So unclean. Exposed wires, door frames to nowhere. It’s like the Winchester Mystery House. I’m surprised the health dept. hasn’t come in. The chairs, circa 1960, look like they haven’t been sat in since the 80’s. Gift bags on display from the 80’s as well. If the front is that bad, what does the back look like? Gross.

The place could look a little fresher but, this is THE place to get your cake people! My favorite is the pink champagne. Friendly people who work with you to give you what you want.

Yo, these people have got the goods and they are just a bit under appreciated from the low star reviews. They deliver quality goods so it can be a bit slow or stressful cus they wanna make sure everyone they deal with is happy. I took the advice other reviers made to make a printout of what you want on the cake to say, but So silly, I totally forgot to bring the sheet in with me. It turned out fine with just 1 letter off. Completely my Fault, cus if I brought the printout in, they wouldn’t have had to deal with scribble on the order sheet. Anyway, they let me know they could fix it, but there’d be a little noticeable indent with the correction. What’s more important to me was how it was gonna taste aside from the single off letter. So I said go ahead, I’d appreciate the attempt to fix it and to me, it wasn’t noticeable at all! Praise the Lord it was a good fix haha. Anyway, I ordered the chocolate mousse with white lettering and it was just like a GIGANTIC Hoho that actually tasted great. Everyone loved it. And to me, I was blown away that even the fondant/ganache was delicious. Most cakes that’s had that, I’ve scraped off and set to the side cus it’s usually sugary gross overload, but on this, I ate every amazing bit! The chocolate flavor and presentation so good! I’ll be coming back. Thanks again Rossana’s!

Worst service! These people have no respect for the customer. Getting orders wrong and instead of apologizing and correcting their mistake they argue with the customer.

This bakery brings back memories of high school. We went there occasionally to get some sweets and it wasn’t until a few years ago that I went back. I have ordered three cakes for my daughters birthdays and I have always loved the time, effort, and LOVE that the pastry chef puts into each item. When meeting him on occasions he is always straight to the point, kind, and quick! I hear he even sleeps at the bakery on occasions when making multiple cakes. This is true dedication and passion that you will never get at your local grocery store. I suggest you try a few of their cookies and also get a cookie platter for Xmas, I saw a few orders and was in awe! Can’t wait to go back.

My mom ordered my baby shower cakes from here. Not only were they beautiful but they were DELICIOUS. All of my guests raved about how great it was and my husband loved the leftovers. I definitely recommend their cakes!

We ordered our wedding cake here. We got 2 flavors. Swedish princess and paradise. Both flavors were great! I only gave 4 out of 5 because our wedding cake had 2 sides, a traditional and a baseball.(Our wedding was baseball theme) the traditional side was lovely but the baseball side was to have a few baseball as decoration however they were just white balls. It did not have the red seam like baseballs have. Also when we went to make our final payment the female worker who appeared to be new had no clue how to read our paper work. She was trying to say we owe more then what we knew we owe. Lucky I had my owe copy and did my best to explain what we owed to someone else. I would recommend them for your special day because the cakes our delicious and the owner is super nice. I would just advice to have pictures of how everything is suppose to look like.

Before the cupcake craze and the popups of dozens of bakery shops, there was Rosanna’s. The place hasn’t change since then. They stick to the old school treats. When I’m in the mood for some Swedish princess cake,(My favorite cake!) then this is the place I go!

My absolute, favorite, bakery! The recipes havent changed since i was a kid and thats whats so great about this place .they have mastered the flavors of european pastries… definately better than any other bakery around. everything is so light, creamy, not too sweet and just the right amount of everytbing that makes for a delicious dessert. Everything is made with love just how Rosanna herself made it all those years ago… The owner now was also Rosannas head pastry chef so you know nothing has changed in quality and flavors… Keep up the good work Roland snd staff .whom by the way are always xery warm welcoming and helpful .The coffee is better than starbucks and cheaper too.!definately worth it to stop in and try some delectible delites!

Rosanna’s did a 5-star job on cakes for my son’s’ birthdays. Exactly like the photos that we gave them. Intricate and tasty. They have never failed to deliver for my family.

Little bakery in Fairfield that has the best Swedish Princess cake. I live in Oakland and will call in the morning before I head over so they can put some aside for me because they sell out early… I give them a 5 star rating and a thumbs up!!!

So I’ve been to this bakery for birthday cakes and I’m planning on going for another one. That might change because of my experience today. I’m in love with the pink champagne and that’s what I’ve been getting. I went in to get a slice this afternoon, and service was great. I waited to get home to eat it and I found a hair in it. It’s a great bakery, and pink champagne is one of my favorites, but this kind of ruined it for me.

My pregnant girlfriend had a craving for some eclairs. After a few minutes of searching, we found this gem of an eatery. Called in asked a few quick questions as I’m not a pastry person normally and within a moment we were on the way to downtown. Once inside, we were greeted with a warm welcome, a big smile and the overwhelming smells of greatness! The lady at the counter was very friendly and after seeing what this place was about, I put in another inquiry about catering services available for a weekly morning business meeting I hold. At this point I got to meet Roland the owner of the bakery. This man was very fun to talk to, as he and my girlfriend are both from Europe I got to learn about many more delicious treats I never knew existed and he was also able to get me some quotes on my weekly continental breakfast I needed catered. So, if you’re looking for good eats, tasty sweets or just down right plesant attentive customer service, you cannot go wrong here… oh yeah, the coffee is pretty good too!!!

My cousin got her baby shower cake from here Omg… That cake was everything! She had a red velvet and strawberry and crème cake. Even the blue frosting was delicious. I am not the biggest cake fan but I for sure will make Trip from the East Bay just to get me a personal cake when I’m craving some.

Just had a very negative experience at this bakery the other day. We ordered a birthday cake here on Sunday to be picked up on Tuesday. We spelled the name out for the young lady taking the order. I saw the order slip she wrote on and the name to put on the cake was spelled correctly. Today, we went in to pick up the cake and the name was mis-spelled. The woman working behind the counter was older and on the short side, she was extremely rude! We were there at 3:40 p.m. and she told the customer in front of us that she needed to get her items to go because her dining room closed at 4 p.m. Nothing sounds as friendly and welcoming as telling a customer to leave huh? Then we were up… oh boy. First, the woman tried to tell us that the name on the cake was as mis-spelled on the order slip, then she said they could not read the order slip, then had the audacity to tell us we should have spelled the name out when we order it… which of course we did(yes, of course, it is always the customers fault!) She said she could not correct the name, as it can only be changed at their Fairfield store(really it’s just writing on a cake) and only offered to take $ 3 off the price of the cake because that is what they charge to write on it. Not only was she unapologetic for the mistake she was really bent on blaming us. I really don’t care what the bakery items taste like, I would never return to this establishment and never recommend them based on their poor and very rude customer service.

I always wanted to try one of the oldest local bakeries in Downtown Fairfield! On a side note, thank you Rosanna’s European Delights for being in the less hectic side of Downtown Fairfield. You guys make my life parallel parking ten times easier! Rosanna’s European Delights is located across the street from the Bank of America and is next door to an Indian restaurant. It might be a little tricky to find the bakery at first, but you will eventually see a hanging sign that says«Pastries.» The cute little shop had this very vintage European vibe. It almost reminds me of stepping into the home of your European grandmother– warm, homey, old school furniture and displays, and friendly ladies working behind the counter. I thank the young lady who was very patient with me asking a bunch of questions about the most popular items. Before you know it, I went on pastry impulse but at least I controlled myself to buying four items instead of wiping out the whole shelves. During today’s visit, I ordered a slice of Paradise Cake, a fruit tart, lemon bar, and an apple almond bar to sample a taste of Rosanna’s European Delights. Pastries: — Paradise Cake: My mother snatched the cake from me before I was able to sample it but at least she shared! The paradise cake is a chocolate cake with very light whipped chocolate and vanilla frosting. It was also garnished with some chunks of white and milk chocolate. I thought the paradise cake was pretty good. The key component of a good slice of cake is the moist cake texture. I felt it was a little dry on that part, but the light creamy frosting made up for it. — Fruit Tart: I think I am going wipe out the whole shelves of fruit tarts the next time I am there. I LOVE the fucking texture of fruity deliciousness with a firm yet flaky crust whenever I chew. :D There’s something about the cool creamy texture mixed with the fruit that makes this pastry worth coming back for. — Lemon Bar: Well, this is my first lemon bar. I can not compare this lemon bar to the other ones, but I thought this was pretty good! — Apple Almond Bar: Definitely a recommend if you have a giant sweet tooth. This was my sister’s favorite pastry from them. I was not too crazy about it, but I thought this would make a good component if you have vanilla ice cream on top at your home. Overall, I had a good take-out experience over there! I am hoping to try more of Rosanna’s European Delights’ pastries soon!

Two weeks ago my daughter asked to have a special horse cake made that she found online. My son then proceeded to find an angry bird cake online that he liked. As they were going to have a joint birthday party they each got to splurge and get their own cake. We went to Roseanna’s in hopes that they would be able to replicate these cakes. The first time I Called on the phone the lady was very hard to understand so we decided to go into the shop. We Were able to talk to the actual Baker And he agreed to make these cakes. We would have to provide the angry bird decorations though. When I went back to pick them up the Baker was very friendly and the cakes turned out amazing. The only reason I did not give this place five stars was because of the lady on the phone and her attitude.

Been wanting to check this place out since I found it on Unilocal last year. Easy to find off W Texas, downtown across from BoA. Walked in and it’s a nice shop with two sections. Very old fashioned(outdated) décor, from the signage to the refrigerator where you can get canned soda. Lady working the counter was very nice. I asked her what the most popular items were but they were already sold out of them for the say except for the champagne cake. No prices posted behind the counter or on any of the bakery items. Noticed mini cookies in the left-hand side of the store where you can find examples of the cakes they make as well as their pastries. She told me what each type of cookie was and let me know that they are per weight price, $ 15 for 1lb. Went with 10 mexican wedding cookies and it came out to $ 2.75. That means that the slice of tiramisu that I bought was about $ 4 since my total was $ 7.10. Would be nice if there were prices listed somewhere. Hopefully they can afford to breathe some life into this bakery and redecorate. It’s a really cute bakery with lots of potential. I’ll definitely come back to try more items!
