Two things I loved about this place. The cheesesteak and the décor. Everything else seemed to be lacking quite a bit. We walked in about ten minutes after they opened their doors. The girl at the front counter was friendly and asked if we have ever dined there before. When we informed her that we have not she quickly went over the highlights of the menu. I loved all the variations on cheesesteak, but Paradise Valley is the one that really stuck out to me. I think it’s the bacon. We ordered a soda and the garlic fries as well. Very first thing I did after paying was walk over to the soda machine, only to find out that only the ice machine worked. I pressed on every single nozzle, for every single soda, and not a single drop. On the side of the machine was a key, and with both curiosity and a little frustration, I turned it. Voila, the machine comes to life. They just forgot to turn it on. On the first go around I filled up with Diet Dr. pepper, which was extremely flat, so it was immediately dumped out and refilled with a concoction only my GF knows. All I can say is whatever it was, it was much better. Our sandwiches came out accompanied by the garlic fries. The sandwiches looked amazing, smelled amazing and tasted just as amazing. Served hot off the grill, I dove into my gooey, cheesy, tasty, mess of a cheesesteak. I had to cut it in half, because the large rolls, really are large. The thin slices of beef were swimming in a pool of American cheese, and was accompanied by his friends: mushrooms, peppers, onions, and new to the party, savory bacon. The bacon is subtle, like the sprinkling of salt over a dish to elevate the flavor. It was just what the sandwich needed. The garlic fries have quite a reputation for itself. BESTEVER!!! the menu exclaims, and while they were definitely good, I have had better. The fries were hot and crispy and I love the chunks of fresh garlic and Parmesan, but mix it up man! The cheese and garlic were all on top, and in such a small ball, it was very hard to mix it up. It is served with a small side of Siracha ketchup, which was quite tasty. I thought the inside was very cute, with street signs plastered over all the walls. Very clean and well maintained except for one Tabasco bottle I noticed on the way out, that showed the separation of hot sauce and oil. Very interesting indeed. The place was pretty dead and we were the only ones dining in so naturally the staff was bored. However, I do not want to see you texting on your phone while watching the t.v. in the dining room. The cheesesteak was very good, but I still wouldn’t recommend this place.

The verdict: 4.5 out of 5 overall. Friendly staff, prompt service, and most of all, delicious rib eye steak and hoagie rolls to cradle all the deliciousness within. Oh and they have cheese-whiz! Nice variety on their menu as well. I miss Little Philly by the base, but this one will suit me well in the cheesesteak department.

I tried the American Canyon and curly fries. I thought it was very tasty. The meat was tender and flavorful, but not too cheesy. I think it would have been better if it was cheesier. Fries were crispy and not oily. Service was speedy and courteous. I’ll be coming back here regularly. I’d look forward to trying the burgers.

I’ve only been here a couple times but so far everything I have had has been amazing. They are a little pricy but the quality and tastes are so good it is worth it. This is one of those places that you want to try everything on the menu!

I tried this place for the first time yesterday for lunch. I must say I was very impressed! I was talking to one of the head guys their. I think it was the owner about how I use to go to Little Philly before it closed sadly and I needed to find a new Philly Cheese steak place to eat at. If you were a fan of Little Phlly I must say you have to try this place out! I’m not sure what they do with their meat but it tastes amazing! Very friendly staff as well and they even make it somewhat fancy with metal utensils and they put their curly fries in a nice side dish. If you love Cheese steaks trust me. Eat Here!

Not bad at all. Came in and ordered the I-80 cheese steak. Cashier was very friendly. Sandwich had a great taste. Ordered curly fries, they where also great. Was kind of pricey, but cheese steak places usually are. Plus sandwiches are huge! Will definitely come back soon.

I’m sorry to give you a bad rating. I really wanted to like this place, the staff was friendly and I love cheesesteaks. I drive by their at least once a month and I finally got a chance to try it. I ordered the original cheesesteak, the one with the egg sounded nice, other fun variations but I thought straight traditional was the way to go. Nice ambrosia roll but the compliments stop there. The menu said American cheese but that’s not what I got. I got mozzarella or a young provolone. When American cheese melts it’s not stringy, trust me, I know a lot about cheese. If that is American then you’re buying a really bad American cheese or getting duked by your distributer. Possibly a mistake by the cook. Then there was the no sweet and hot peppers option. A big plus that you are missing out on. Then there was no flavor, salt, pepper, something please. It was bland and lacked any true representation of a real Philly Cheesesteak. Last the peppers weren’t cooked enough. Onions too. Big chunks, sloppy cutting. Again, I’m sorry to write a bad review but this is how I feel, unfortunately social media allows us to do things like this, and I spoke my voice. I would not return. Good luck with your sandwiches. The 2 stars are for the service and the roll.

After working in Fairfield and driving past this place hundreds of times, I decided to give a try. Cheese steaks are not something I crave very often, and I have never had one up to par to McMaster’s in Santa Barbara, but nonetheless gave it a try. Got there right around 11:30 and was happily ushered in by the owner, who recommended trying the i-80 West cheese steak meal. I went with the 6 inch sandwich, which was more than large enough. The food came out promptly and the sandwich was quite good. The fries were the only thing I felt were lacking a little bit, but still acceptable. Definitely worth another try, the menu is gigantic.

The absolute worst cheese steak place ever. The meat was so gross that I couldn’t even finosh it. And it took 20 minutes to get our food. I have no ideahow they are still in business!

Have eaten here twice now. Husband had the I-80 West both times and I had a Build-Your-Own Cheesesteak and a burger. Everything so far has been delicious! And they add a lot more meat than The Cheesesteak Shop here in Suisun. It’s a lot pricier, but you get what you pay for. Definitely a go-to place for us :)

Not too bad. 40 $ for 2 cheese steaks(made with real steak), reg order of fries and 2 fancy shakes. We stopped here on the way home from Tahoe and although we were a bit weary to come in because there were no customers we pushed on. Glad we did! I had the Suisun Valley steak and my husband made his own. Some pretty tasty stuff! The meat on it own was really good(not the usual steak’em), bread was toasty and it wasn’t greasy at all which we were very pleasantly surprised by. The fries were your typical crispy fries and I’m happy to say they were seasoned well. The staff was very nice and friendly :). Good service! Our only negative points were that my husband felt the water tasted funny and the strawberry banana shake doesn’t use real banana.

I grew up in the Philadelphia area and one of my first jobs was making cheese steaks at a local Geno’s. Later, when I went to college in Philadelphia I ate cheese steaks all the time so I consider myself something of an expert on them. In my «expert opinion» I-80’s basic cheese steak is pretty darn close to a Philly original and fulfills all the basic requirements namely: 1) They use Amoroso brand bread rolls flown in from Philly 2) The steak is sliced thin 3) The cheese is blended together thoroughly with the meat so that you get a consistent cheesy-meat taste with every bite. But I-80 goes way beyond the basic meat/cheese/peppers/onions cheese steak. Their menu includes steaks with such non-traditional ingredients as portabella mushrooms, blue cheese and lettuce(!!!). I tried a couple of these more eclectic steaks including the«I-80 East» with peppers, lettuce and tomatoes, and the«Suisun Valley Road» with mushrooms, pepper and roasted garlic. My opinion? They have gone too far! All the extra ingredients overpower and interfere with the basic cheese steak flavor. So while I would definitely recommend their basic cheese steak I’d avoid the more extended menu. How does I-80 stack up against the competition? Frankly, I prefer the cheese steaks at The Cheese Steak Shop. The meat flavor of the Cheese Steak Shop steaks just seems more pronounced even though I-80 claims to use premium cuts of beef. And since there are Cheese Steak Shops in both Suisun and Vacaville I might just keep on heading east or west on the highway to one of these locations instead of stopping at I-80 for my cheese steak fix!

Save your money because I-80 cheesesteaks is highway robbery. I was thinking I was going to get some diamond crusted bread or something. Instead, you get a super tiny, flavorless lump of garbage that’s maybe like, 5 inches long. Fries are an extra zillion dollars and didn’t do the place any favors either. It’s gonna go out of business soon because I was the only unfortunate soul in the place besides the ten employees sitting around doing nothing. Also there’s a counter with a menu but they want you to have full service which kind of makes no sense with how it’s set up… so be ready to make the most unnecessary tip of your life on top of a bill higher than Everest. I guess I could have just written«expensive bland crap» and called it good. But no, now I’ve given this place wayyy more time and words than it deserves. Hate it!

Ever since my brother introduced me to my first cheesesteak waaaaayyyyy back when, I’ve been a fan of them ever since. Although I’ve never had the privilege to taste a Geno’s or Pat’s cheesesteak, I’ve had my fair share of cheesesteak goodness and I think I can tell a good cheesesteak when I bite into one… and I-80 Cheesesteaks are some good cheesesteaks indeed! The Place — I-80 Cheesesteaks is located on the far end of North Texas(The Raley’s end, NOT the Armijo High School end). It’s located in the same shopping area as CVS Pharmacy and El Pollo Loco as well. I-80 Cheesesteaks, whose name obviously comes from the close proximity to Interstate 80, is a very spacious and clean place. I believe the place itself is fairly new, but regardless of that fact, you can tell the owners and staff pride themselves on keeping the place nice and tidy. The restaurant is very open, very bright, and the kitchen is easily visible depending on the seats you choose to sit at. The décor fits the bill and carries the I-80 theme throughout the restaurant which is pretty appealing to see. Great job, guys! ****4/5 Stars**** The Service — My trip to I-80 Cheesesteaks was during the Thanksgiving week holiday so the restaurant itself wasn’t that packed. I was able to park and walk right in. The thing that surprised me the most was that, if you’re dining in, they actually offer waiter service here! I walked in, was asked if I was eating in or if I was ordering to go, and then I was directed to a table and given a menu to order from. It was such a great and welcoming surprise. The girl that helped me out and greeted me upon my arrival was very pleasant and easy to talk to. She never stopped smiling, had a great attitude, and checked up on me periodically, which is always nice and definitely goes a long way when it comes to customer service. Thanks! *****4/5 Stars***** The Food — Let’s be honest here, this is really where I-80 Cheesesteaks shines! They offer traditional cheesesteaks with peppers and onions; however, you can also try out one of the other variations of cheesesteaks they conjure up, all of which sound really amazing. After looking through what they offer, the girl came back to my table and asked if I was ready to order. For my meal, I decided to go with the Sunrise Blvd cheesesteak, which is American cheese, applewood smoked bacon, and two over easy eggs. The cheesesteak doesn’t come with any sides so I went with Garlic Fries to accompany it. The sandwiches come in two different sizes, half or full, and being as hungry as I was(I always am haha), I decided to go with the full sandwich. The girl nodded in approval so I assume those two were pretty popular with the local crowd. While waiting for my food, the girl came back to my table in a few short minutes and handed me a plate with a small sample of their Banana Nut Bread/Muffin(on the house! Thanks!)…and my goodness, that single bite was pretty good and almost made me want to order a bigger muffin or a whole loaf itself! If you have the ability to try it out, I would recommend at least giving it a go. When my meal arrived, I was truly taken aback when I laid my eyes on what was being presented to me. First, the garlic fries looked delicious. Fried perfectly and served with a Chipotle sauce that was REALLY addicting. There was also a generous amount of parmesan cheese grated and served on top of the fresh fries, which made for a delicious compliment to them. While the garlic fries were really good, I can’t wait to go back and try the other sides, especially the onion rings. Now, to the main event, the Sunrise Blvd. Cheesesteak… goodness, that sandwich looked absolutely delicious! Truly, the first thing that caught my eye were the two gigantic over easy eggs that were sitting on top of the cheesesteak completely obstructing the view of the cheesesteak itself, but I knew it was under there somewhere haha. The bread was Amoroso, soft, and almost looked buttered, the meat was tender and flavorful, and the cheese just made it that much better. I cut my cheesesteak in half using the eggs as my natural dividing point and as I devoured my sandwich, the cracking of the yolk on the egg after a few bites just added another level of flavor and deliciousness to my, already, fantastic cheesesteak! The Sunrise Blvd cheesesteak is delicious and definitely recommended! Overall — There are a few other cheesesteak places located in the Fairfield/Vacaville area, but I-80 Cheesesteak has got to be the best cheesesteak in Solano County until someone suggests otherwise or points me in the direction of one better. In the meantime, I-80 has definitely set the bar and met my expectations as to what a cheesesteak should look and taste like. I look forward to coming back and trying the other cheesesteaks on the menu. Thank you for a great first experience, I-80! I’ll definitely see you guys again!

First off. This place is really well hidden. My favorite Thai spot is right next door and I’ve never spotted this place until recently. The décor inside is really cute. Not overdone and I love how they incorporate local street names in their décor and menu. I ordered the create your own cheesesteak with rib eye, grilled onions, bacon, and an egg. It was good except my egg tasted like a burned grill. Meaning they didn’t scrape the grill off very well before frying it. I used to work in foods and when I cooked eggs on the grill, they NEVER turned black. Needless to say, it kinda grossed me out. The prices were a little high for my taste. Anyways, this isn’t something i would crave or say ‘I’m feeling like eating here today’. It’s more of a place I’d agree going to if the other person named this vs other not so great restaurants.

Gross. Over seasoned meat. Don’t even really want to talk about it. I asked for Cheese Whiz and fried onions. It came with a pile of soggy onion ring sticks on top; which is not a bad idea(if you ask for a pile of onion ring on top of your steak), but it tasted like someone was pouring MSG on top of the sandwich and the lid fell off. If the good people at Amoroso were to sample my steak I think they would stop selling rolls to this place.

The sandwiches and burgers are truly awesome and delicious but the french fries need to be better. They were just okay. With that said, the chili cheese fries were terrific… Table service is over kill in this tiny place and with the high price of the food the pressure to leave another $ 5 on the table for your server puts lunch at 35.00 since two people can expect to pay around $ 30.00 for lunch or dinner. That will effect how often we will go for sure. The staff is very polite

This place is so good. The Cheesesteaks are delicious. It’s a cute fast food joint and you can grab and go or dine in. They’ve got a variety of items on the menu including yummy banana bites. The employees are really nice and friendly. It’s a little pricey but its not like your going to eat here everyday and its more of a specialty food joint. You’ve got to try this place!

$ 36 for 1– 12″ I80 West(splitting between 2 people), 1– 6″ Sunrise, 1 order of 6 wings, 2 orders of fries(thought I only ordered 1), and 2 fountain drinks. That’s pretty expensive!!! Taste was just ok-had better! One side of the 12″ sandwich was not evenly filled. The bread was too thick, especially for the(slim) amount of filing. The wings also had an ok flavor but very small pieces. Probably wont come back and will continue going the Cheesesteak Shop in Vacaville and/or Suisun, where quality and prices are better.
