I am so pleased with the work from Taffy’s Shampoochies I don’t even know what to say. Our Yorkie has only been to one groomer her whole life and we just didn’t want to continue to drive her back and forth to Oakland for grooming. My partner actually found this place and when he mentioned the name I fell in love with it. I read all the reviews and figure this would be a nice place. Thank you so much!!! My baby looks soooooooo cute.

So I called this place on Saturday I admit kind of late so I left a message with my name and number so my dog could get a haircut and bath. Waited, and waited, and no call back… are you guys just busy or…

I wasn’t able to go in and tell the lady what I wanted but I did speak to her on the phone and had my husband show her pictures when he dropped off our Yorkie. She did exactly what I asked her and I’m definitely going back! My husband said they are very nice ppl. So If your looking for somewhere to get your dog groomed this is the place to go!

I just want to thank Taffie SOOO much. I had rescued a dog who obviously has been out for a while. Decided to keep him to find his owners but groomers would not accept him. With the help of the Vacaville community and our Facebook community page, Taffie reached out and groomed him complimentary that SAME DAY in her day off! That shows you the love and passion she has for dogs. She knew exactly what to do and was very patient. I stayed and watched the whole time. Taffie is very friendly, professional, and loves animals. I mean after all, that’s what you want for your dog right?! Someone to love them just as much?! I am so so happy with his cut, he’s been enjoying rubbing his body on the grass and feeling free! I highly recommend her services! Thank you again Taffie!

I have finally found a great groomer in Fairfield! !!! Taffy, you are the best. My one year old blind husky went for his first real grooming experience. I don’t know how you did it. He was scared when we got there and she just held him. When I picked him up he looked like a different dog and smells wonderful. The best part is he looked great, smelled great and I am not broke. I have taken all my dogs to Petco in the past and I pick them up 9 out of 10 times, wet, smelly and not brushed. Popeye came home dry, clean, smelling wonderful and totally dry!!! As a professional breeder I would tell anyone to go see Taffy!!! We will be back so you can meet Popeye’s mom and dad Zoya and Kaos.

Absolutely the best groomer in town. Not only does Taffy do an amazing job on our Scottish terrier Madison, but also shows so much compassion and love. You’ll absolutely love this place!!!

All around awful experience. Groomer was late opening. Our appointment was at 930. She showed up around 10. When we picked up our Bichon he didnt look to happy. Hes favoring a front paw. The cut was terrible. I would not recommend this groomer. If you value your dog I would advise you to go elsewhere.

So i came here today with my 9 week old puppy to get a nail trim. I love this place already! She came out to my car to clip my babies nails since my puppy was so young and needing some shots! She even showed me how i could do it myself and was so gentle with my dog. Im definitely coming back and thank you again !

We just took our terrier cross Pretzel to Shampoochies. Taffie did an awesome job. She is very knowledgable with breeds and how to best groom them. Pretzel enjoyed his session and came away very happy. This is huge for us as his happiness is what is most important. Taffie understands customer service and was very accommodating and helpful in getting his long over due trim done.

This was my first time taking my dog to this groomer. Horrible customer service and it was the owner. First red flag was a standard poodle (larger breed) being held in a cage big enough for a small dog, while her personal dog (a pom, very small dog) was in the big cage meant for big dogs with nice blankets and toys. Next, I had an appt time at 11am, but told it would be 3 or 4pm until he would be ready for pick up. That is a long time for a puppy to be at the groomer. The haircut was terrible and uneven. Next, when it was time to pick up my dog and pay, I noticed there was no machine for debit or credit cards. I was never told on the phone or in person when I dropped off my dog that it was cash only. Good customer service would be to tell first time customers that it is cash only since most businesses do not operate like that anymore. When I stated that I was not aware of the cash only service, she gave me attitude and stated «the sign is right there» pointing to the corner of the counter. Her attitude through every interaction, even the initial interaction when I was dropping off my dog was full of attitude and she was very patronizing. She was not personable and I felt like she was extremely arrogant. To top it all off my dog has been acting very stressed out and does not want to interact much with his family since I picked him up. He has been groomed 2 other times and has not acted like that before. I just want to say it really bothered me that she had the standard poodle in a cage obviously too small for the dog that he or she could not even lay down comfortably, while she felt her personal small dog deserved the bigger cage with all the comforts. TERRIBLE! Business owners need to pride themselves in customer service and strive everyday to treat customers with respect and have a positive attitude. Never again will I take my dog there or recommend this business to anyone.

I love Shampoochies. I take my Bishon Frise and Shih Tzu to be groomed here about once a month. They previously hated going to the groomers. Now they are excited and happy to get groomed. Taffy is kind and very caring she really loves the dogs she grooms. I recommend Shampoochies to all my friends. I hope you will go as well!

I’ve been taking my Yorkie to Shampoochies for over five years. The owner is very personable and transforms Buttercup from a shaggy dog to a show dog! Great service and does excellent work! I would highly recommend this dog grooming business.

It has been over a year since I posted my first review of Shampoochies, and my fur babies love her more than ever. Taffie (the owner) understands dogs, and they love her. She gives the dogs great cuts, at prices I can afford.
I can always get an appointment that accommodates my schedule, and am grateful I have someone I can take my dogs to with whom I feel safe, and they do as well. If I could give Shampoochies more than 5 stars, I would!

Our dogs are considered «large» since they’re both over 55 lbs. She normally handles smaller dogs, but with our guys, no complaints. Her prices are very fair and she does an excellent job — thank you!!!

I think some people have this placed confused with somewhere else because Miss Taffy is fantastic. My dogs always look so wonderful when they leave and they love to come see her! She has been grooming my dogs for years. We love you Miss Taffy!

do NOT take your dog to this groomer! i brought my yorkie to shampoochies for a haircut. the haircut she received was horrible! her hair was cut uneven but the worst part of all was the razor burns my dog had all over her body. it took my dogs weeks to recover! to add insult to injury i was quoted a certain price when i called to make the appointment and dropped her off and charged a higher price once the hair cut was complete. my dog was traumatized by this hair cut. please do not take your dog to this groomer.

THIS PLACE IS GREAT! The owner is amazing with animals. She is friendly and it’s obvious she really loves what she does. I have two dogs — one has a handicap. He is very sensitive when people are near his bad paw. But when I take him to Shampoochies, he runs in and always comes out clean and with a great cut. He also gets frequent ear infections. She takes care to be gentle with him. My other dog has super tight curly hair. Not only do both my dogs come out with a great cut and smelling clean, she gives me tips on how to keep them clean in between grooming. She has also given me tips on how to clean their ears — which have worked better than the expensive med’s my vet kept having me buy. No more ear infections since I started using her tips. I would recommend this place to everyone. Oh, and I forgot to mention she’s fairly priced. Something that is very hard to come by in the grooming world.

My dog loves this place. Well she loves the owner. She is warm and gentle with my dog and my dog has had horrible experiences at other groomers. I have to admit my dog is a handful, but she was very gentle with her and she was able to give my dog, Billie Jean, a good clean cut.
If you want a patient and kind groomer go to Shampoochies!

Just a bad experience. Brought my standard schnauzer to them and came back to a horrible haircut for him. Usually go to petco to get a good cut but they get pretty pricey so I thought I go here. Never seen so many cuts on my dog and had to take him to the vet to get cream for all the razor burn he received on his ears, chest, and genital area. I feel horrible for taking my dog here and I want everyone to be warned of this place! Go somewhere else they will ruin your dog!

Just got both my dogs bathed and shaved and what a great job. I have tried several different shops and this is by far the best. I will definately keep coming here.
