We’ve used them many times and have no complaints. They’re pretty helpful and do a nice job.

I really love this place. The staff is always so nice and friendly. I’ve recently had several pieces framed there and just picked up a painting I purchased there and had framed. I’m am so happy I choose the frame the sales person suggested because I am super happy with it. They are always willing to keep trying different frames to make sure it is the perfect fit for you and the piece your framing. Unlike another framing store where I felt like I was bothering them(I won’t mention). As far as pricing, I would say watch for their sales. If you go when a certain frame style is on sale they could be less expensive than Michael’s. Not to throw Michael’s under the bus but just to use as a comparison.

I agree with Kathy D.- this framing shop is too expensive with not enough selection and terrible customer service. I brought two fine art photographs to be custom framed, both for one of my best friends as a wedding gift. When I walked into the shop, there were a bunch of people at the counter but it wasn’t clear who worked there and who was a customer. I walked up to stand near the counter so that it would be clear that I was waiting. I stood there for about two second when another customer barked at me that she was next in line and that I should wait behind her. I apologized for any offense(?!) I caused and took a few steps back while also telling her that there was no clear line and she looked like she was being helped because she was talking to someone who was being helped. At no point during any of this did anyone who actually works there greet me, intervene, or tell either one of us that they were going to be with us in just a few minutes(or whatever). Horrible service! I stood there for almost thirty minutes(!!!) before being helped. I was not impressed with the staff. None of them seem to be artists, designers or anything else that would help customers select custom frames/mattes. At other framing places that I have used in other cities that I have lived in, the staff always seem to be artists themselves, which is really helpful when selecting custom frames for art. I did not appreciate the input of the person who was helping me, she did not seem to understand what was needed and was not very helpful. When I finally completed the transaction, I had to wait again for her to ring me up and pay because they have only two people working there and only one register and they seemed inordinately busy despite their terrible service. At the same time as I was being helped, I noticed several other customers had arrived to pick up their items. Rather than waiting for the person helping me to notice their plight, I told the staff person to go help them because I could take a moment to look at frame and matting choices. Since when is customer service up to a customer?! Six weeks later, they called me to tell me that my items were ready. I have never received a more perfunctory unpleasant notification call in my life. When I arrived to pick up my items, I was in the same position as before– unpleasant customers and the staff did not greet me or even look up from their work to acknowledge my existence. After witnessing this on the previous visit, I waited for five minutes and then spoke up and said, «I am here for pick up only.» Finally, one of the staffers said, «I’ll be with you in a few minutes.»(I want to point out at this point that I have no problem waiting, but I do have a problem waiting when it seems like the staff have no idea when you are there and show no motivation to help you!) Anyway, after a few minutes, I was helped, paid and left. The framing job was adequate, but the customer service and the transaction process were so arduous and unpleasant that I will never go there again, nor would I recommend this place to a friend!

I am always looking for local businesses that provide great value and personalized service. My take on Total Framing is: Look further. Expect to pay more for less selection and prepare yourself for an unpleasant experience because of the store’s mixed, bordering on rude, customer service. This review is based on two visits, during which I purchased three custom frames.

After a over price quote at Michael’s, I decided to find another framing store. I took a embroidered picture and a Norman Rockwell print into be framed. The staff was awesome and very helpful in picking out frames and matts. They listened to my price range and stayed within my budget. When I picked up my pictures if was blown away on what a amazing job they did. I will definitely will be a returning customer.

After having a TERRIBLE experience with Michael’s framing department, I forgot about my trusty local framing store. I had a cross-stitch piece that needed to be redone since it looked unacceptable after picking it up from Michael’s. I was not going to go back to them, considering their customer service in addition to their craftsmanship is unacceptable. Please do not be misguided: Total Framing’s prices are COMPETITIVE! They are almost always having a 50% of custom frame sale, and their service is unbeatable. They specialize in embroidery pieces in addition to their regular framing services. They took the time to explain what they were going to do with my piece and and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Never go to a big box framing store where they contract out all of their framing. All of the work at Total Framing is done INSTORE. I can’t recommend this place enough!

In January I went back to Total Framing to get some artwork my brother gifted me framed. I didn’t know what I wanted and the muted colors were very difficult to match. After an hour or so we still couldn’t find a combination of matting and framing I really loved, but the staff haved earned so much of my trust that I said«Carolyn, if you think this will work, let’s do it!» For the first time ever I left completely nervous, convinced I wouldn’t like the results(wasn’t sold on the matting, the frame, or the width of the matting). Even when I arrived to pick up the finished product I was joking that I would be diappointed. NOPE. ITWASAWESOME. SOAWESOME. Truly: I couldn’t believe it. The art looked like it BELONGED in that frame. Everyone who has seen it raves about it, and my brother was really excited to see it looking so sophisticated. Furthermore, on the same framing trip we framed an over-the-top neon Flashbacca comic print(Chewbacca as The Flash, anyone?) and it was so stellar in its neon framing glory that I tracked down the email address of the artist and sent her a photo. Her response? «I’ve never seen Flashbacca look more handsome.» Best. Frame. Store. Ever. They even refused to give me Flashbacc because there was dust on the matting and fixed it pronto for me. Details, details. I’ll need to post more pictures.
