We will be going to Sunset from now on! My son got an awesome cut and the people there were so nice. Put on his favorite song for him and chatted with him the whole time. My son said he wants to go back to «Happy» for every haircut

My son received the worst hair cut from Sunset Barber Shop. The front and sides were uneven, the back wasn’t straight. Overall, it was a mess and we received numerous comments asking «who cut his hair??» Needless to say, we won’t be coming back. Very disappointing.

I’ve gotten haircuts in salons in Beverly Hills, L.A., Orange County and gotten poor haircuts regardless of the cost. Even my last haircut at another Fallbrook barber was a disaster. So l tried Sunset because of the reviews and got a phenomenal cut from Carlos. He used mostly scissors and took his time even though people were waiting. This last time Lucy did my hair and it it beat even Carlos’ job, even though I would still be happy with a cut from him. But how could I go back after perfection? At my age, I need to wear better clothes, drink the best craft beer and go to Sunset for Lucy to cut my hair. Bravo.

Took my son in for a haircut. Lucy did a great job with the details and is very patient with him. Great customer service and environment. Love the TV screens with great music video while waiting. Highly recommend this place!

After getting faded for the past 3 years im very sad that im getting stationed somewhere else… They always took care of me every sunday… Thanks for all the skin fades, talks and advise on buying a home… Now I have a home thanks to your mentorship…

I went in there with easy and specific instructions. Just a basic buzz all the way around. The barber took it upon himself to cut my sides shorter and fade into the top when I specifically told him not to. When I confronted him on it (even though it was too late by the point) he told me it would look better the way he was doing it. I told him that wasn’t what I wanted. When I was obviously frustrated he said «you having a bad day bro?» He never really apologized for not following instructions. It’s one thing to make a mistake, those happen. But when you purposefully do not follow a customers request it’s a different issue entirely. I will never go back. Also $ 20 for a 10 minute haircut is nuts.

Always get a great haircut here, my hair takes extra maintenance, but lucy and Carlos always do an excellent job and they always take their time to ensure they do a great job best barber shop I ever been to.

Lucy has been cutting my sons hair for over a year. She always has great suggestions and superior customer service. Love this place!

Sunset Barber Shop is hands down one of the best barber shops I’ve been to. They still use a warm towel at the end, which is rare now-​a-​days. Lucy and Carlos are very good at what they do. Come here if you want a rock solid haircut and friendly folks.
They cater towards our US Military members and provide awesome haircuts for civilians as well.

I have been coming here and getting cut by Carlos since he opened up. After bouncing around town before finding sunset barbers and seeing the quality (or lack of) of most barbers in Fallbrook, I won’t go anywhere else. It just adds that you’re helping a veteran make his small business successful. Don’t go anywhere else on Fallbrook!!!

I have been away from Fallbrook for 13 years and am trying to find a barbershop that I like. This is the second place that i have tried; for me changing barbers is worse than changing doctors.
Shop is small and appears to be a family owned/​operated shop. Tom, the owner (?), cut my hair. It was satisfactory, but not spectacular. I will try his son (a Marine veteran) next time and then the daughter-​in-​law (?).
Sixteen dollars (16) seems a little steep for me. I know of at least two other places in town that charge $ 11.

Ever since I moved to Fallbrook 4 months ago, I’ve been coming to this barbershop.
One could almost miss it due to it’s location being, literally, in the corner of a business strip.
When I first stepped in, I was greeted kindly and promptly by the owner and some customers. A very «small-​town» feel about it and it directly reflected the hospitality of the community.
The interior décor is a mashup of customer photos, personal fishing excursion shots, modern and local artwork and even some hip dolls and action figures. Unique!!!
Totally cool! and I love the «fun» and «relaxed» feel you get being there. There are magazines for readers and also 2 tv’s for sports-​lovers or those who like the news. But I’ve honestly never waited long enough to take advantage of either.
I particularly like the hairstyle scaling chart that is posted on the wall; I simply point out the hairstyle I want and the barber hooks me up. The barbers there are very skilled in their craft and are familiar with cutting different hair-​types; regardless of ethnic or racial texture.
Make sure to call ahead to confirm availability and wait times and also bring cash.
Great place to get groomed!

This is the first barber shop I tried after moving to Fallbrook nearly two years ago. Never had to try another because the owners are great. Good value for money so glad to reward them with five stars.

I went there for the first time on tuesday. Was very pleaed with customer service and the quality of my haircut. Very laid back place. soccer on the tv and reggae in the background. Told the barber i would be returning. Price is a little bit more expensive than what i am used to paying in oceanside, but that is expected.

Pros:
— Outstanding haircuts by experienced barbers
— Inexpensive haircuts for active duty military personnel
— No waiting if you have an appointment
— Inexpensive energy drinks while you wait
— Two or more small TVs, one in the waiting area, and at least one in front of a barber chair, usually tuned to sports AND music videos (They take requests.)
— Lots of other shops in the shopping center
— Friendly conversational barbers
— My barbers did exactly what I asked of them
— Their cute friendly dog sometimes hangs out in the shop
Cons:
— Closed on Thursdays
— Slightly more expensive civilian haircuts than at least one other barber shop in Fallbrook
— Crazy busy parking lot
— Sometimes long wait times, especially on Sundays

I’ve been getting my hair cut here for over two years now. The three barbers who have cut my hair are very good: Lucy, Carlos, and Tom. They all do excellent Marine regulation and civilian fades. (Carlos does an outstanding razor line-​out.)

Great place with very nice staff. Good prices with great quality. They do it all.

The young couple that runs Sunset Barber shop are friendly and know how to cut hair. The prices are great, in and out in 15 minutes. They even have a cute Barber Shop dog that greets the customers.
