Bumpers Grill and Bar

Went here on a busy Friday afternoon wanting some prime rib which were only served on Fridays and Saturday evening. We were seated close to the fish tanks which were so nice to see. We ordered the prime rib and told that it was all out, so we decided to leave and go somewhere else but then suddenly they had one left, LOL so we decided to stay. The prime rib was cold so I asked the server to warm it up but they gave us a new one, I was not quite impressed with it. My buffalo wings had a piece of hair in it but the server said that it was celery. Overall, I experience was dissapointing, because we had lunch there a few days back and it was good.

I’m a huge fan. Great drinks, great food and great owners. I eat brunch here every Saturday and have happy hour at Bumpers at least once a week with my husband.

Always had excellent meals here. Very pleasant atmosphere, professional and friendly staff, always very clean and neat looking.

Love love love Bumpers. Service is awesome. Bartenders are the best (try the Spanish coffees)!!! Everything I have tried on the menu has been good. Absolutely no complaints here. I saw some other review that showed the bartender watching a game while someone’s drink was empty… this has NEVER happened to us. We live nearby and come several times a week.

Great atmosphere and wonderful servers all the time. Food is very good and always well presented. Also they have small nonsmoking room with five slots where are you can gamble and have fun! Unique paintings on the wall and aquarium make me feel like I am back in old good days. My favorite is soup and salad special. And my boys love melts, fish tacos or wraps. I love special signature for the drinks. I would highly recommend it. And I go often their to have meal or celebrate special events. My family and friends love it as well. They have huge variety and always super taste. Steak and potatoes are my favorite. My girlfriends love fish and rice. Go and try. You will be pleased. In addition they have second floor and room for group up to 30!!! Have fun

I thought this place was OK. I liked the atmosphere. It was dark and very cozy. There was a fire place with a warm fire going. I wasn’t expecting the prices to be so high for the entrees. My husband and I decided to split some appetizers. They were very delicious. We had nachos and the onion rings. I would recommend both of these items. I wasn’t too excited about the beer selection but please don’t take that as they don’t have good beer. I’ve just been super picky lately. They do have quite a bit of craft on draft and that always gets a thumbs up from me. I really wanted to give this place 4 stars but I wasn’t that excited about it in the end. I wish I could tell you why. I say go on in and see for yourself :)

Great food, awesome staff, fun 40’s style atmosphere. Oh, and a cool fish tank. One of east county’s best kept secrets.

Food, pretty good. Happy hour menu options, pretty good. We’d come back if it was strictly based on that but… Service, rushed in the bar. We felt like an inconveniece. Entertaining fish tank. Might give it a second try in hopes for a bad first impression. Almost forgot that they don’t let you leave Happy Hour with a box, so despite us ordering 4 different items, we were allowed to leave with our remaining items wrapped in a napkin

I have eaten at Bumpers Bar and Grill numerous times. I only have high ratings about the food, service and atmosphere. Caesar salad is my automatic go to, try it– you’ll LOVE it!!! If I sit in the bar it’s usually for «ladies night» on Tuesdays. Josh is our bartender and he makes delicious, amazing drinks. If you sit in the restaurant you MUST request the server that looks like Channing Tatum, his charm and «magic» service are something to write home about. This is the only classy joint east of the river. I love Bumper’s!

Really no complaint at all. Great food and service. Fancy place with reasonable prices. Not he best fondue, but still amazing. And one of the only place around the area that serves fondue. Place is SUPER CLEAN. Back room area is great for birthdays. Upstairs patio is nice on a sunny day.

To the handsome jerk working the bar. It’s 12:50. We just left. I understand you’re busy, it’s lunch hour, but frankly, you should be used to it. You had 5 people at the bar past whatever else you were doing. What can I get you. Water and a menu I asked for. Are you really bugged over water and a menu? According to the look on your face you were. Or were we supposed to order from memory and know what drink we wanted knowing you have a great drink menu? 5 minutes later you asked again what we wanted. Water and a menu. The look on your face because we ordered water screamed «cheap ass females wasting my time can’t even order a drink» you were beyond rude. And so we left. I just want you to know you need to check yourself. On top of the drinks we’d have ordered, the clams, the prawn cocktail and the calamari, the steaks, plus one to go plus a burger to go and dessert to go for my man sitting at home waiting for his lunch and needing dinner to take to work,. You would have earned a tip well worth getting water and menus to us promptly and sans your ridiculous attitude.

I went here today for lunch. The décor/​ambiance at this restaurant is very classy and clean. I love the fish tank! I ordered the 24k onion rings as an appetizer (this is a huge portion, beware!) and they were absolutely delicious! For my meal I ordered the French dip… I was not impressed… The meat tasted old and did not look appetizing. The horseradish sauce that came with it tasted like watered down spicy ranch. I’ve heard great things about this place so I’m willing to come back for dinner and give it another shot. I really want to love it.

Service was really good, waitress was right on top of her game she gets 5 stars!
Food was okay, but 5 quarter sized sea scallions for $ 25! I think that’s a little over priced.

Dim-​lighting for a date or business meeting. Fancy or casual dress. A massive salt water fish-​tank (with «Nemo» and friends) with seating around it (bar or dining area). Classic car paintings and flipper girl paintings through out.
Food is delicious! If you’re on a date the appetizers are a cost-​efficient way to go with drinks.
The waitress/​waiter service is slow but attentive. Drinks and food come out in an appropriate amount of time.
I only give this place four-​stars because of the slow wait staff.

Came in at 11pm and had to wait 10 minutes (waiters walking past me) just for a customer who was leaving to tell me he didn’t know whether or not the grill part of the restaurant was still open. (The hours say they close at 3am). I went outside to my car to call and ask if they were still serving food. The woman had to check with the kitchen and said the last call was 11:45pm. So my friends and me went back inside. The waiter who finally talked to us had to, once again, check in with the kitchen. We were seated, finally, next to a cold fireplace. The waiter gave us less than 5 minutes to decide on EVERYTHING and seemed VERY rushy. With nothing but a few sips of water we decided to leave. The waiter also assumed we were not 21. Such a high-​class seeming restaurant should have better service than this, in my opinion. Very upsetting.

Two stars for décor and strong drinks. However, the drinks are a bit TOO strong– unpleasantly so. And the food? Ick. Poor quality cheap proteins, tastes like it was ordered from a frozen food catalogue. Yikes.

Wow amazing local find! Don’t be fooled by the outside. Great food, beautiful décor & wonderful service.

First time last night. Came for happy hour and dinner. Sat at the bar. I got there around 5:00 and was able to get a seat. By 5:30 the place was packed.
Pretty cool place. The giant fish tank is unique.
Bartender was alone back there but in spite of the heavy crowd he managed to keep up very well. At one point I had to lean over the bar and see if he had roller skates on because he was gliding from end to end of the bar working non stop. Did a great job and service for all was super.
I had a chicken and pasta special that I enjoyed thoroughly. Washed it down with some tasty craft beer on tap.
All in all a great experience worth having again.

This was our first time here. We went for lunch. I was surprised when we walked in… the outside is just a strip mall… but the inside – well, it is like stepping into a place somewhere like in Pebble Beach. I was pleasantly surprised. Nice interior!
We had sandwiches (a Rueben and a French Dip). We both had the waffle fries. The servings were generous and the waiter was very attentive. At the end our our visit we checked out the impeccable fish tank. The fish are just gorgeous… it was definitely a bonus.
I will go back again.
