I walked in with my family, it was crowded, and there was NO waiting section. Every seat was filled, and people just stared at us while we stood there waiting for service. No one came to greet us, or tell us about the wait. RUDE as hell. Waitresses walked by, still not acknowledging us. We asked how long the wait would be, and we were ignored again. This place does not focus on customer service/satisfaction at all. Will not be returning.

I have been here a few times. The food is marginal. The last time I went I was served bacon that looked like it was prepared during the George W. Bush administration. I wouldn’t have eaten it if you paid me. It was almost black and had a matte finish The food is cheap. While I was eating some of the staff(behind the counter) were engaged in a inappropriate conversation. I have a high threshold for these types of things, but it was not acceptable.

I have gone here off & on for a few years, and I keep asking myself why I bother. If I go for takeout, I wait for a very long time & I feel like I’m putting them out, like it’s a chore for them. If I go to sit down, it takes at least ten minutes for service. I actually walked out today because I sat for 15 minutes without anyone acknowledging my presence. How difficult can it be to say, «I’ll be with you in a minute»? Plus, the annoyingly phony waitress was like listening to nails on a chalkboard.

So I’ve grown up in the area my whole life and have been almost everywhere you can go for breakfast. I’ve been coming here for years and I felt the urge to write a review because out of all the breakfast places this is my absolute favourite! Small but very friendly and awesome food! Same waitresses have been here for years and they’re so sweet! I absolutely LOVE their home fries, the best and the main reason I come here! I would absolutely recommend this place to everyone!

I’m still in shock I normally go in and get a bagel and they give you another one for free if you buy as is but normally they’ll cut it for me. Today I go in and I never seen this guy before short bald with these crazy fake blue contacts and I asked him for two onion bagels and if you could just cut it for me. He gave me a strange look but I chalked it up to the weird contacts I noticed that he just picked up a knife that was sitting on the counter dirty and cut the bagels without wearing any gloves, then comes back says that will be $ 3. I said but normally I Buy one get one and they charge me a $ 1.50 for just slicing it. He literally started screaming at me in a crowded restaurant I wrapped them and I slice them for you if you don’t want to pay go somewhere else so I did and I will never go there again they should be reported to the board of health

Takes a lot for me to leave one star however the service and food were disgusting! It wasn’t busy at all and the waitress never bothered to check how everything was or even to bring the bill. Pancakes tasted BAD I couldn’t even eat them. Had to go to the counter to get the bill while our waitress chatted away with her friends. I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

Friends who live in the area highly recommended Scramblers, so we gave it a shot. It was very busy, but seating and service moved quickly. We dealt with 3 employees, and they were all very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was so good, we got bagels to go. They were delicious too. We look forward to going back.

I’ve been working in fairhaven for a few weeks and kept driving by scramblers so last week i stopped in and found the place to have a good breakfast and reasonable price and the service was very good smiling faces polite and kind my friend doesn’t eat eggs but likes everything else that came with the breakfast special so tha waitress took our order then came back and asked if he wanted something to make up for the eggs wich we were surprised so she gave him a pancake instead of eggs i thought that was very nice of her and this was the only place that has ever done this good food great service only thing it is a little tight and booths are small its cozy though

I work right across the street from this little breakfast/lunch spot. I stop in once a week for lunch or a bagel … Bagels are always delicious and fresh. Unique flavors and creative cream cheese options. Broccoli cheese bagel is my favorite with chive spread. For lunch I usually look at the menu board for $ 5 – 7 you can get a meal complete with fries and a drink ready in 5 minutes time. Today I had a Blt on rye fries and an iced coffee for $ 6. Bacon wasn’t very hearty but they piled it on to make up for it. I’ve had their chili dog special also which was delicious. And the chicken stir fry sandwich is always a solid choice when it’s on the board. There are no frills here, just yummy quick food for a good price. Locals love it, and The girls that work there are super nice. Become a regular and you’ll notice what you paid last week for the same meal is a buck or so less … Sweet !

Awful food and awful service. The owner is rude and the staff are as well. There is an older waitress there that handles money and food without washing hands or changing gloves. The bagels are excellent, but they aren’t worth dealing with the owner. Will not be eating there anymore.

I love Scrambler’s! The food is delicious(try the cheese roll!) and the prices are extremely fair. I’m not sure what happened with the other reviewers, but my husband and I have been to Scrambler’s dozens of times, and the service is almost always excellent. Even when the place is packed, the waitress is always friendly and smiling.(Actually, there WAS a waitress who was a bit abrupt, but I haven’t seen her there in over a year. Maybe she quit, or gave up the weekend shift!) If you’re looking for a delicious, casual breakfast, Scrambler’s is the place for you!(But seriously, try the cheese roll.)

Great bagels and cream cheeses, omelettes, pancakes, good coffee. Very friendly and attentive staff. I like it, and will come back.

I went for the first time on a summer morning, around 10:30am. Prime time for a breakfast joint. The food was meh, typical of a low price breakfast place, but not that great overall. The real problem with this place is the service. It wasn’t too busy, but the service was terrible. They had two waitresses, but they failed to manage the small place effectively. I watched an older lady sit at a table for 20 minutes without even having her drink order taken. She eventually got up and left. The women in front of me sat at a dirty table for 15 minutes. The waitress took her order, but didn’t bother to clear her table. It appears that they have a person who goes around bussing the tables, but he comes through so rarely that tables sit dirty for tens of minutes. The place is also a bagel/coffee type place where you can buy muffins, bagels and coffee to go. The waitresses also have to manage that aspect of the place, meaning that people who just wanted coffee or a bagels to go often waited far, far too long. There were also a lot of other smaller issues with the service. I was never checked up on to see if the food was good or if I needed anything. The same thing happened to every other table. I saw one women get up and walk across the entire place to get ketchup. I sat there, finished with my food for what felt like forever before the waitress came back. This is after she walked by multiple times… I’m generally very forgiving when it comes to service, but I will not be going back to this place.

Let me start by saying the food here is pretty good. I am a firm believer that it is difficult to mess up breakfast food, or to make it really stand out. They have a pretty good menu here and definitely get points for creativity. Case in point: the hash omelet. Why didn’t I think of this before? Corned beef hash wrapped in eggs. It’s so simple it’s stupid and so good it’s amazing! That said, contrary to the only other review of this place, the service was great. We went as a good sized group on Easter Sunday. There was only one waitress working for the entire place, and it was crowded. Even still, she managed to be very attentive and cheerful, keeping our drinks filled and making sure we needed nothing. The next time we’re in the area, we’ll definitely be back!

How could you give scramblers one star?! The food is real good, lots of options and specials. Very low priced too. You can get eggs, sausage, homefries, toast, a pancake, French toast and a coffee all for like $ 5.99 I love eating here.

Food was typical of a breakfast place. Nothing special, but nothing all that bad. We had several of the egg dishes and found them to be just fine. However, the service was atrocious. The waitress who served us looked and acted highly annoyed that we had interrupted her banter with the regulars to serve us. She barely spoke to us, NEVER checked on us, and was ticked off when we dared to ask for anything extra(e.g. Ketchup). We will never return to Scramblers as a result of this awful service.

Okay, my wife and I went there today, September 11th2012 to grab a couple of breakfast sandwiches. We walked to the back of the restaurant and presented ourselves to the head waitress and cook(probably owner). We were waiting patiently as we saw another person take a seat and them be greeted by the wait staff, even though we were clearly there first. We further waited for some more minutes while the«employees» of this establishment happily continued to shoot the breeze with their customers and we were completely ignored. They were not busy or working. they just wouldn’t look at us because maybe we were not sitting down??? This is crazy because my wife has done take out there before and they have a rack full of bagels presented for sale. I looked at my wife and she said, «Do you want to leave?» And I was like«Yes!». You can bet I will never set foot in that place again. I went out of my way to get into that parking lot in order to grab some breakfast. I get MUCH better service at the national coffee chains!
