I would give six stars if I could. The complimentary bread was soft and fresh, and butter served with it was extremely creamy and paired well. I got the seafood linguini with shrimp and muscles in a mild marinara sauce, which had a variety of spices to give it a kick that was not overbearing but just the right amount of heat. It was absolutely delicious. The marinara was unlike any I have tried thus far. The portion size was not overbearing or scarce, just the right amount of pasta so I walk out feeling full and not bloated. Mine also came with a side salad! To top it off the staff was nice and helpful, and the chef/owner came out to say hello and make sure everything was good. Finally, I had their peach cobbler. Moist, mildly sweet with a hint of cinnamon, and of course yummy peaches. Fair prices and worth every penny none the less. I will be coming back with company. New favorite restaurant in the NorCal area. If you’re thinking about going, go.

This is definitely a Fairfield treasure. Located next to Smoke Paradise on North Texas Street, this is a real«foodie paradise.» I had the lasagna, my wife the chicken Parmesan and our friend had the penne pasta and meatballs. ALL were superb. Roberta the chef/owner came out and helped us make our selections. She is so sweet. Made us feel like family. Laura our server got every order right, was on top of all our drinks and food needs. We will definitely be back. The prices are excellent especially for the quality of the food. Do yourself a favor, visit this place next time you have a craving for good Italian.

We stopped her only because we were looking to get some food before checking out a Brewery nearby that didn’t serve food. We had been hiking and knew we needed some food first. Unilocal rating was 4 stars and it was close so we came. We passed it by the first time, only a small sign on the door. Oh my gosh, the food was amazing! Started with delicious warm french bread served immediately, as we perused the menu. There were so many fantastic sounding items on the menu board of specials and on the regular menu. Finally we decided on the gnocchi with salmon in a creamy pesto sauce which came with a delicious house salad so fresh and crisp. We also ordered their Caprese Salad entrée size. Oh so wonderful! Definitely go here for a wonderful meal.

Oh my! Where do I begin. Well first my husband and I was in the mood for Italian so being new to the area of course we Unilocaled Italian restaurants and this one came up. It had great reviews so we decided to give it a chance. BADDECISION! The location is HORRIBLE! We drive around for awhile and when we called them for directions they gave attitude! We finally found the location(small sign on the front of the video). When I came in she showed me my angel hair pasta with meatballs dish and there was only small meatballs for a bunch of pasta and the sauce was non existent. So basically dry noodles with dry meatballs. My husband ordered the lasagne. He stated it was not good at all! We also ordered the tiramisu sand we have had better. We basically lost out on 30 bucks. Oh well! I would advise anyone who wants real Italian to stay away from this place.

I ordered the angel hair pasta with creamy pesto sauce, and the flavor was out of this world. The pasta alone was more than worth it for the price, but it also comes with a salad and warm sliced bread pieces. The portions size was big, so you won’t worry about leaving hungry. I’ll definitely come back to this restaurant and recommend it to my friends and family!

Delicious food and a beautiful & sweet family. I felt right at home almost like I went to a family’s house to eat. That’s how warm and welcoming they are. And like I said the food is amazing and the prices are great. I think it’s safe to say this will be my new favorite place to eat in Fairfield. I’m hooked

Oh Roberta where do I begin? Thanks again for sharing your story of how you were born/raised in Michigan and headed out to the West Coast. Well you begin is where any young Italian begins and that’s with the lasagna! So, I ordered up the lasagna and it came out in a bubbling mass! Accompanied by a side salad and an order of garlic bread(thus the show Steeler!) I got the order to go, so I hurried back to the hotel as the smell waifed through the rental car. I finally made it back to my hotel room and dug in. The lasagna was made with fresh pasta that day(according to Roberta), and the salad had a wonderful homemade Italian dressing. But as I previously mentioned, the show Steeler was that of the garlic bread! The garlic bread had clarified butter, fresh garlic, and Italian parsley thrown on it. In a word, fantastic! So here’s the breakdown: Satisfied? Yes Return? Yes Advocate? Yes!

I stopped for lunch on my drive up to Sacramento from the bay area. Bella Vista was tucked away in a strip mall and was not the easiest place to find. However, I was warmly greeted as soon as I walked in. The décor was pretty bare, but I go to a restaurant to eat, not look at the walls. First food to my table was italian bread. Warm, and served with soft butter. It’s not a hard thing to do, but soft butter with warm crusty bread always a treat for my normally low-carb life. Next was green salad. Pretty basic salad with a drizzle of bottled Italian dressing. The dressing was very acidic and I think Bella Vita would be much better off whipping up a quick simple vinaigrette. Then the entrees came, first was a pasta with pesto cream sauce. The pasta was cooked properly, the sauce had good flavor, it was just very thin. I wish the sauce was cooked down a little more and adhered to the pasta better. The Lasagna though, was amazing. Being from the bay area, I was shocked at the prices of the dishes, I got the Lasagna and pesto cream pasta for only $ 20! TL:DR– Server 5+ Stars, Food 3.5 Stars. Get the Lasagna

Bella Vita Family Bistro is superb. This little Italian gem located in Fairfield, CA is difficult to find. You may pass by it several times before finding it located near a smoke shop on North Texas. Your perseverance will be rewarded. I highly recommend reservations if you come on the weekends during peak periods. The owner, Roberta, is a Le Cordon Blue trained chef. She makes everything fresh everyday from the fresh bread to homemade pasta, sauces and desserts. I ordered the tortellini carbonara. It was fantastic. It needed no further enhancements, i.e. salt or pepper. My only regret is that I was too full to try the homemade peach cobbler for dessert. Give this place a try. You will not regret it.

I just stopped in this tasty place… wow…the cook has a passion for her food.!! I ordered the Chicken Piccata, Fettuccine With White Cream Sauce, and the Pear and Cheese Fiocchi was delicious! The food has a personal touch of care when cooking and serving. It may be small inside, but the food speaks for itself! The staff is kind and friendly. I recommend this business for any occasion.

We tried Bella Vita tonight for dinner and I have a feeling we’ll be regulars. It’s not the easiest place to find, but it’s definitely a hidden gem. It’s very comfortable and cute on the inside and there are so many amazing choices on the menu, it was difficult to decide what to try first.(I have a list of things I’ll be trying on subsequent visits.) We started with the bruschetta – which was so full of fresh flavor I could have happily eaten that for dinner. My husband had the lasagna(amazing!) and I had the gnocchi with chicken and alfredo sauce(so, so good). We finished off the meal with some wonderful peach cobbler. There’s only about 7 tables inside, so reservations are really a must, unless you’re doing take out. We met the owner and chef tonight, and Roberta is a very cool, very welcoming person. Looking forward to the next visit.

It was our first time coming to this family style Italian bistro. It is a definite hidden gem. Finding it can be difficult since there isn’t a storefront sign on the top of the building. However, they are located to the left of Smoke Paradise and Ms Joy’s African Market and across from FoodMax. This place isn’t very large, but it is very cosy. The food is really good. My husband had veal scallopini and my daughter had gorgonzola fiocchi(little pasta filled with meat) with seafood. Both were totally«yummy.» However, my lasagna was out of this world!!! I would suggest future customers try it. This place is definitely bang for the buck. Our meals included soft bread and a refreshing salad. Roberta, the owner/chef is very personable and is an expert in her craft. She is classically trained from Cordon Bleu and learned from 2 Italian chefs in Italy. Next time, you are in Fairfield, this is definitely a place to try!!! But a reservation is a must since it is small family business.

Absolutely delicious! The food is rich with authentic flavor. Generous portion sizes too. Ordered the pear cheese fiocchi and it was great. All the meals are cooked to order and there is one main chef so there is some wait time, but totally worth it. The chef came to check in on us and she is incredibly friendly and really contributed to a lovely dining experience.

This place is very hard to find unless you already know it is there. I have known about this place for awhile now and just have not had to time to stop by and try it. I finally did for an early dinner and boy my fiancé and I were not disappointed. This place is a hole in the wall. The inside is small but clean and simple. They have an open kitchen concept which we really appreciate because you can see how clean it is. So we each had an entrée, salad, and some bread. The bread was good, salad was good as well, it was a light Italian dressing with a spring mixed greens that were not old which I appreciated. The entrees were also really good, so good that after my fiancé finished his, he ended going after mine too haha. Then we had three desserts, all homemade desserts. We had tiramisu, peach cobbler, and a duet cheesecake, all of them were so good. All of the food was so good we couldn’t believe we finished everything because we normally do not eat that much anywhere. But we were pleasantly surprised at how good this place is and prices were not bad at all. So now we found ourselves a new Italian place in town so we are happy about that. The service was very good, everyone was very nice and polite so I really liked that. Needless to say we will be going back here. I would definitely recommend trying this place.

I’m in Fairfield on business from Southern California. Not being familiar with the area, I checked Unilocal for places to eat. This place had lots of 5 star reviews so I figured I would give it a try. Definitely hard to find as there is no exterior signage. It is small and unassuming but the food was outstanding. The salad was delicious as was the seemingly homemade bread. I ordered the fettuccine with pesto crème sauce and salmon. It was to die for. I ordered the peach cobbler to go because I was so full and it was amazing! The service was excellent and the chef herself came out, introduced herself and checked to see if I liked the food. The waitress was sweet, helpful and prompt. If I lived in the area, I would definitely come back here!

When I saw a groupon and read the reviews I just had to try this restaurant. We tried the pear and cheese fiocchi with goat cheese sauce and the chicken piccata. The flavor of each dish was so amazing I can’t even begin to describe it. The food was fresh and flavorful. This was definitely the best meal I’ve had in a long time. We had our order to go. It came with bread and salad which were delicious and generously portioned. I read some previous reviews indicating a long wait for dine in. Let me just say it is worth the wait!

Amazing made-to-order Italian Cuisine! Reservations are strongly advised on the weekends! Don’t let the location fool you. This restaurant is easy to miss but you will be passing up one of the best restaurants in Fairfield! Forget the large chain eateries so common in Fairfield and opt for this intimate spot with its family-owned charm. The staff treats you like they are welcoming you into their kitchen at home. They carefully explain how each dish is prepared, give you time to decide and only then does the solo chef put her culinary artistry to work. So be patient as she prepares your individual meals. Your mouth will be so happy you did! Don’t have time to wait? Call in your order so it will be ready when you arrive to eat in or take out. We saw a team of firefighters come in and pick up their meals. Important Tip: Make sure at least one person in your party orders the lasagne, or better yet, order one for the table so you can all taste it. It is fabulous! We will be back soon!

I found this place on Groupon and decided to check it out since I’m a huge supporter of local businesses. I found their website, figured out what we wanted, and called in our order to go. The woman on the phone(the owner?) was very sweet and told us it would be about 30 minutes. Thirty minutes later, we headed over. It was definitely hard to find and tucked away in a small strip mall next to a liquor/smoke shop of some kind. We parked and I went in. The décor was simplistic yet charming and the music was a nice touch. The woman/owner greeted me from the kitchen and said she was just finishing our order. She brought out the piping hot items in their styrofoam boxes and packaged them up. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes. We got home, opened the boxes(and some wine), and started eating. We both are in LOVE with the salad dressing. It was a really amazing balsamic type of dressing. The bread was fresh and smelled great. Both pasta dishes were fresh and very delicious! The only complaint I have is that I could taste some of the styrofoam«flavor» due to the piping hot pasta sauce that was placed inside the box. I would recommend putting down tin foil in the future to prevent it from happening again. We both agreed we will definitely patronize this place again!
