I’m a southern girl and i was raised on spices, herbs and just down right FLAVOR!!! To my knowledge I expect Italian food to be spot on with a lot of flavor with the meats and cheeses and seasonings. But when I moved to NY/NJ imagine my surprise when I realized that more than half of the italian spots here don’t really have any flavor to them whatsoever. Very disappointing. UNTIL Luigi’s, thank God I’ve been here 2 years now and I finally found the flavor again!!!

best chicken cutlet sandwich. dont bother going anywhere else for one. I have been going for years and no other place has proved my taste buds wrong! the pizza is also well made and their sauce is great as well. try it.

I’ve gotten takeout from this place twice. BOTH times they screwed up my order. The first time they forgot to put 3 drinks in the bag and the second time they gave me a side order of broccoli rabe when I ordered a broccoli rabe sub. I’m not one to call back and fuss(I’m just hungry at this point) but I’ll never get food from here again. The food isn’t bad that’s why I’m giving it two stars. It’s absolutely not the best pizza spot in town.

Might at well eat pizza from LA… found a roach in the cheese grater stay away from this place. When I pointed it out they laughed it off like it was nothing… I can imagine the things I don’t see and they find acceptable

Horrible pizza! Buffalo chicken pizza it’s like they grab a bunch of chicken wings and drop it over a plain pie, very very poor quality, margarita pizza is so oily and the flavor is just cheese and oil!!! Yuck never again from luigis pizza, adiós!

Ordered a cold sub«Speciale» from here and it was FAR from Special. First of all, my order took almost 2 hours to be delivered! Absolutely uncalled for! Secondly, by the time my order arrived, the sub was extremely soggy! I was starving, and didn’t want to have to send it back and wait for a replacement, so I put it in my toaster oven. The sub itself looked as if it was quickly thrown together, yet still took 2 hours to deliver. Won’t order from this place again!

What’s upsetting is I see good reviews and it makes curious to think what my pie and garlic knots would’ve tasted like. Regrettably, I never found out because my order of them took an hour and 40 minutes to get to me. I ended up canceling my delivery after an 1 hour 20 minutes, and he still showed up(at full price), where I ended up refusing it(and the pie was cold). A pie and garlic knots, not too difficult. It’s a shame, when I like a place I tend to order from them a lot. And this is the week Vincent’s and Garden Pizza are closed for vacation, two major competitors are out and you don’t take advantage of that. How do you run a business with unreliable drivers. Smh. This place was better 2012 it seems.

Still can not find good pizza in this area. Pizza was edible, I suppose. Garlic knots were stale. Also tried the ham and cheese calzone and that was decent.

The garlic knots are to die for! When I’m back in Jersey, this will be a «MUST»

Went back to Luigi’s following a great first experience several months ago, and craving something besides for their tasty pizza I recall like it was just yesterday! So yesterday at about 2:30 pm or a little after perhaps, I went and ordered the baked ziti upon recommendation from a Unilocal review I had read, boy was it dead on delicious! I even brought my son a portion of it as he loves ziti from basically anywhere and everywhere! I have to order some other dish the next time or another helping of baked ziti if I start getting afternoon cravings again! The service here is friendly and great and the prices are always right! Food appeal =5/5 Service =4.5/5 Ambience: average pizzeria. Have a big flatscreen tv! Price=5/5. You have to come to Luigi’s and see exactly what I am describing for yourself!

I recently moved to the area but remember going to eat pizza here when I was very young with my dad. The area is filled with italian restaurants, but now that I live here I consistently order take out from this one restaurant because of the really good food they make. I mostly order entrees such as baked ziti, penne vodka, or stuffed shells, but anything you order is pretty much awesome.
