Charming old-time diner in the heart of a charming New England village. The food and service were very good. The style is 1950’s and they even have juke boxes. A fun place to take the family. I would recommend it to anyone that appreciates vintage diners.

I stopped here for breakfast because the local crew I was working with said it was the best breakfast in the area. It was pretty good. Nothing spectacular but I’d eat here again. The service was mixed. The guy who greeted me at the door was very polite and happy. Reminded me of Captain Kangaroo actually. The waitress serving me was uninterested in being there and I’ll assume she was just having a bad day. The food was good. The pancakes were good sized and came with ample whipped butter. The coffee was very weak. The eggs and bacon were cooked just right. The home fries were subpar though. Half were dry and overcooked and the other half were undercooked and cold in the center. No flavor at all. Throwing in some onions would have helped. Prices were reasonable considering the portion sizes. My food was served up surprisingly fast. The place was reasonably clean. Sitting at the counter, I was constantly jostled by the kids running up and down the aisle but that’s more a reflection on bad parenting rather than on the diner. Leash laws shouldn’t be limited to dogs. They only accept cash and traveller checks so plan accordingly. There’s enough signs around though to point that out so it shouldn’t be a surprise.

We thought the place looked cute. But the food was very bland. I ordered steak and eggs, the meat was not seasoned with salt or pepper. What made things worse was the bad attitude the waitress had. I asked for water and she seemed to mumble some cuss words under her breath. Overall it was a bad experience.

Part ll — After reading some of these reviews, I have to say I’m very amused! Clearly some people expect the world when they go to eat. I was here again this past summer a few times and have to say that Betsy’s is exactly what you would expect, great diner food. Before this summer, I had not been here for a few years, but upon my arrival, it was like I had never left! Prices are very fair and the staff is very friendly. I couldn’t ask for more. Nice to see a lot of the same faces I remember from my previous visit. I now live in the states full-time and plan to make my visits to Falmouth an annual thing, Betsys will definitely be at the top of my list when it comes to things to do.

Read the reviews that say this is an American DINER… not a quiet intimate gourmet restaurant! It’s home cooked food like you’re sitting in your Mom’s or Grandmother’s kitchen back in the 50s people. Whether you want breakfast or lunch they have it covered at very reasonable prices. Very accommodating to large groups i.e. families on vacation. Very generous portions, fast service and friendly waitstaff. It’s a fun place for all ages.

Classic diner with good prices. Went here for breakfast a few days ago. Blueberry pancakes were a bit dry and the home fries were okay but nothing special. My daughter had the chocolate chip pancakes and discovered a piece of bacon in one of them! Service as good and the waitress was great.

The breakfast was delicious! I had the corn beef hash and it was so flavorful, and my poached eggs were done perfectly. I had a taste of some fresh toast as well, and that was super yummy. No one had any complaints and the waitress was great. She was very careful of my 2 yr old daughter with the hot coffee which I really appreciated. We loved it and will be back next time we are in the Cape again!

Our favorite go-to place for breakfast when we’re in the area! Great food and prices, loved the blueberry pancakes, home fries, and ham. Great staff, a fun place to sit and listen to the locals… Originally from Pennsylvania, this is truly a classic diner in every sense of the word, chrome exterior, counter and booth seating, and that great«feel» that real diners have!

Breakfast review. I never leave here disappointed. Service and food are always both great. Hash is so, so good and I love that they offer a ½ size serving of eggs Benedict with home fries for $ 5.99. Good coffee, selection and prices. Cash only but ATM across the street.

Breakfast was good. Pancakes were out of a box. Bacon was real and excellent, crispy. No booth for singles, cash only.

A local suggested Betsy’s for breakfast. It was really busy, but we sat at the counter. Waffles and the western omelette were really good. The waitress was really nice and patient. My son accidentally spilled water and they were really sweet about it. Will be back tomorrow

The perfect breakfast spot! The location was perfect, right next to downtown and walking distance to our hotel. Great authentic décor. Staff was super friendly and the food was great! Definitely diner food at its best. Very reasonable prices for the portion size. I’ll surely visit again next time I’m in the area.

Betsy’s is a great breakfast place! We had a group of 6 and was seated within 5 minutes. If you’re a health nut, probably not the best place for you. Omlettes are great, eggs Benny was good, and homefries crisp and greasy. Definitely a place for the old-time diner goer. Super reasonable prices– cash only.

Food was great. Loved the old time feel of the diners long ago. Even cash only. Which I didn’t mind at all. The pink lemonade was delicious.

This is definitely the best breakfast place around. The menu is extensive for breakfast & lunch & the prices are very reasonable. They have a good children’s menu and they give coffee refills as needed. some people say the waitresses are a little harsh, but the place is usually very busy and so are they. Be patient & kind to them & they’ll be fine. Enjoy!

Not much to say except really good diner with really good and filling breakfast items. Omelettes were huge and flavorful, pancakes, sausage, bacon was all great. Really charming little old school menu with funny menus!

I love diners. Especially for breakfast. But. Not this one. We were seated right away(party of 3) on a Sunday morning around 9:30am. Our server seemed so unhappy to be there, never saw her smile once, and she didn’t have any energy. Our food came rather quickly, and the pancake special was decent but not memorable. It had cranberries and blueberries. Pancakes were big and the bacon was cooked well. Others in my group liked the food, but nothing was out of this world.

We went here for breakfast a couple days ago. Nothing special here. Service was slightly below average. The food was nothing special. Just go here to have a standard breakfast and don’t have high expectations. The breakfast potatoes looked and tasted like they were just sitting on the griddle all morning — mushy/soft and greasy. My egg sandwich was a sloppy mess with half the egg off the English muffin and looking like it picked up bits of grit from whatever was cooked on the flat-top beforehand(tasted like peppers). The server did not make many stops by the table so we ended up getting extra napkins and condiments ourselves from the nearby server station. And they are strict about the timing of when lunch starts. It was 11:20a and they say that lunch service doesn’t commence until 11:30. So, when I asked if I could get something off the lunch menu — thinking 10 minutes wasn’t that big a deal — it was a flat-out«no». Not ‘hey, order up some lunch and I’ll put the ticket in in five minutes’. I wasn’t wanting special treatment. Hindsight 20/20, I guess I should have sat there and waited 10 minutes and ordered lunch at 11:30. There are many other options around town. We won’t be going back.

Somewhere between 2 and 3. Betsy’s is ok. As others have noted… they have pretty standard breakfast fare. For me, it is hard to mess up eggs and potatoes. This morning I tried an omelet special: 3 eggs, onion, ham, and broccoli(i skipped the broccoli)„ potatoes and toast for $ 8.25. Seemed reasonable. The omelet wasn’t bad… but it wasn’t memorable in anyway either. The coffee is slightly above average. And yes, they do make a big deal about not using phones in the restaurant. It doesn’t bother me but others might find it annoying. Moonikas, about 15 mins down the street is better for slightly more money.
