Bartender, Johnny, ISAWESOME! Food is great, plenty of food. Atmosphere was superb. Can’t say enough good things about staff and food.

The service was excellent(our server was Mark), the special of the day was outstanding. The special was Pan roasted Grouper with lemon caper butter, on top of penni pasta that was covered with a creamy pesto sauce with grilled peppers, and shrimp. So glad Mark recommended this dish as it was a wonderful blend of flavors. And the serving size was more than generous. We also enjoyed the view over the pier and Mobile Bay while we were eating! Will definitely be back!

Came for the Bloody Mary and was not disappointed! Even though it is just zingzang for the mix, the grilled garnish skewer and the Garlicky salty rim made it just dandy. The skewer had(grilled) mushroom, tomato, 1shrimp, sausage, onion, zucchini — then normal pickled okra and olive on the end, with lemon and lime garnish and a stalk of celery. Great appetizer and drink combined — and we came and sat at the bar right before sunset and both the bartender and the oyster-tender were very welcoming. The oyster shucker/grilled even let us try a Shuxifeller sampler oyster. I’d definitely go back for Bloody Mary and oysters again! We checked out the patio deck, it’ll be nice to go out on a warmer less windy day to enjoy the view!

Three is for our amazing waiter Mark. We got crawfish balls, and the first time we ate them they were delicious. Tonight they were terrible, we heard the cook changed the way they cooked them. They tasted like undercooked mush. the sautéed crab-claws were fishy and were tough. Our food was amazing, we had flounder, yummy, Royal Reds perfect, Philly cheese steak sandwich(for the one that doesn’t like seafood) And the oysters any way cooked are amazing. Very attentive staff just to work on consistently. But will try it again

Great venue to grab a brew, have some food, and watch the Sun Set over Mobile Bay. Staff was friendly, and very accommodating. They have inside dining, a small bar, and a nice deck over the water. I recommend the crawfish hush puppies for an appetizer. Very good!

My husband & I ate here last night. I ordered the Bloody Mary … I was Not Disappointed ! The raw oysters were excellent, large Oysters ! My husband had the Royal Reds which he was very happy with ! I had the seafood platter. Although they did grill what they could, it was too much breaded food for me. I was not impressed with most of it. If we’re in the area again we will come back, I will need to order something else though. Our Server, Matthew was excellent. Very attentive !

Had lunch at Shux 2÷2÷16. Our server, Tim, was helpful and provided very good service. I had a cup of gumbo and Caesar wedge salad. The gumbo was very good, the salad was excellent with an unusual romaine display. My wife had the shrimp tacos which she liked very much. We will be back for dinner soon.

Great little place with a wonderful view! Had fried green tomatoes for appetizer and not only were they delicious, but the shrimp that came with them were also delicious. We chose the oyster sampler for our meal and enjoyed each. Our server was Tim(who we also had the night before at Gambinos) and he is outstanding!

Shux has very nice location out on the dock. The place was very quiet for a Saturday night, though maybe this is typical for the area. The menu has some good looking items, though it suffers from a general lack of seasoning. The chargrilled ousters may have been the biggest disappointment. As a New Orleanian or anyone who has had them in New Orleans, I would steer clear of these as you will probably be disappointed with the plate that will be put in front of you. The crab cakes and fried green tomatoes is a large portion, but again, a bit bland and could use more sauce.

Friendly staff, amazing atmosphere and location. Average food. We got the crab claws, which were good. Cajun oysters which were barely just okay. The shrimp and grits which were good but very under seasoned. And the crab cakes which were okay but very under seasoned. It depends on what you are looking for if you decide to give this place a try!

Ate here last night. Arrived early like 5:30 so very little crowd. The staff was quick and attentive as first to order wine and appetizer. But then ordered Gumbo for main mean and it was awful. Wait staff did not come around when wine glasses were empty we had to track them down. Hope the food and staff improve because the overall place is cute and cozy.

Baked grouper topped with crabmeat on a bed of butter and white wine linguine. Delicious. Also the side salad with homemade dressing blue cheese was ice cold, which for me was a perfect dinner. VERY pleased!

Found this by accident as we were driving around town and decided to visit the pier. Glad we did too! Really nice location and ambiance, if you like fish shacks on a pier, which I do. Fish tacos were good. Wedge salad really good. Crab claws well worth the money. Highly recommend!

Wow! Love the atmosphere guys –what a great transformation! Delish fried pickles. I had the Royal Reds and they were HUGE. Will tell others about how great of a job Gambino has done with the place.

We had a fabulous time and loved everything about Shux… Fabulous fried pickles, great oysters, fried green tomato and crab cake stack, sautéed scallops all wonderful. Cioppino was great too… Packed with seafood. The setting is perfect… This is living on the water! The parking lot is crowded with people using the pier and park… But you can park on the street above and the«Shux Shuttle» will come pick you up if you call the Resturant. Everyone who works here is happy, helpful and great at their job. Say hey to Fred, he will seat you as quickly as possible, even with a crowd! Conner is a great server and the bartender is working like crazy handling it all! Enjoy!

Great local place that is ran by the family that has Gambino’s. Located right on the water, the short walk down the pier to the restaurant is a great prelude to a delicious meal. We were greeted and seated in the restaurant area. They have a nice selection of drinks and appetizers. We had the fried crab claws and they were great. My crab cake/fried green tomato stack was hot and delicious! The pecan pie bread pudding was a super finish to a great meal.

We ate here last night as Gambinos was closed – that was our first choice. But I am glad that we had a chance to dine at the new pier restaurant which is actually owned by the same group as Gambinos. The first thing that needs to be said is that the atmosphere is outstanding. The walk to get to the restaurant is fabulous as everyone, kids and parents, loved the walk down the pier. It was just about dusk so there were plenty of photo ops along the way. Once inside, the view is outstanding, and the place has a beach-like feel. The menu features plenty of choices with a heavy seafood lean(shocking). We started out with raw oysters, fried crab claws… the kids favorite, and calamari. The oysters were just the right size, fresh and tasty. The crab claws were outstanding and a good size. The calamari was okay… it is mixed with jalapeños and the calamari got a bit on the soggy side. I wouldn’t recommend ordering it unless you just love sautéed jalapeños as it tended to be the star of the dish rather than the calamari. Next, the girls ordered the shrimp basket, and I have to say, those shrimp rival Market by the Bay for best fried shrimp on the eastern shore. Maybe even took a slight lead. But we will have to return to see if they can keep the consistency up over the long haul. MBTB has been cranking out the best fried shrimp for a long, long time. I ordered the Grouper Picata. Unfortunately, my fish had turned. I am surprised that the chef did not catch it as I smelled it when they placed it in from of me. Yuck. But to their credit, they removed it and offered to either replace it, allow me to order something else or take it off of the check. You can’t really ask for more than that. I ended up ordering the ribeye, and it was fantastic. Seasoned and cooked to perfection as has always been the case in Gambinos. A couple of glasses of La Crema Pinot Noir and the meal was complete. Great food, with the exception of the grouper, great waite staff and awesome atmosphere. It just missed the 5 star mark.

I can only give this place three stars. I visited here yesterday and the atmosphere is top notch! You can’t beat sitting on a patio/deck over the bay feeling cool breezes from the water. The food is par. I tried the fried crab claws and they were okay and served with cocktail sauce. I think they should try a different sauce. BUT they were nicely cooked and seasoned and there were plenty of them! The scallops wrapped in bacon were rubbery and way over done. It felt like I was chewing a rubber tire. The grits were tasty. Also tried the crab cakes served over fried green tomatoes. The crab cakes were ok as they had a lot of batter and the crab deist taste fresh. The sauce was very good that covered them. Would be a great place to grab an after dinner drink over the bay.
