IO Metro

We’ve been looking for a sofa for over 3 years. To say we are picky is an understatement. On a visit to Dallas, we happened on IO Metro. It’s a beautiful inviting store and we instantly loved their furniture styles and felt at ease. The sales staff was extremely helpful and gave us our space just occasionally asked if we had any questions or if they could help. Over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday, we must have visited the store at least 6 times before we purchased. Each time the sales staff recognized us and happily answered any questions we had. We just received our custom sectional from IO Metro. We purchased the item during a great holiday sale. This made the price comparable to low end chain stores. That’s where the comparison ends. The item is EXTREMELY well made: hardwood frame, no off-​gassing, seams straight as an arrow, no extra or «surprise» charges and made in the USA. Compare that to the heavily advertised chains. The sales staff kept up informed of the order status and delays. Their contracted delivery service in the Dallas area offered outstanding customer service as well. I cannot say enough about the product quality, customer service and buying experience provide by this company. Excellent professional job by all.

If it weren’t for the dang prices, IOM would get a perfect five. This place makes me orgasm. For realz. Everything is… gorgeous. I can’t speak to deliveries, service, nor quality over time… but I can say that each time my eyes lay upon almost all of their pieces, I want to buy. If you’re in the market for furnishings, I can recommend giving them at least a «look.»

I bought a console from this store online. It’s the only piece of furniture I’ve ever bought online and when it arrived I was more than pleased. The console weighs about 200lbs and is sturdy. This should last for decades. I’ll start buying more pieces from them when they have a sale.

When my husband and I decided to go furniture shopping we foolishly assumed we would find good stuff at furniture chains. Five seedy stores later we gave up and went to IO metro instead.
Angeline was awesome, she asked us what we were looking for and quickly printed out all the combinations of sofa fabrics and styles for us to choose from. Since we were a little hesitant on the price, we told her we’d go home and sleep on it.
I come back the following week and she still remembers my name and exactly what I wanted! Awesome customer service.
I can understand that most people shy away from this type of furniture store because of the prices but IO metro always has some kind of sale. We got our couch «tax-​free». wahoooo!
She told us our couch would take 6 – 8 weeks to construct and complete. Being the skeptical consumer that I am, I automatically added an extra 3 weeks to her estimate. Proven wrong once again. six weeks on the dot, it was ready.
Icing on the cake: I received a thank-​you postcard from Angeline to thank me for my purchase and to keep me updated on the status of my order. I know I’m a sucker for this kinda of thing but I still love the attention.

What I love about I.O. Metro is that they look expensive but aren’t. They constantly have some sort of 25% or 50% sale going on. Their furnishings and accessories are totally unique and really beautiful. They have amazing artwork in the back and a very helpful staff. Around Thanksgiving, I found a $ 200 white leather couch and it was sadly reserved. However, one of the staff took my name anyways and said that if the people who reserved it didn’t come in by noon and didn’t respond to his call, he’d call me up. Sure enough, come 12:30, I got a phone call from I.O. Metro telling me they still had the sofa. I was unable to purchase it due to my own issues but I couldn’t believe what a deal it was. The only problem I have with them is they don’t have a delivery service. They just refer one to you. Can’t wait till I don’t live on a third floor apartment so I can get some furniture I don’t have to carry up lots and lots of stairs.
