stay away from here, most dissatisfying lunch ever.

This place is amazing. You literally can eat anything you want ANDEVERYTHINGWILLTASTEAMAZING I’ve had kabobs from different parts of the world in my life but this one was one of a kind. We started with the chili fries which was delicious, and then, we had the lamb kabob and the kubideh. The meat was surprisingly tender and full of flavors. The spices used in the food is reminiscent of authentic afghan cuisine; subtle use of the spices to accent the taste of the food but not to over power it. The portions were good also more than enough to fill a big appetite. Even the salad was fresh and the dressing was delicious. Please try the yoghurt sauce infused with the dill herbs in it, a delicacy indeed. The owner was very friendly and went out of his way to please us. We will be coming again and again. Please people go there and try it out, your stomach will be thanking me for it Ps: the store is immaculate, very clean and that’s a plus for my OCD

Georgees Pizza & Grill is located in OT Fairfax, just around the corner of Greene Turtle. It’s a family-owned casual restaurant offering appetizers, soups, salads, kabobs, burgers, wraps, pizzas, and beverages. The hubs and I came here for an early dinner, and we tried the following: Chili Cheese Fries(you can opt for their homemade beef or their vegetarian chili(we opted for the beef), and it comes topped with a generous amount of melty cheddar cheese; you can definitely tell that the chili is made on the premise and has a homemade taste to it; I just wished it was seasoned more!); a slice of Pepperoni pizza(it had a thin crust and the pizza itself was okay); a kabob entrée(combo of the chicken and the kubideh kabobs; the chicken was all white breast meat, and the kubideh, while a little firm in texture, was pretty okay as well with the white sauce); and, some of their seasonal drinks(the strawberry ginger and the watermelon mint — while I preferred the latter, both were freshly-made and refreshing!). Service from the husband-and-wife team, Mr. Joe and Ms. Alina, were great — they were welcoming, friendly, and very sweet! This is definitely a great healthy option for families in the area, and definitely a great go-to place for the local GMU students. Plenty of seating and free parking in the deck, just around the back, check this place out: D +healthy options +kabob entrees +pizza by-the-slice +seasonal drinks: D +ask for Mr. Joe and Ms. Alina: D +free parking in the deck

All I have to say is-YUM! I go to Mason & was trying to find a place near school to go grab food real quick and stumbled upon this cute place in old town ffx! It’s located right next to the parking garage near green turtle! Awesome service & food :) I will be back soon to try something else on the menu!

If this place starts to carry alcohol, there would be serious competition with Greene Turtle around the corner. It is still a great family oriented pizza and fast food spot. Where else in the area can you catch euro league futbol on a lazy afternoon while having great lamb wrap and chili cheese fries. The perfect melding of American and Mediterranean. Add a personable service and you have a spot that is worth frequenting on a regular basis.

Found this place while I was studying at the library. I needed some food in my system and figured I’d give this place a try. There’s a reason this place has great ratings. It’s clean, the food is fresh and delicious, and the staff and owner are friendly and personable. I recommend the lamb wrap and the pizza. I would’ve ordered more but being in a food coma at the library would not be the most productive state of mind to be in. Stop by here and check it out. Friendly local business that knows how to make it’s customers happy and craving more!

Ambience: It’s actually nicely decorated and a decent amount of seating for a pizza parlour. I was impressed. Very chill and low key place. Definitely a hole in a wall type spot. Seating is only for about 40 people for the whole restaurant, so it’s smart to make a reservation for a big party. Food: Food is on point. Food is also halal. The pizza is made to perfection. I had pepperoni, mushrooms, and spinach. I’m still thinking about it. I also had the Philly burger which was smaller than I wanted, but still really good. Their flatbreads are huge portion wise. I had their bbq buffalo Flatbread and it went on for days. Their chilli and cheese fries again on point. They also have strawberry mint lemonade which is amazing. Food is 9\10. Can’t go wrong at all here. Parking: They have free ample parking at the deck next door.

I ABSOLUTELYLOVE this place and will definitely be coming back after my experience here! My friends and I decided to eat out for Iftar this Ramadan and wanted to go somewhere with a lot of variety. Not only does this place have a ton of variety, every single thing we ordered was delicious and the service was fabulous! Be aware that everything is cooked fresh to order so there will be a bit of a wait but it’s well worth it! It’s a casual sit-down place where you order up front and they bring the food out to you. We ordered the chili cheese fries, boneless wings(yum!), some burgers, kabob, and pepperoni pizza(HALAL!) I had been looking for somewhere closer to me that has GOOD beef pepperoni pizza because it so often can go wrong and I wasn’t disappointed! One thing that you HAVE to try here, is the *STRAWBERRYMINTLEMONADE!* OMG. SOGOOD! Everything here was good and the service was amazing. They ran out of beef pepperoni and only had one slice left, we ordered 2. They brought us extra slices of pizza because of this, which totally made up for it. The owner I believe brought out free dates and a pitcher of water for us to break our fast with. There is also complimentary hot tea available up front. I think the family here is Afghan, not totally sure, but they have bolanee on the menu and they looked Afghan to me. I love seeing GOOD Afghan family businesses doing well! Way to go Georgee’s! (Big plus: the bathroom and floor were CLEANCLEANCLEAN!)

Chili cheese fries. Real cheese. Massive. Not too greasy. Along with fresh mint lemonade. Pizza was ok. Service is good, seems like a mom and pop place. I would go back for the chili cheese fries.

Tucked on University Dr. is this new spinoff on Afghan meet comfort food. Went here twice and I think I finally found an excuse to stray away from our otherwise usual Fairfax Corner hangout spot. They have quite a nice list of comfort food like pizzas, burgers, sandwiches to your typical Afghan fare such as kabobs and bolanee(bread filled with potatoes and leeks). Both times me and my friend decided to split the ‘Chicken Tikka’ flat bread(FYI: its pizza, they just call it flat bread because its a rectangle shape) and the mint lemonade. They make everything from scratch which is an added bonus. The mint lemonade is like drinking a virgin mojito(perf for those summer days) and that chicken flat bread is not yet on the menu so you can thank me later :) I’ve also tried the chilli cheese fries but was disappointed. The good thing is that because of their extensive menu, you can always try a different item next time(I’m talking about you bolanee and chapli kabob sandwich!) Definitely check this Afghan ‘fast-food’ eatery!
