IHOP

Today me and my family had brunch here. They weren’t busy and we got right in. Right from the get go I got bad vibes from our waitress, she wouldn’t smile, made no eye contact and seemed like she couldn’t wait to get away from us. At first I thought she was shy but we had families on each side of us and she was very attentive to them, putting their needs before ours even though we were there first. My son noticed the difference in treatment as well, it was obvious to us that we were the wrong skin color, (we are white and Pacific Islander). There were other factors too but the difference in treatment was like night and day. IHOP management needs to watch their staff.

After walking out of Denny’s located a mile away (1360 Holiday Lane) for not acknowledging us for 20 minutes, we wound up at this Denny’s. At ihop, the host was busy when we walked in but he immediately acknowledged us! Wow, that felt great! Within a minute or two he sat us down. The waitress was busy but acknowledged us. Wow! She helped us within a few minutes. The service was great! If I travel again and stop in Fairfield, I will definitely drive a mile away from the freeway to eat here again. Thank you ihop host and waitress for making us feel like welcomed customers!

Went to Ihop in expectation of a decent experience. Well it was extremely warm and humid, so we ask our server can they perhaps turn on the ceiling fan. She said they are not working, and the air and heat don’t work. The poor cook was back there sweating like a dog while trying to cook. We had a great server she was very nice. And I take my hat off to the Cook to have to work in those conditions. Shame Shame on the owner

Had to come in to experience the cupcake pancakes, always seduced by the look of those rainbow sprinkles! IHOP provided the perfect fix for craving both pancakes/​dessert, the cupcake frosting made the first few bites taste JUST like funfetti cake, YUM! Sadly the frosting doesn’t reach the 2^nd cake, id recommend asking for extra. I got a short stack (2) pretty sure it comes with 4 usually but 2 was just the right amount. Behold the beauty! And for only 4 bucks! Good quick, cheap, sweet option for breakfast.

I was charged 1.69 extra for substituting 2 turkey sausage links from 2 pork links. First I wasn’t told that I would be charged extra, secondly really? I’ve never been charged extra for a alternate breakfast meat before at a restaurant. I don’t eat pork as a dietary and religious preference. I won’t go there again. And the whole place, menu, service and prices seem to be going down hill. There are too many other options for breakfast. I went there cause I thought it would be fast. The wait was very long. Maybe they had to run to grocery outlet to buy the turkey sausage.

I’m really rather disappointed in how bad the service here has gotten. I don’t know what happened, but ihop used to be a good place to go for any meal. But, not anymore.

If 0 stars we’re available this place deserves it. Horrible customer service, dirty and tasteless cold food. Ihop should be out of business

Service was not exceptional, but not bad. not sure why there are a lot of bad reviews on here. It did take them a while to get me my food, but other than that food was fine.

First impression was not good, too many people trying to seat patrons and taking people that were on the list after others, talking badly about other patrons in front of us while we were waiting to be seated. It was nuts, no organization at all. Once seated our waitress was good, and we got our food pretty quickly; however the food was MEH. It has been quite some time since I’ve been to Ihop but their portions and flavor seemed to decline. I’d rather go to black bear where the prices are the same and you get better quality and bigger portions.

Every single time here-​a mess! Once, they left the wrapper on my cheese INSIDE my omelet. Now, today, the boy at the front taking phone orders with tattoos on his forearm waits until a good 10 minutes AFTER he ends the phone call that «she can sit you over there-​» well SHE was not here earlier when I first walked in-​it was only YOU and you don’t know how to multi task because it takes one second to say «hold on ma’am,» «excuse me, she can help you over here.» Damn!!!

Good IHOP, service is fast and typical. Food is good. Restrooms could use some attention but overall a good place for a pancake!

Can somebody please come to the counter and seat me!!! Geez they just walk by and look at you and go behind the glass like you went away or something and don’t come back out.

Despite being extremely overwhelmed, harassed by clients, having a line from here to Grocery Outlet, I have to give props to the young blonde man with glasses that was at the cash register. It must be extremely difficult to keep your cool while being berated and receiving the constant evil eye from everyone that was waiting there, and he was just pleasant and reassuring. Not sure about the food (haven’t eaten yet) but will update after brunch.

When i come here i always feel the need to write poetry.
I must say i do prefer the waffles. The portion sizes could be a little bit larger.

it didn’t take long
for them bring my Pepsi with ice.

I go here whenever I crave for buttermilk pancake. Service: they have nice people that serve you however they keep forgetting stuff and we really have to hunt them down to get utensils and napkins which is very tiring.

Couldn’t even give this place one star … Can’t really decide if this place is poorly managed or just pure laziness of the staff. 11am on a Sunday should be a problem for most IHOP restaurants but this place doesn’t have a clue what they are doing. 15 min to be seated (that’s normal for Sunday rush –ok) But after sitting for 30+minutes with menus closed-​order not taken –and my kids watching everyone eat .now you can imagine why this post is getting wrote. Sadly to say after just moving to the Fairfield area .I will NEVER spend a dime at this IHOP. until I see under new management. And after reading other Unilocal reviews I should of known better… Lesson learned

IHOP has got to be the worst place in Fairfield to get breakfast. Well, maybe Denny’s is worse. I’m not sure why I came here. I guess I was hoping the food would be better than the last time I was there and the service would be more pleasant. Unfortunately I was disappointed once again.
This place was strangely busy for a late weekday morning. The hustle and bustle of waitresses racing around and the loud kitchen staff yelling at each other was not a good start to my visit. Once getting seated my waitress came over and greeted me pretty quickly. So far, so good. She comes back with my drink and in an annoyed tone asks me if I want to order. I order and she practically runs off. 15 minutes later she comes back and says that the kitchen was backed up and she would bring my food out ASAP. Fine, I get that it was busy. 15 minutes later still no food. My waitress didn’t once come over and fill my water while I waited. Finally I get my food and I look at the pancakes and they are so flat and smaller than what I remember from last time. The hash browns were this strange square which makes me think they just have a big slab they cut up and don’t make food fresh. The eggs and bacon were fine. No complaints there. The waitress only came back to drop off the bill.
With restaurants like Bab’s Delta Diner and Black Bear Diner in the area, IHOP doesn’t even compare. Do yourself a favor and save yourself time and money and head to one of those places.

Went here for late breakfast/​early lunch on ⁵⁄₃ and the place was packed. We were seated pretty quickly considering but we should have left, it was total chaos! We ordered then waited AN HOUR for our food! When we asked about the possibility of eating the waitress said we had one table ahead of us. REALLY, you gotta be kidding me. We got up and I told them we were leaving, they could care less. It was more like thank god one less table to serve. There were people other than us that either left or where plain angry so it wasn’t like we were the only ones. When I asked for the check he gave me the one which had the food on it, er yeah right like that’s gonna happen… NOT. Paid for our drinks and left, they were like we don’t care, and this was the manager. Never going back and I will write corporate, this was bad management plain and simple. Not enough staff, manager with don’t give a damn attitude. Not good at all.

We put an order in with our waitress over 30 minutes ago and the people who were seated before us still haven’t got their food either. There’s at least 4 other booths that have been here longer than us that haven’t got their plates either and they have less than a party of 3. There’s about 7 tables that have nothing on their tables.
Our waitress hasn’t checked on us since we put our order in as well she’s just sitting in the kitchen.
Don’t come here unless you have all the time in the world to wait and not be serviced.
