The two hairstylist who «attempted» to help us seemed more than unhelpful with scheduling my 8 year old. They seemed flat out annoyed with answering our questions. Very bad people skills. I can’t support these types of businesses.
To top off this horrible experience. While taking pictures for my Unilocal review I was approached by security. They asked me if I worked for this company. Lol, while dressed in full basketball attire I responded no. Obviously. Then I was asked if I had «Permission» to take a pics of the this place. LMAO what a joke… i told the security that i was Unilocaling.
Welcome to the 21^st century #SummitMallSecurityGaurd. Smh

This place is expensive and you don’t really get the spa salon atmosphere or feeling, since its located inside the mall. However, you will get consistent results and the stylists are all extremely professional and willing to listen to you in order to get you exactly what you want. I am from LA and I was really wary of being able to find a stylist who could do my color like I used to get back home. I’m glad I found DP because I am quite happy with my color and highlights. I will be back to this location.

I gave this salon and Jenn Kidd a second chance and i still am underwhelmed. it’s time to move on, and so i did. The prices are a little high only because i didn’t love my hair afterwords.
I also received a message from someone trying to boss me into removing this review. Who it was from i don’t know for sure but, i don’t appreciate this attitude. Unilocal is all about giving my experiences and they don’t have to agree with everyone else’s. I do think this salon has a chain atmosphere and environment, get’em in, get’em out. 7 locations is not a «few local stores». It is impossible to maintain a connection to your customer base and have consistency in customer service with this many locations and honestly… it shows.

Jenn Kidd is a genius at understanding hair texture and what works for different hair. She is so good that in the six-plus years that she’s been cutting my hair, I had to fly halfway around the world to see her for four years (no joke! but my family lives in Ohio, too). She remembers the subtleties of your hair and knows when your hair is changing or different. She also gives a haircut that manages to work/last for months on end, which is great for those of us who can’t be bothered with regular haircuts. After trying hyped-up stylists in Cleveland, Columbus, Tel Aviv, and Amman, I will not let anyone else cut my hair.

Hey Akron – do you want to look like a rock star? Do you love a great haircut? Pick up your phone, RIGHT NOW, call up Dino Palmieri at Summit Mall, and make an appointment with Jenn Kidd.
I have always been a stylist’s nightmare, because when i want a cut, i know EXACTLY what i want. and if it’s not right, i tend to have a bit of a meltdown. In the many years that I have been going to Jenn, i have never once had a haircut that i’ve hated. We’ve done colors from platinum to pink to black and back, and i’ve gone from hair down my back to a pixie, and i’ve always looked and felt great.
Jenn is a genius, period. She will cut my hair until i don’t have any hair to cut. I recommend her to everybody i know.

I go to the Dino Palmieri location at La Place — Beachwood. While the staff can sometimes be snooty, the final results are great and I’ve always been really happy with my stylist, Kim.

(SUMMIT MALL LOCATION) I stopped by as a walk-in to have my hair colored (again) because I was in from out of town. Normally I go to Hair Play in San Francisco, but the colorist at Dino Palmieri was just as good. We talked for a little bit to decide what to do with my grown-out highlights and colors to match my complexion, then she worked her magic. In the end I got a bad ass color job that incorporated some of my natural color, some highlights and some new color. Staff is approachable and friendly. Salon is clean and well-maintained. Highly recommended for coloring.
