Gossip, gossip, who’s got the gossip? Funny, I’d eaten Mexican food down the road earlier, went to Tri-County Mall, and on the way back, I stopped here for the first time. I swore I’d never stop in another Dunkin Donuts/Baskin-Robbins again after being ignored at the last one. However, I hadn’t had Pralines and Cream ice cream in five years and I wanted some. As I entered, I could hear people talking, gossiping, near the drive-thru. I heard a couple of friendly voices greet me, and as they moved closer, they looked a bit shocked and smirked at me.(It was probably my hoodie and jacket. 60 degrees F is cold for me. I lived in Florida for 11 years, okay?) Five seconds later, they were back to being friendly. As I asked for one scoop, they asked«Cone or Cup?» and I wasn’t sure. It wasn’t exactly warm out. When I hesitated, they said that the cones were fresh. «Ummm, okay, aren’t they always supposed to be fresh?» I thought to myself. So, I asked for a cone. I have never had a waffle cone. They were still selling sugar cones when I last had one. I’m not sure what they had when I was at the Oviedo, FL store – I never was able to order. One of the ladies mentioned a deal when ordering two scoops, but that’s way too much sugar, so I didn’t pay attention to it. Looking at the receipt I kept, the scoop of ice cream was $ 2.29 and the waffle cone was $ 0.89 – so $ 3.18 for an ice cream cone. I guess next time, I’ll ask for the cup, if I’m being cheap. The ice cream was good, and didn’t show any signs of thawing and re-freezing, which can be far too common. They were even pleasant to me when I was on my way out.
