If your looking for a great wing shop, be careful putting two thumbs up because you wont be able to eat the wings. One bite of the hero… or if you want to be the hero the dreaded«buffy» wings have enough kick to join the mls. Not to go all roosting — -ha about the wings i cant forget the appetizers they have a leg up on similar restaurants. Some of the most friendly staff ive seen at a local chain bar, well franchise bar. Plenty of tvs either inside or outside to watch your favorite team win or even your buddys team lose. A little cozy on the inside and can get noisy, just like any sports bar. We will leave it at this, the wings here are good enough not to have to draw you in with an all you can eat twice a week.

The food was ok. I usually enjoy my late night buffalo wing craving here. But our server, Justice was one of the worst servers if not the worse server I’ve ever had. I’ve actually had her a couple of times before, and she was never great. Hardly smiles, not very friendly, poor attitude, doesn’t greet her customers and just seems to do the bare minimal. The last time we were there, we waited nearly 20 minutes after we were all done eating to get our checks. Which we actually never received. I had to get up the table to find her sitting in the bar, conversing with the bartender, and ask for our check. The first couple times I thought that maybe, she just had a bad night and that she was off her game, but lately I just came to the conclusion that she just doesn’t care about her job and it shows. I normally leave a 20% or more tip on my check even if isn’t the best service or meal, since I used to wait tables. So I’m really lenient and sympathetic when it comes to service knowing a lot could go wrong, and it’s not always the servers fault for bad service. But there’s really no excuse for her poor work ethic that our table, all previous servers/food industry employees felt that she didn’t deserve a tip. So we all tipped well bellow our usual 20% that I felt she didn’t even deserve. I normally don’t write reviews yet alone a review with more than one sentence. But I felt Justices’ performance was so poor that it needed to be said. Hopefully management take this review as connotation to improve as I’m probably not the only one who feels this way.

Wow! It is Sunday and I am watching four games at the same time. This is a must stop and eat place. The wings are great(Breaded or naked). I had the 10 wing combo. I love it. It is a great place to watch sports and bring the family. The locals and staff know each other by first names. The atmosphere is friendly and warm. The girls are beautiful. Show-me’s makes hooters a has been. Five stars and I will be back again and again.

Wings are good. Trust me, I’m a chicken hawk. I should know! Great beer selection, and tons of items and sides to choose from. Oh yeah, did I mention the chicken was the boom!

Friendly staff. food was so so. overall salty. but again, it’s personal preference. Didn’t try the wings but the price is very cheap. I liked the environment though. good place to hang out with friends.

This place has definitely seen better days. Wings were obviously old and precooked at some point during the day, or maybe week. Hot sauce had a distinct cardboard taste, ranch dressing was expired, and the wings were stringy and veiny. Avoid. My advice: stick to your neighborhood bar or one of the other chains(Sybergs is great) for wings.

Horrible wings for bad price. I like hooters way better and even BWW. It would be ok if your just going to watch the game.

ShowMe’s has great service, they are very attentive there and that is good. The chili is delicious and the wings are good. I do however, wish they could expand on their beer selection a bit more. What they have for imported beers are not even imports. Of course if they do add craft beers, I imagine that they would charge a lot for them. One thing to keep in mind, the appetizers are a little overpriced for what you get. $ 7.95 for less then 7 fried shrimp? Thanks but no thanks. I can go elsewhere for better shrimp at a lower price and get a lot more in return for what I pay. Otherwise it was not a bad place to go and I look forward to when we can bring our Great Dane there to enjoy lunch with us outside.

The rating for two stars on Unilocal states, «Meh. I’ve experienced better.» I’ve been going to this Show-Me’s in Fairview Heights for over 12 years, and unfortunately, I’ve experienced better at this same establishment than what they have recently offered in the way of the chicken wings. The real reason anyone should fo to Show-Me’s ifs for the chicken wings, and that’s the only reason myself and friends have gone for, as previously stated, the previous 12 years of our lives. However, the wings have taken a nose-dive as of late. To confirm this, we went to get some on Sunday at about 7:30PM and then during«dime-time», where you get 10 wings for 4.50, which is a pretty good deal, especially if you’re getting delicious wings. The bad part is, the wings are no longer delicious. Something about how they are now made, they are NOTFRESH. The chicken wings themselves seem like they have been precooked, and have that flavor like a chicken wing that’s been sitting on a buffet all day — crispy, but with that old fried-chicken taste. There was a time when Show-Me’s brought out glistening, moist, fully sauced wings, but alas, this is no longer the case. To prove my point, I offer up the following evidence: On Sunday when we ordered wings, I ordered 10 hot, and my friend ordered 10 with the jerk sauce, with an order of fries. The first thing I noticed when the wings came out was that it appeared the sauce was more poured over the hot ones than shaken. One wing looked like it had NOSAUCE at all on it. The server stated that this was because the sauce soaks into the wings. Well, do you know WHY the SAUCESOAKSINTOTHEWINGS?! Because they’re stale and dry! They’re NOTFRESH. My friend’s jerk wings were, to me, an insult. Plain wings were on the plate, and for these, the sauce was LITERALLYPOUREDOVERTHEWINGS. They weren’t shaken or anything, the sauce was just poured over some regular chicken wings. That kind of defeats the purpose of why you go out to a restaurant to get chicken wings in the first place. To further the issues, I ask for some extra sauce, and as the server goes to the window to get it, I overhear her telling the cook to «put it in the microwave». MMMMM, nothing like microwave hot sauce that taste’s eerily similar to Frank’s Red Hot Wing sauce. This not only indicates that the wings were too dry and/or undersauced, but also that the kitchen staff is more than willing to send out cold sauce to a customer. I poured the sauce over the wings and tried to continue eating, but that taste of old stale slightly burnt heat lamped buffet chicken couldn’t be hidden by any amount of sauce, which I was to find out on my next visit: during 45 cent time, when I ordered HIRO(HIROSHIMA) WINGS. Someone else ordered HOT, and someone else ordered MEDIUM. I was with different people this time, but, without my mentioning, they all had the same problem: The SAUCESOAKEDINTOTHEDRY, STALEFRIEDCHICKENWINGS. The person who ordered HOT had to ask for MORESAUCE, and as I ate my HIRO wings, each one progressively soaked in the sauce and lost more flavor. By the fifth wing, all I could taste was that damn stale chicken. There was a time when you would order HIROWINGS at Show-Me’s, and your nose would run with that great spice flavor, the ranch cutting it perfectly, but no more. BOTTOMLINE: Show-Me’s needs to review it’s policiies regarding the QUALITYOFTHEPRODUCT. In the past, I would take anyone I knew who was coming into town to Show-Me’s for the best wings they would ever have. Now, I can’t do that, because the quality of their main draw, CHICKENWINGS, is no longer there. I can go to Home Town Buffet and get the same chicken wings with hot sauce on them. That’s bad.

The food is always so good here! The only thing I have to complain about is that when I go there I can’t decide which of these sandwiches I want: chicken philly, steak philly, Sanibel chicken shaken in hot sauce, the grouper or blackened chicken!

I’ve been going down to St. Clair County with my boyfriend to visit his family every summer for the past 4 years. We always do different things when we stay out there but one thing doesn’t change: We go to Show-Me’s. The food is always tasty and never underdone. The Toasted Ravioli aka T-Ravs are awesome. Perfectly seasoned and never greasy. Always a treat for this Chicago gal who can’t find a place up here for them. And their wings: some of the best I’ve ever had! Get them with Hero Sauce. Great flavor and heat to them. What’s also great for this place is that it isn’t gouged by Cook County tax and such which means me and the bf can each get 10 wings each, an order of T-Ravs and a huge mug of beer each and walk out with our pockets still intact. See you in July, Show-Me’s!
