I love this place. Been coming here for 9 years almost once a week. $ 20 for a wash, dry and curl or press. Can’t beat that. They spend 45 mins on my head. They have done highlights, low lights, covering my grays, eyebrow waxing, etc. I this place. Best part is no wait. I text them ahead of time when I’m coming and they always fit me in even when there’s a line waiting.

I was eating dim sum across the street and figured I’d get a trim at a salon near by. The first one I went to had a 20 min wait, but when I asked this salon, they could take me immediately. I wanted a trim. 2 – 3 inches off, nothing fancy. By the time I left, my hair was 6 – 7 inches shorter and completely hacked. I couldn’t even process what happened and just paid, tipped and left. I regret the tip. And having entered the store. At least it’s hair and it’ll grow back. Just got to wait it out… *twiddles thumbs*

I needed a trim and got a haircut at someone’s in-home salon. It was okay, but then I decided a couple days afterward that it wasn’t quite what I wanted. But I also didn’t want to shell out 40 – 60 bucks for another trim. So I checked out a bunch of salons at the Eden Center, and my colleague mentioned this place. So I told the stylist exactly what I was looking for– which she did, even though I was really really really nervous that she was cutting it too short. While it’s shorter than I had originally planned it to be, the layers she gave me really work better than what it was before. I have slightly wavy hair that always tends to flip– but the cut she gave me seems to do something a little better for my hair. There’s still something very very very SLIGHTLY off about my hair, but it doesn’t bother me enough as it did before, which is why I give it 3 versus 4 stars. And it takes me less than 10 minutes to do my hair in the morning! $ 25 for the cut + $ 5 tip= still at least $ 30 less than what I would spend at a salon in DC. While I like this place, I might give some of the other hair salons at the Eden Center a try as well.
