Overall, a nice pub atmosphere with a trio playing festive Irish music during dinner. Decent food but so-so service. My son & I enjoyed the fish tacos, and my husband got the beef & Guinness stew, which he said was ok. It was supposed to come with a side of brown bread, but didn’t and our waiter Michael never checked back on our table so we couldn’t request it. The waiter finally appeared right when he brought the check and was super chatty then. We will definitely revisit and hope for better service, but not anytime soon.

We had early dinner on a summer Sunday afternoon. The service was excellent and the food was just as good. Try the Pesto Chicken sandwich with the truffle fries. Also the Quinoa salad.

Stopped for dinner with my wife yesterday for the first time. She had the mushroom burger and I had the Cape Cobb Salad with chicken. My portion of food was very generous, as was my wife’s, and the quality was very good. Many tables around us were ordering the Fish and Chips; and from what I could see, the portions appears huge. They waitress, who was very nice, stated that they are known for their Lobster Rolls and Fish and Chips. However, everything else is good too. They had a good menu with a large selection, and the prices were reasonable — other than for the entrees, which is expected as this is a tourist area. Another nice thing is that they had traditional Irish music playing. Also, the place is very«Irish puby» looking.

I came here with a group of 18 for dinner and it was amazing. We had one waitress for all of us, but she was great. The lobster roll and clam chowder were out of the this world. The lobster roll had huge chunks of lobster and the bread was toasty and buttery. Great atmosphere and live music.

Stopped in for a bite with my mother and sister after stopping in a few shops on our way out of town from a girls weekend trip. We are still a few weeks out from Memorial Day so it was not particularly busy. There were more than a handful of patrons at the bar and I would say about 5 – 7 tables of families enjoying a Sunday brunch menu. They say is quickly and offered the brunch special menu along with a fill-In yourself Bloody Mary sheet(can’t get it wrong if u fill in the specifics yourself I guess) We were quick to make our selections opting for the chicken & waffles, pulled pork sandwich and Irish Breakfast Burger with a starter of homemade fried onion rings. There was a live musician who had a very nice voice and played some original music as well as few well known tunes we quickly sang along with to ourselves at our table. The onion rings arrived and were just as expected. A simple flour coating and fried nicely, enough to crunch and flake a bit. Our main lunch course arrived in a perfectly timely manner. Adding smiles to our faces were the clover cleaves that were branded into the top of the brioche buns, a very cute touch! My sister offered her review that the chicken and waffles were delicious(crispy in all the right ways). My mothers burger complete with fired egg on top, black cheddar cheese and Irish Bacon«hit the spot» and I thoroughly enjoyed my pulled pork on brioche with sauce that was just tangy enough to offer a little after bite but not over top to where it would have taken away from the pork itself(a recent not so nice experience I had at a different establishment). All in all we could not have been happier with the food! My review is just short of a full 5 stars as with the place not being all that busy our waiter was not too attentive on checking in and my mom say for a bit without a drink refill before I finally flagged called over a different member of the waitstaff to get her thirst taken care of. We sat a bit even after we were good and full to listen to the rest of the musician set and left after singing along to John Denver’s Take Me Home, Country Roads *Bathroom was a bit tight in space but VERY clean and I liked what looked like new tile on the walls.

After many lunch visits, it’s just okay. Nothing more. Warm spread of figs and goat cheese comes in a cool mini skillet along side ciabatta. Shoulda been awesome but it needed some zip. Half lobster roll and cup of chowder combo was just okay. Same with the fish and chips. Same with the wings. Just okay. For what they charge, they really need to amp up the food. Beer selection not bad, but a little pricey. The table servers are way more friendly and professional than the bar staff.

If you’re looking for a cool, refreshing and delightful mimosa then come swing in here and see the bartender Mike. He makes such a lovely drink that’ll make you want to stick around and have more!

Came in on a Saturday night with a reservation. We sat at a table that we didn’t necessarily like because of the lighting, so the gladly moved us to a different table. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere which provided some live music! Our waiter was so nice and very quick! He had some great suggestions for us since it was our first time there. I ordered the shepherds pie(to die for), which came with some perfectly cooked veggies. My mom ordered the chicken dumpling soup-perfect. We had a side of brown bread(came out warm) and coleslaw. Everything we ate tasted amazing. Large portions and fair pricing. It was the perfect last meal of the trip! Definitely coming back here again.

Good food, friendly staff. First time on the cape and I came here with some friends. The menu is slightly up there but not unreasonable. Definitely worth the price for the portion size. I will make the 2 hour trip back here, just for the food.

Had a really great experience here. I was havin a hankering for fish n chips and a lobster roll but wasnt expecting much because it is so off season. My boyfriend and I ordered both and were so surprised. Honestly, both were the best I ever had. The lobster meat was overflowing and the fish was so crispy. A nice bonus is it is currently customer appreciation week(until 12÷24÷15) and all drinks were half price. Our waitress was so fast and friendly. MmmMMMmm.

If you have a gluten allergy, DONOTGOHERE. I cannot tell you how infuriating our lunch was. My «husband» and I are planning our wedding for next summer on the Cape, so we did some scouting ahead of time. Because he is of Irish heritage, I put a few Irish places on the list to check out, and this one was for food. Their menu has items clearly marked for Gluten-Free individuals. HOWEVER, they have no bloody idea what gluten actually is. For example, they have two items with BEER but one was marked GF on the menu, a Guinness Beef Stew(GF) and a Guinness Curry. We ask the bartender why the difference in markings, how is it possible that one Guinness meal can have gluten, but the other can’t(not even mentioning the fact that Guinness doesn’t sell a GF beer!). She had no idea and asked the cooks. She comes back and says that *they* said there was no gluten in the stew, that it contained barley, rye, and malt. THOSEAREFREAKINGFRACKINGGLUTEN. While I value her honesty in not knowing anything about gluten, I believe that if you work in the food industry, YOUSHOULDKNOWWHATYOUARESELLING. And yes, I worked in the food industry for over a decade. As allergens become more and more common, this is extremely irresponsible and can be dangerous. Thank heaven’s I’ve [unfortunately] had years do deal with this, so I knew to question; not everyone is going to be lucky/keen. All that aside, we ended up having a burger that was on GF bread(slices, not a bun), and it was actually really good. Because the fries were cooked in contaminated oil(husband is not GF), they were placed on a separate plate, which I greatly appreciated. If I go there again(because we really enjoyed the atmosphere), I will be sure to eat beforehand, but I’m still floored with the incident. It would’ve been better if they didn’t actually mark their menus instead of falsely advertising I had options other than salad.

I am somewhat surprised by some of the negative reviews. It is a great Irish bar, but I go there for the food. Their Cobb salad is excellent. They market themselves as an Irish pub with some good folk singers. That tends to hide the fact that they are a really good restaurant. I have gone there a number of times and have never had a bad meal. The service can be somewhat slow at times, but that is just because they are crowded. I am not into the bar scene, and tend to go there early for dinner. It is an interesting combination of a great bar and a very good chef.

I recommended this place to everyone before I came in here last week! It was race weekend so I’m hoping that explains it, but they were completely out of all Cape Cod beer and another choice my friends ordered, and the turkey burger I ordered was so over-the-top spicy I couldn’t finish it. Blergh.

This has become a traditional stop when my girlfriend and I cone to Falmouth. She has been coming here to Falmouth since she was a child. I ordered a Guinness and she a cape codder and of course a lobster roll. Great dish and a fine beer but 35 $ for a lobster roll seems a little much! 2 drinks and a roll with tip almost 60 $ ouch! For the price it should have included a table dance by Tom Brady!

I didn’t come to Falmouth for the nightlife scene but it was cool to have a local place to hang out one night. They had live music and the place was more packed than I anticipated(which is not all that packed but not one-local-passed-out-in-a-corner dead). Friendly vibe overall. I appreciated their beer selection. Have not tried the food so can’t comment.

This review is based solely on the bar side as I have not tried the dining side yet. I came to this pub after having a few drinks at another local establishment. The bartenders are friendly but they don’t interact with their customers all that much other than getting you a drink or a refill. The drinks are reasonably price and they have a few TVs, but I don’t think I would go there to watch sports. They seem to have a great selection of beers. The food looked good, from those around me who were eating, but I will update my review once I have tried it. I don’t see this as a hangout for me but if you like irish beers than you need to try this place out.

Only recommended for the Lobster roll. I have been here about 3 times and I would only recommend it for the lobster roll which is about $ 26(but you can get same quality/amount for lower price elsewhere in town). Anything else is just not worth talking about. The atmosphere is great, they have live music sometimes and staff is great. However, the food isn’t anything special — chicken tenders were bland, calamari was not good, pasta for kids was eehhh.

Liam Maguire’s is a local bar & restaurant located in Falmouth center on main street. Been going there for the last 9 years on and off while in the Cape. Being Irish it certainly draws out to me. They have decent live music here and there and Liam himself sings a lot of nights to entertain the crowd. It’s an OK bar with OK Irish pub food. It overprices itself when it shouldn’t. The food won’t blow you away and make you want to come back. Tried their new brunch this past Sunday. Was expecting and hoping for more. The Irish breakfast wasn’t a full Irish breakfast, no beans or brown bread which is a staple of Irish breakfasts. What they served was still good, the sausages were these huge thick pieces and the bacon and pudding was good too. Hard to beat Keltic Kitchen down in Yarmouth. The service wasn’t very good either. *The bartender, who has been there for a while, just wasn’t into it and overly social. It’s a warm sunny Sunday on father’s day in the Cape, be social and smile. She engaged with customers she sort of knew and could care less about others at the bar she didn’t. But hey, it is what it is. Can’t all have great bartenders like at BBC or Raw Bar The sandwiches and burgers are good, but paying roughly $ 15 or more you would expect more. The pasta dishes are good. I enjoy them. The entrees are a bit pricey and if you’re not satisfied after you will be upset you paid $ 25 for it. The tips can be a bit rough at times depending on the cut. I usually stick to the drinks and appetizers. Greeaat pub skins and wings. The quesadilla is also a favorite. Can’t go wrong with those. Great spot for a drink and an app before dinner. They have a great beer selection. From the Irish favorites to English to many other craft and local brews, they have a great selection. It’s worth checking out, but for seafood and dinner there are better options in the area, like the Quarterdeck.
