Tuesday night special features Prime Rib queen cut, for only $ 10.99, and quality was outstanding. Fish & chips are excellent too. Been back many times and that is proof that they are doing it right.

Had the valentines special. 4 courses with wine for 39.00. Good deal. I had the surf and turf with shrimp, chowder, salad and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Tips were done properly at medium rare and the 3 shrimp were tasty. All in all everything was good. Service was prompt and courteous. Jane had the same except with scrod with the tips.

One of the worse experiences I’ve encountered in a very long time. Arrived at the host stand and waited for what seemed liked hours. Mind you the dining room was empty! Finally sat and ordered our apps and meal. They forgot 1 app… when the delivered our meal we told then what had happened and no response. As we began to eat they tried to deliver our 2nd app and we refused. As I proceeded to eat, after waiting 30 minutes for a burger, it was over cooked. My boyfriend said his steak sandwich was horrible. We couldn’t wash the nastiness down with anything because our drink glasses had been empty for 45 minutes. Finally someone(who cared) came to the table and after hearing our experience aplogized, removed our meals and compt the tab. I would give this«0» stars if I could.

I was in town for a while and staying at the Comfort Inn. There is a little tavern in the parking lot called BKs. I stopped in for something to eat and ordered a Cobb Salad. While waiting for my meal I asked for some water. The bartender made fun of my accent and then forgot to get it for me. Her name was either kitten or Nikki or something. When my meal came she remembered my water and offered to put the juke box on for me. She played hit songs and all the classics. Very sweet girl. At this point I realized she should be tipped very well. The Cobb Salad was sooo good. It must have been a Wednesday because a guy showed up to do Quizzo. I ended up finishing the entire salad and talking with a nice guy from Pittsburgh who I called Texas. He was working on a pipeline in the area and away from home just like me. We laughed and drank and made friends with the locals. One guy who loved the Red Sox was telling me something about Canadia. The other guy named Tony was a cool dude too and another guy in a red shirt were all very nice. So me and Texas got hammered and hit up the Dunkin Donut which was also in the parking lot. I woke up covered in ketchup next to a big and toasted. Great times. Also try the baked macaroni its good as fu*k

I ate at BKs tonight & it was really good! I had the French dip sandwich & sweet potato fries. The prices were reasonable, the staff was nice & prompt. Also, the owner came out & introduced himself to people throughout the restaurant. I will definitely be revisiting!

We were haven’t been back to BKs in a while. The last two times we went there the food was sub par and the service was awful. Some friends invited us out, that’s why we went. The service was great, the food not so much. My husband got the French dip which consisted of big chunks of tough meat covering big chunks of onion. The roll just got soggy and everything feel out. I read reviews and decided I’d be safe and order the fish and chips. How can anyone who lives in New England think that it was good? The fish was frozen for sure and had a very strange texture. The batter was good that was about it. It was a half step better than Van De Lamps frozen meals. We are not big beer drinkers but the variety was very limited. Out of the 4 beers on tap, 3 of them were pumpkin. If you like pumpkin beer your all set. We settled for a bottle of bud, not much else for beer. It’s too bad really, there is little competition in the area and it could be a great place with a few changes… like the chef.

We strolled in on a Wednesday night for trivia. I was with my fiancé, but we were meeting a group. The best part of the night sadly was the cheap, out of the box trivia. Everything from the wait staff, to the food, to the management was sub par. One of the main issues was that we never saw our waitress. She seemed to disappear to the back and pop out every once every 15 minutes or so. Maybe the had her cooking to?(Sarcasm) We ordered our first drinks about 15 minutes into sitting down(mind you this is also the first time we saw our waitress, no one greeted us at the door so we just sat down). About another 10 minutes we got our drinks(which were just draft beers). We wanted to order our food, but the minute our waitress dropped off our drinks, she was gone. Another 10 minutes or so go by(now I am starving by this point, I have one beer in me, and I can get a little testy), I wave the waitress over asking if she would take our orders she said sure(not like a smiley sure but an annoyed sure)! I was so happy! My fiancé and I order something super simple, buffalo chicken tenders and a Caesar salad. Now my expectation was that it would be another 15 minute wait or so. Now do you think it was 15 minutes??? Nope another 30 or so minutes went by. I am sitting, frustrated, looking around to find the waitress, she is no where to be found. I figure they must have forgot about or food. Well just after that thought the food appeared before me. This is where it gets really good. I notice on the chicken that it was a slightly darker than normal fry. Did I care? No. I was hungry. I bite into the chicken my teeth break through a crispy(I guess?) layer into an over cooked and rubbery«second layer»(is that what you call it?) below the breading. This was a three layer chicken tender! Breading, rubber, and meat! My suspicions were confirmed, not only did they forget my food they forgot it in the fryer and instead of firing a new order they tossed it in sauce and prayed I didn’t notice the tire treads. The worst part is that I ate everything! I was so hungry! I now know what I will do to survive. The only thing that made this bearable was the trivia and the people I was with. 2 hours or so and 2 beers and chicken later I left. Disappointed and amazed… The last comment I have(and I am only mentioning it because it peeves me), is that when I ordered my second beer, I waited about 5 or so minutes and I looked over at the bar and the bartender and the manager were standing there chatting, while someone at the bar was calling the bartender over(she had to of noticed, it’s not that big of a bar). She ignores him and when he says something about waiting she snaps something overtly rude back to him… really. Mind you this is all while I am waiting for a beer she hasn’t even started pouring. It took ridiculous amounts of time for anything at this place.

Had a decent sandwich here today. The portuguese steak sandwich. Shaved Steak with red peppers and a fried egg. Decent menu, but the place has a serious fly problem.

I like the place but was very disappointed when I was there TODAY for 20 min thinking they opened at 11:00am but with NOHOURSPOSTED and the employees just walking by w/o saying anything as I stood there(looking like a jerk) I Unilocaled the hours to find they opened at 11:30 so I left looking like a idiot or at least feeling like one . PLEASEPOSTYOURHOURS although IF we go back I won’t forget. Came back on 9÷19÷153:00pm the service was extraordinarily slow, only one person doing bar and floor. I think we were forgotten for a few. Food was good no problems there just still no sign for hours and the bartender slash server SUCKED as was yelled out by someone at the bar too. Very very DISAPPOINTED!!!

We were there on Friday evening around 5: pm and it had a few customers with plenty of capacity. It was going to be a break from our normal haunts. The menu was not shocking, and has something for everyone ranging from a hamburger or steak sub for about ten dollars, meal for around nineteen or a platter of fried fish for about twenty five. We didn’t drink so can’t expand on that. The friendly staff extended to fast service. The flavor was a little bit lacking but not bad, just nothing exciting to report. The restaurant is bright fresh and clean inside and out. I think they were shooting for a history of aviation theme; however It had a lot of blank wall space and a little bear for my liking. Overall BK’s Beacon Tavern is good for a business meeting, or a casual group gathering, but not as a special night out. If you’re looking for a pleasant place to meet fine, just bring your own popcorn. I can recommend BK’s Beacon Tavern.

First time at BK’s. The restaurant was clean and the service was excellent. Must try the onion rings !!! All four meals were right on. Atmosphere was between a sports bar and a neighborhood restaurant. The outside patio was perfect for Summer time. There was a birthday party on the patio last night and it looked like everyone was having a good time. Will not hesitate to go go back.

Okay so a friend convinced me to go country line dancing here and surprisingly I had fun. They taught everyone the basics. I sat at the bar and just wanted to drink and observe my first time. People were picking up the lessons really fast. I don’t think a lot of them were first timers. the teacher/dj was really good. Our girl bartender wasn’t too friendly but what should I expect hanging out in the basement of a restaurant. The downstairs bar needs to be stocked with alcohol especially when the dance room is full to the max and upstairs is dead… Not tell me they can’t make it for me bc the vodka is at the upstairs bar. Anyways. It was an experience and maybe I will be back again. Maybe.

Went here because was staying at comfort inn and suites next door for a work trip. It was raining so ordered pickup to go. Between me and my mate, we ordered: coconut shrimp, small pepperoni pizza, onion rings and Asian chili boneless wings. Pizza was kind of cardboardy but honestly anything that’s not authentic New York style is just meh, in my opinion. Still tasted alright if you are craving pizza, thin but very chewy(at times almost too hard) crust. Coconut shrimp were a little too brown for my liking but my partner thought they tasted alright. They tasted homemade and the flavor of coconut was evident but the dipping sauce tasted like Italian dressing with sugar added-bleck! They would have been better off serving the Asian chile sauce as the dipping sauce. The Asian boneless wings were probably the best item that we ordered but I was a little ticked off because the server entered in buffalo flavored and I happened to check the box before leaving and when I told her I had asked for Asian chile, she apologized, and they were back in my hands within 2 minutes so you can OBVIOUSLY see and definitely taste that the buffalo sauce was half-ass, rinsed off then coated in the Asian sauce. Also, annoying when a photo on their menu isn’t what appears, for example, the onion rings. The onion rings show a picture of huge jumbo beer battered rings but in actually I was disappointed when they arrived and were flakey and thin not thick and heavily battered like they advertise(especially for the price: $ 6.95) but they were ok, didn’t taste terrible. All in all, if you don’t feel like going far, this place is acceptable but if you have a car, DEFINITELY go about a half mile down the road to Barrett’s Alehouse, they had much better tasting food and the prices were better plus, they have a mini Game Center(with skeeball, basketball, air hockey and a few other classic arcade-type games.)

I’m sorry to say that this restaurant will probably never be the type of restaurant that I would frequent. it’s a shame because it’s one of the few restaurants in a short distance of my home. In order for a restaurant to be successful it needs to know exactly what kind of a restaurant that it is. Unfortunately BK’s tavern has not discovered its own identity. The décor itself is rather confusing and outdated and in some respects it almost seems as if they are trying to appear to be and upscale restaurant with a confusing pub like décor. There are a few items on the menu that are quite good, but only a few. My wife and I have eaten there on two occasions for dinner and the food was subpar to mediocre at best, and unreasonably priced for what it is. On the other hand, we have also eaten there on more than one occasion for lunch. I had the fish and chip which was good and a salad on another occasion which was also good. My wife will usually get a salad for lunch and has had a few salads at BK’s and was pleased with the food. The same misguided concepts that confuse the décor, also makes their entertainment line up a mishmash of piano sing alongs, live combos playing pop music and C&W complete with line dancing. As A former professional musician who made his living for nearly 30 years has forwarded to this type of confusing identity time and time again. Bottom line it never works. Places that offer entertainment need to stick to a single format that will establish its identity as offering a certain type of entertainment. If I were to walk into a restaurant that had line dancing, rest assured I would turn around walk out and never return. Due to its size and location, this restaurant has a lot of potential. What it will require is some investment of money, but mostly thought. Someone has to declare what it is that they want to be when they grow up.

Maybe I’m biased because I only saw the downstairs or that I was there on less than pleasant terms but I knew I should have been more wary about a place on a street called Airport Road. The basement décor reminded me of a creepy uncle’s basement in the suburbs with the appropriate vibe to boot. Beer list was adequate if you are into Bud or Coors(craft beer snobs need not apply). However, the food was ghastly, even by bar food standards. The pizza could have very well been plucked from a freezer at a Stop n Shop in Freetown. Finally, if you are not into county music then this is not the spot for you. Maybe those of you who read this are not like me and prefer the musical stylings of Luke Bryan but you could actually take line dancing courses on Saturday nights(at least this was the case as of recently). This maybe be cool for most but it seemed forced to me and did not help shake off the creepy vibe the basement was giving off. This place could be a good dive bar but it does not really seem to know what it is exactly. Like I said, the upstairs dining room could be much different so do not take this review as being indicative of the entire restaurant. Just know what you are in for if you go down the stairs.

I would avoid this location if you can. We had nothing but problems when my wife and I eat here for a friends birthday first my food came out wrong and my wife’s came out cold. Our waitress was no where to be found and finally when she did show up to tell her it took a while to correct. The manager did take the meals off the bill, but when the waitress came over with the bil she told the whole table that it was taken off because we complained. This place is very unprofessional.

Came here last night for Valentines Day dinner. No wait time at all and was seated promptly. Place is clean and staff was friendly. We had the Vday dinner special. Incredible deal, bottle of wine, soup, salad, entrée, and dessert for 38 bucks. Great deal!!! Service was good, no complaints at all. For our entrée we both went with the surf and turf. Steak tips were awesome and cooked perfectly. Overall food was great!

I have been dying to eat here because I listen to WSAR and they have many commercials. The owner of WSAR also owns this restaurant. They honestly made it sound like, oh we have a new chef, everything’s great! Where it’s located, you need to really want to eat there, the food must draw you to Airport Road. Sorry, HORRIBLE. Got there at 5:30 and were the only people eating. One cute little waitress who was very good until she got another table besides us. Then things got tricky for her. Not very many beers on tap. We got the nachos which were edible, but not great. Buffalo chicken tenders came out smoking, screaming«microwaved!!!» Whoever heard of tasteless buffalo chicken tenders? I only wish I had taken a picture of them when they went cold. Won’t be back. Hello, Mr. Karam, work on your cook and then worry about the commercials.

I think Abner has been thinking about those Asian Chile Boneless Chicken Tenders because we happened to be in Fall River and he wanted to stop in at BK’s for a snack before we headed home. Being the chili connoisseur that he is, he got a cup of some. When our server brought it to the table, she was concerned that it might not be hot enough, but the temperature was perfect. We appreciated that she asked though. The last time we got it, I was not that enthused with it, but this time it was really delicious and we enjoyed it very much. Once again, the chicken tenders were amazing. My mouth was on fire, but in a good way. For $ 10.47 this is the best deal in town. Service was great today. The owner came around and checked in with us, which was very nice. I see the tables outside on the patio getting ready for the nice weather and we will definitely be back for that. Next time, we want to try some other things that are on the menu.
