I love this place! Staff is super friendly, food is always good no matter what I get, and their brownies are the best I ever had!!!

I have always had a truly wonderful experience with Zaccaria’s Café in Fairfield. They are located in a business park, right near where Papyrus used to be. Close to Jelly Belly, the auto mall, and the Walmart. Zaccaria’s is family-owned and operated. It consistently carries real, fresh Italian food and sandwiches at great prices. Zaccaria’s is primarily catering, but it’s also a deli, open for lunch. The menu options change frequently, but its always something good. Fairfield really doesn’t have many choices in terms of restaurants, especially in terms of lunch. It’s really important that the local crowd does what it can to support establishments like Zaccaria’s, so we can support what we do have. Zaccaria’s is sort of tucked away, and I am not sure about their marketing, so its somewhat of a local secret, but the customer service is fantastic and the food is always great. I would really recommend it.

My work orders lunch from here. Food is consistently bland and either under or over cooked. Clearly no one tastes it before serving. They are consistently late in delivering; today it was over an hour and they forgot my chips.

Horrible service have gone twice waited over 20 minutes for a order that i called in to be ready ahead of time. very bad costumer service. Mind you i had to remind the staff that i was still waiting for my food before i was even acknowledged. Smh

I had the Tuscan chicken. It was great but I think the maker of the sandwich may have forgotten my ranch. Also I was told they had wifi but when I asked for the code I never received an answer

Went here on my lunch time, crazy line to order only two people working. I asked for a half sandwich that they have in the glass deli display, the girl puts my order on a sticky & puts it on the side of the glass. So I’m thinking they have to make fresh one’s 30 minutes passed and another girl grabs my sticky & picks the sandwich out of the glass display!!! Why couldn’t the girl who took my order just give me it to go? I had to wait my whole lunch for something she could’ve done.

I went her a couple of weeks ago, and know when I go there it will be busy and I will be waiting. I did wait, and the owner gave me lunch on the house for being so patient. Their food is always good when I go, and even though they are not known for quickness, they appreciate their customers!

Was so excited to try this place because my coworkers rave about it. Ordered a sandwich and salad, waited 15 minutes, they called MY name I paid for it, and got back to work and it was a piece of chicken with vegetables. So they obviously gave me someone else’s order… Had no choice but to eat the food I did get because I don’t have time to drive back and re-order… and it was so soggy… The place wasn’t that busy and to wait for 15 minutes for a sandwich is a bit extreme during a lunch hour… Bummer for me but whoever ordered the chicken and got my sandwich you should be glad! If there were two people with the same name they should have clarified the order with each patron… Monday’s are long, and I was really looking forward to a good lunch! :(

Great little café near my work. I order from here a few times a week and the customer service is always superb! I’m pretty simple so I stick to the basics, a breakfast sandwich, or grilled veggies and chicken. A few of my favorites are the brownies and bowl of fresh fruit(always sweet and delicious). Its better to call in an order if you can because with several professional organizations around, it can get pretty busy at times(although I never had to wait more than 10 minutes when walking in). In addition, I believe the prices are reasonable considering everything is cooked from scratch and fresh daily.

This places lacks basic organizational skills. I called to place my order for a turkey sandwich(I have to call early or I would be waiting my whole lunch hour to get my food) and the person taking the order kept putting me on hold to check if they had turkey! Umm excuse me but it’s 1145 and you ran out of turkey?! To make things worse she stated that someone was going to run out and get some more and proceeded to take down my order. I asked her how long would that take to get and she put me on hold again and came back to the phone to tell me an hour! Ok, you work in a business district where most people only have 30mins to an hour for lunch. Good thing I asked or I would have gone hungry today. Every time I go there it seems very disorganized. I think it would be a nice sandwich place with potential if the disorganization wasn’t so visible. The sandwiches are pretty good, a little pricey.

I ordered lunch yesterday from here. I ordered the special lemon chicken with rice pilaf. I substituted the pilaf with grilled vegetables. The grilled vegetables were cold and the chicken was pink inside. The most disgusting thing ever & when I called back the lady told me she would give me my next meal for free. Like I would even want to come back for a next meal. Uncooked food is absolutely the worst ever. I would never come here again

Good wholesome food. They don’t seem to go cheap on the ingredients. I frequent this place because its close to work. Honestly, I wasn’t convinced at first but after time I have come to appreciate their attention to detail and consistent food quality.

As an office we ordered lunch. Food was average. They forgot the bread with the pasta and the chips with the sandwich. When we called they were very understandable but when we KMan the girl threw her hands in the air and said take whatever you need. Customer service sucks there

Honestly, this place is quite hidden and I never really bothered to go here until I had a few extra minutes. I was dropping something off for someone and spied their restaurant sign so I decided to drop by. From the looks of this place, its a cute, small family owned place that makes everything fresh daily. I was quite impressed with how many employees they had moving around but by the looks of it, its is needed with the catering orders they receive. So I have gotten a sandwich here which was really nothing to brag about. Quite similar to a Safeway sandwich but a bit more pricier. The only thing that has me coming back is the brownies. I got a couple of pieces and they were AMAZING. My goodness so the next day I went back and got a platter. Now that I think of the pricing, Getting the platter is more expensive then getting the individual pieces. So keep a note on that. Also, service is very very slow. Some of the employees look annoyed that they have to help an actual person. Most of them are running around getting orders ready and the other half is prepping for the day. They need one or two just to head the customers coming in sporadically and that would pick it up a bit better. O well!

Alwaaaays ask what the special is for the day. It’s always scratch homey foods. I’ve gotten the lemon chicken with mashed potatoes and zucchini. The chicken was really moist. The potatoes with gravy was tasty and the veggies were cooked just right. Other times I got the lasagna with bolognese. Also tasty. My coworker also ordered a bunch of biscuits and gravy to host breakfast in the morning. Normally I am not fond of country gravy but it was really good and I ate a lot of it. TRYTHEBROWNIES! They are the best things here. They’re really moist and sooooooo good! the brownie sides(which is the best part for me) are usually discounted! Hellllll yeah. Zaccarias is good but it’s not something that I wake up and go ‘I’m craving this today’.

I’ve been coming in more often lately. Great menu with great variety. I try to have something different each time I come in. I’ve been on an egg salad kick the last few days, it’s very good. French dip and Ruben are my favorites. At worth a try

I came here out of convenience(seems to be a common thread among their patrons, from what I’m reading in the other reviews), and would not return. It was deserted but service was still slow, there was no visible menu other than for sandwiches so it was unclear what was available for breakfast options. My bagel was perfectly fine but the avocado they put on said bagel was dark brown, and the thin layer of cream cheese was almost unnoticeable. At $ 5.50(a price I wouldn’t have paid, if it had been posted anywhere, like on a menu) I certainly wasn’t thrilled with what I received. I’ll echo what everyone else seems to be saying: Zaccaria’s Café seems to eke out a little slice of business from people who are running late, work nearby and forgot their lunches.
