Half Barrel Home Brew & Wine Store

Brian gets how a small business should operate. He is very friendly and has really been invaluable in helping our brew group move from brewing undrinkable beers to brewing beers that are really really good.
You can walk into Half Barrel and ask «I want to brew this type of beer, but don’t have a good recipe, what do you recommend?» and Brian will find you a recipe that will work given your skill level and equipment and then walk you through all the steps, if you need him to. The best thing is that he knows his customers and has even offered to setup classes based on when our brew group is available to walk us through certain items and techniques that we want to learn. The last time we went in, we talked about why our beer wasn’t tasting the way we wanted and he told us what we needed to be doing different in order to fix the problem. Half Barrel has a good selection and seems to always have in stock items we need, but the advice and friendliness is why we keep driving up to Fallbrook for our supplies instead of elsewhere.

I love this place! Great variety of grains, equipment, yeast etc. The owner is extremely nice and very knowledgable. Its awesome to have a home brew store that has such great hours when in a pinch on brew day.

I have visited a few home brew supply places in San Diego County but I’m glad we have our own in Fallbrook. Brian is very helpful with everything. Very knowledgeable and always willing to help with my recipes.

This store is amazing! The owner is a wealth of knowledge. He is super willing to help, even offering his assistance over the phone! This store is so wonderful to have in town, and it brings a since of community to those residents in town who maybe didn’t have one before! They even have classes! I haven’t gone to one yet, but I want to!

Been going to Half Barrel since they opened and each time I go I am extremely happy with the service and selection. Bryan is a very knowledgeable and accomodating owner. If there is something down there that you cant find and want he will get it in asap. GREAT HOMEBREW /​WINE /​CHEESE SHOP!!!

Great local homebrew beer and wine making shop. Great selection of supplies, and the store owner is very knowledgeable. They even have «learn to brew» days for those interested in the hobby but don’t know where to start.
