After living down the street from here and hearing a few recommendations, I finally gave Jersey Mikes a try. The staff here was nice and friendly as they walked me through a few different choices. When I decided on my buffalo chicken wrap, I waited in the very cold restaurant for my meal to be cooked. I was going to stay and eat my meal there, but I couldn’t take the chill in the air. Once I got home, I tried my wrap and it was tasty and super fresh, but the price was a bit high and I felt like I could have gotten more at a few other places on the same street.

How can I explain the delicious taste of a sub?! Have it Mikes way and choose number 7! I loove their subs and their brownies! Yummy! I must say that Edgar(employee) created an amazing ordering and dining experience. Unfortunately it was rather cold in the eating area. They should put the heat up a bit.

I’ve been to a lot of sandwich shops and this one is great! It’s quick and easy to get your order, correct, and get out. The staff is beyond amazing! Always enthusiastic. Everyone where’s a smile and greets customers with a friendly hello! The place is spotless and you never see the staff leaning around. If they aren’t helping a customer, they are always cleaning! Can’t wait to visit again!

Home of the big bun. I ordered a giant(13 – 14 inch) sub. I decided to try the roast beef and provolone. The price tag of 15 bucks was hefty. The sub however was not. The meat and cheese were delicious, but there was 2 or 3 slices of meat lined along the sub. I mean for 15 dollars they could have and should have piled it high. If they put a half pound of meat on the sub, at that price they’d still make a profit.Disappointed.DiBellas gives you a better sub at almost half the price

I’m from the Jersey shore, and the true art of the hoagie is hard to find in Connecticut. If you know Primo Hoagies(aka heaven) in south Jersey and Philly area, you know what I mean. It’s all about the bread and freshly sliced high quality meats. But especially the bread! Jersey Mike’s bread gets 2 – 2.5 stars(for reference, I’d give Subway 1 star). The overall sandwich is decent and pretty close to what I’d find at many Jersey hoagie shops. Service gets 5 stars, very nice employees. There’s still something about the food overall that says«you’re actually in Connecticut» though… I’m still thinking it’s mostly the bread.

Love Jersey Mike’s but they crammed this version into a less than desirable spot. The crew there was excellent but it felt like Subway. It was dark, galley style, cramped, and impersonal. I know Jersey Mike’s from the Shore. This isn’t it. However, the food iss fresh, place is clean, and food always tastes good. I want to say again that the staff is excellent in Fairfield. However, overall I’d rather wait the extra 30 minutes at A&S down the street for the ultimate italian sub for a similar price.

Although a little on the pricey side, the give you a healthy sized sub. Probably more bread than meat, my sandwich was tasty. The bread was fresh. Meat was sliced on the spot. The only thing holding me back from a return is the price. Not quite sure if food is worth the price. Friendly staff. And the brownie samples were a treat!

First of all I have had to literally call corporate for these people to make more wheat bread! Since they opened they would pathetically ask me to call them to check if they had wheat. What’s wrong with that picture? It’s your business to have wheat at all times!!! Not only for the first 5 people and then sit back and demand people eat only white! Your company offers wheat till 9pm each night so each time I come between open to 9pm there best be wheat. But why do I need to tell them this? Such bad management it’s utterly disgraceful. The manager is rude to customer and makes remarks under his breathe… The list goes on. The only reason I go back is bc we love the original mikes subs from point pleasant and know the franchise owner and like to make sure things improve. Listen up guys! Time to start baking wheat!!! At both locations! Enough with the laziness!

Don’t really understand the negative reviews. Was here on a Friday evening and there were 3 friendly college girls working behind the counter. I’ve tried the Jersey Shore favorite and I agree with some other posters, it was a little skimpy on the meat, which is why I usually order the Original Italian. They slice the meat nice and thin, which is important because you want it to kind of melt in your mouth when you eat it. When you get it Mike’s Way, it’s pretty darn proper with shredded lettuce, tomato, thinly sliced onion, oregano, oil and vinegar and salt and pepper. I grew up eating hoagies in Philly/Jersey and on a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it an 8. But because it’s the closest thing to a real Jersey sub/hoagie I can find around here, I’ll give it 5 stars.

Always have enjoyed Jersey Mike’s. The number 13 is a favorite. Being from the Jersey shore I have been to the original. That being said… They use Jersey Mike’s cold cuts, what is that? I find that suspect. Too little meat put on the sandwich. And the pricing seems high. $ 6 for a mini sub. I would rather go down the street to A&S and get name brand cold cuts and a quality sandwich that is generously sized all for under $ 5. I want to show the love for this place but too many negatives.

Overpriced for how much they put on your sandwich. They seem to think crumpling up a paper thin piece of what looks to be artificial turkey is filling a sandwich when in fact it just makes it look full. Especially when they only put 3 pieces on a «regular» sized sandwich. And whatever you do don’t even think about customizing your sub, the employees will look at you like you have 2 heads only after arguing with you and giving you an attitude. I understand this place is new but management should really focus on training their employees specifically in the area of customer service. This was our first and last time visiting, I actually had to walk out of the store leaving my boyfriend to pay because the employees where that rude and incompetent. After our $ 24 total(for 2 subs) we are on our way to get something dinner because the quality of the food(except the bread) was so terrible we threw it out! We wouldn’t feed it to the dog because we couldn’t recognize the origins of the meat.

I for one am a lover of the sandwich, grinder, sub, hogie… whatev! See my fave sandwich list: Unfortunately, this location doesn’t even come close to the original spot on the Jersey shore. If the bread isn’t great then the sandwich won’t be either. The bread was not fresh. The toppings were sparse: 2 sliced banana peppers, a limp tomato slice, 1 slice of provolone?! The lettuce was fresh, crisp & shredded– which I prefer. Perhaps a large Italian combo is the best option– it looked better than all the grinders 5 of us ordered. The Philly cheese steak barley had any cheese on it– come on! That’s the point isn’t it?! Over all, my grinder lacked substance & flavor and left my tastebuds disappointed.

Really good subs, the cold cuts are freshly sliced when you order. The meat is good quality and a generous portion. The bread is fresh and delicious! As are all the toppings. I ordered mine«Mike’s Way» which is with onion, tomato, shredded lettuce, special spices and the«the Juice» which is an oil and vinegar mix. It was so good! So much better in every way than Subway. The place was clean and attractive and the employees were very friendly and nice. It will definitely be my new go to sub shop. Try Jersey Mike’s and you will never eat at Subway again.
