I had the buffet today. It was very tasty. It came with fresh naan, rice, veggies, chicken kabob and other options as well. The best white sauce and a great price. I will 100% return.

I ordered a beef kabob. The meat was soft, juicy, and tender. The staff is very nice, a family run business when I went. Got some kind of mango drink, which I enjoyed as well. The area is located in a friendly, nice looking shopping center.

I’ve been eating here since 2013, and never got disappointed with the staff or the food. Amazing quality! Good customer service. Their Afghan fries is amazing! Their lamb kabob was delicious! Their naan is delightful. Hopefully they’ll stay open 4ever. P.S. I noticed that those who rated this 1 star, either racists who hate Muslims or middle easterners or plain frauddies… like seriously! This place is amazing! Dont believe or trust the 1 star reviews

My family and I came here for lunch after my brother recommended it, having ate here before. I ordered the King Gyro. Nothing amazing nothing too terrible. Tastes like any ordinary gyro but pretty oily– I felt a little disgusting after I ate it. My only issue is customer service. As soon as we walked in the only sort of interaction we received were stares. I walked up to place my order and purposely kept my mouth shut until this cashier would say hello or ANYTHING. But he said nothing. That alone really irritated me, because I myself have worked in the restaurant/food industry for several years and know the most absolute MINIMAL you can do is greet the customer when they come in. I’m not expecting a red carpet and enthusiastic hellos from every person in there– but like I said, absolute minimal.

So not sure what others are experiencing but I ordered online for delivery and was pleased with it. So ordered the meat lovers combo with Chicken, lamb, and beef… lets jut say everything was tasty and the meat was very tender… the lamb was very tender and wasn’t gamy at all. Also ordered the samosa wasnt bad but it was different. We also ordered the falafel whic was ok… the falafel was on the dry side. order to delivery took 40 mins total which isnt bad… but could be a little bit faster. I still think my kabab spot in crystal city is still the best so far I mean its after all a Palace :-) would I order from here again??? sure

Unfortunately this was hands down one of the worst kabob places I’ve been to in quite a while. The food honestly tasted like it was heated in the microwave and then served on flimsy disposables. The napkins had oil stains on them(ew!) and the ambience overall is very dated.

I had very upsetting experience I ordered the delivery and when it arrived there made a mistake in the order, and when I called the store they said we are sorry and they will give me a discount next time. They weren’t welling to resolved the issue of the same day they said they are sorry but we cant do a thing for it, if you want to the same order we have to charge you again, this so stupid. I want the owner to know that people want the same ordered the same day not a discount next time!!! It’s not my mistake it yours !!!

Let me start out by saying if I could give no stars I would, they don’t even deserve 1. I placed an order this afternoon through GrubHub and about 45minutes later received 2⁄3 of my order — the driver had forgotten a smoothie(which really wasn’t a big deal at all but it adds to the overall frustration that followed during this entire ordeal) and said he would be back in 15minutes. Now, this being my first time ordering from this place after my bf vouched for their food I was really excited but that soon changed when I opened up their«chicken platter» to find cold rice and a few pieces of chicken thrown on top and my «side of green beans» looked like it was from an elementary cafeteria. My boyfriends«gyro platter» had browning lettuce and the meat was cold as well. So — that being said we didn’t touch a single thing and repackaged it within 30secs of opening it. When the driver finally arrived 15minutes later with my smoothie we let him know what happened and asked for a refund while handing him the repackaged food that was exactly how it was given to us. He literally shook his head and said, «you need to call the store I cannot take this what am I going to do with it? I have other orders to deliver,» and I, being that I have and still work in customer service & my boyfriend works within the food service I thought that USUALLY when customers are dissatisfied with a product they are fully entitled to a refund unless they are made aware of otherwise. I called the manager right infront of him and after having to explain 10 times to her that I didn’t like what was given to me she instructed me to call GrubHub — and as I got off the phone with her I was insisting the driver take the food back in which he responded, «I can’t take that what am I supposed to do with it? Don’t you have friends you can give it to?» Literally done. So done at this point, I tell him alright then and we take it and throw it away down the chute since we didnt like it, he wouldn’t take it, and we would rather that than leave it in the lobby. After calling GrubHub right when I got upstairs a very nice lady helped me through this and even after the restaurant claimed that NOW they needed the food back to give a refund after I explained explicitly clear to her that the driver WOULDNOTTAKEIT she granted my return and told me that if the restaurant wants to come and dig through the chute to get the food that the driver demanded we keep, so be it, and tipped me to never order from them again, which, did not even have to be said. SO, this place f**king sucks and customer service & food quality is some sh*t.

Everything here is fresh and very good. I like because it is Halal and home cooked. It is real afghan food like you would eat in some ones home. Will definitely be back.

I called and placed my order. The guy was initally very friendly and said it would be 10 minutes then when I told him it was for delivery he caught a nasty attitude and said«then it will be an hour! Come pick up» To which I said«I’m at work on main street and I don’t have a car» Luckily I got my food closer to 45 min. later as opposed to the whole hour. Which was the best part of the experience. The food was literally 6 pieces chicken and dry with no sauce sitting on a mountain of cooked rice accompanied by two table spoons of white sauce. The bread was good. I will likely order again because no one else delivers kabobs, but the best kabobs are at Kabob Corner.

I ordered delivery through grubhub because I was stuck at home without a car and the negative reviews seemed to be solely service based. I got an email from grubhub telling me that my order would take about an hour to reach my house, i thought it was ridiculous but it was saturday and they could have been busy. I paid 24 dollars in the end for a gyro combo, order of fries and extra sauce(including tip and delivery charge). I can’t really say anything about the service but the food was awful. The gyro meat was rubbery and there was barely any of it inside the bread. Lettuce was soggy and slimy. There were a lot of fries but they were not«spicy» as advertised. You could barely taste any seasoning and they were really dry. The«white sauce» that I paid an extra 1.50 for a small cup barely had any flavor to it as well. Don’t waste your money here.

My review has more to do with the customer service(or lack of), than the food. Ive eaten here before, mind you, its nothing amazing, your typical, rice + meat + side + bread. Nothing amazing. If anything its below average as the food lacks zest, flavor and texture. Very rubbery meat. In any case, I placed a phone order for kabob platters, two of them. I was using a gift card which I had purchased as it was advertised by them. The person on the phone at first was very polite, but after completing my order, I mentioned that I have a offer which I will be using. This guy completely went 180 on me, with a negative tone«NOWEDONTACCEPTTHATANYMORE». Right so why are you having your restaurant advertised on there as its been on there for a very long time? I asked how come? His answer«I dont know, but we dont accept». Its almost as if he simply didnt want to give into the offer. He was very rude and said«I can give discount, 10%». No thank you, keep that and in fact keep working on the attitude, and own up to your actions because the excuse I was given was, we called many times but they dont answer(LOL). In any case, go at your own risk, dont expect much in the form of customer service, let alone lip service? Save your money, its Northern Virginia, lots of other kabob options, atleast this place owns up to you truthfully that their food is only as good as their customer service.

I placed an order for delivery over the phone. I gave them my address, order and everything. They even gave me a price total. I waited over an hour and still no show. I called them up to check on the status and they told me that they didn’t deliver that far out. I didn’t get a call or nothing. Total BS!

If you like chicken then the lunch buffet is the way to go! They only serve chicken meat but for the price and all the sides, salad and rice you can eat it’s worth it! Family run, so everything is homemade and the bread is amazing, I love watching them make it!

they dont even deserve 1 star. If you are trying to order it from mason delivery, do not order. order placed at 1:20PM and after 1 and half hours later food still havn’t show up. when we tried to call and cancelled order, they said they cannot do refund due to online order. few minutes later driver called and start yelling at me. I am going to call credit card company and dispute the charge. I do not understand it is so hard to get a refund. just do not order food from here until u pick up or eat there.

I come here often to eat the lunch buffet because it is the best. Everything is seasoned to perfection and sometimes it seems like they experiment with the rice and serve it for lunch. This time, we ordered carryout and the food was the worst I have ever tasted from them. +The chick peas are usually super yummy but this time around had no taste, actually, I lied. it did taste like something. it tasted like I was eating a pile of raw garlic. So much garlic powder or something. my god!!! Oh, and I got maybe half a scoop. +The«salad» was a few pieces of shredded lettuce which were withered and seemed maybe a day old. +Rice was good, I sure hope they dont mess up the rice. +The chicken was wayy over cooked and super dried. I had to smoother the chicken in sauce in order to not choke myself. +My most disappointed part was my naan. Super hard and crunchy. Tried getting a piece and it just all broke into the brown bag it came in. Maybe they have a new cook or maybe today was one of their off days but I think I’ll stick to going in for lunch buffets. I gave them a 4 star rating because 95% of the time, their food is awesome! I just got bad luck this time.

Complete garbage, ordered their Lamb Kabob through GrubHub and was promised a delivery time of 2:10 — 2:20. No call, no attempt to even contact me until I called at 2:40 and then the guy on the phone hastily said the driver was«right outside my house and parking» and rushed to hang up with me, I step outside and there’s no one there, I call them back and say the driver has 5 minutes otherwise I’m calling the credit card company, same guy says something rushed to me and hangs up. The delivery guy finally arrives a couple minutes later and pulls out my order from the TRUNK of his car(already a bad sign) and then he has the nerve to ask me why I’m not leaving him any tip and even tries to argue with me about it. After going inside I open my order and it looks like the guy went offroading for 30 minutes before he got to my house(which according to Google Maps is literally a mile down the street), the container was leaking out into the bag he gave me(which didn’t include any napkins or utensils) and to top it all off my order was practically room temperature by the time it got to me. STAYAWAY! Oh, and the lettuce was slimy. I would have just thrown the crap the delivery guy gave me back at his face but me and my roommate were too hungry to fool around with any other place. Stay away at all costs, I should have checked Unilocal before placing my order with them. Don’t just take my word for it tho, take a look at these pictures and decide for yourself. That is the Lamb kebab + «veggie»(soggy, brown lettuce and unchopped onion) platter, I chose the side of chick peas. it came with maybe 4 peas altogether. The meat was tougher than a boiled boot and practically room temperature by the time it got to me.

My boyfriend decided to take me here for our«post workout» meal… and by workout we meant Bikram Yoga(across the street). Boy did we sweat out a cow! We walked in about noon on a Saturday, no customers in site, ok, so we proceed to order. I ordered the King Falafel and he ordered the King Gyro. Not sure why it was called King, it definitely would only feed half a peasant(sorry). In my honest and straight opinion, I’ve had Falafels from all around the United States and some home made ones too. This was by far the most stale and hardest falafel to bite into :(My boyfriend swore up and down about this place, raving it as the best Kabob place in Fairfax or even possibly NoVa! He would explain to me how this would be his go-to place when he was at GMU. OK. I suppose he was a starving student who could go for anything cheap and convenient. His gyro was a tad bit better. I would try this place one more time, but not get the falafel ever again!
