I have had several pies here. The Lobster Pie, Chicken pot pie, and the Pulled pork pie. Tonight my wife brought home the Gobbler, a turkey breast, cranberry sauce, gravy, stuffing and homemade cornbread pie. It was awesome. It was in a 4″ X 8″ pan so it was enough for two and some for tomorrow. It was not sloppy with gravy, it was just right. My advice is to try this one. You will love it.

Just picked up a birthday cake from this place! Absolutely amazing! I have never had anything like this, although the décor was a little off with yellow writing with green it was just the outside. The inside was amazing!!! I’m from CT and I’ll be back for sure!

Do not park here or nearby unless you want to be towed for not buying pies! I cannot comment on the food, which may be very good, but the business practices of the owner are despicable. She had multiple cars towed from spaces across the parking lot, which had absolutely no signage indicating they were private or at risk of towing. I went into the pie shop, but I did not purchase anything this time, and then went to the ATM at the bank next door before going to eat lunch at the nearby Indian restaurant. I am sorry I only came into your store to browse and did not elect to buy something. I thought that was something people were generally allowed to do in our society. I didn’t see the sign that said I had to buy a pot pie before I was allowed to visit neighboring businesses or use an unmarked space in a relatively empty lot for an hour. A nice Dutch family, summer tourists that the whole local economy survives off of, had parked their rental van for all of 15 minutes and walked into the neighboring park before noticing their van was being towed and rushing back to stop the truck. They told me they were even planning to visit the pie shop once they returned from the park, but obviously they didn’t after being treated so poorly. I can understand if you expect those spots to be for your business only, but it is your responsibility as the business owner to put up, or have the city put up, appropriate signage indicating the risk of towing — the printouts you put only in front of the parking spots directly in front of your business are not official and do not suffice for or apply to the parking lot as a whole. Otherwise, you waste the time of the police officers that get called out, the tow truck operators, who also lose money because they cannot make us pay to recover cars that were, as far as anyone can tell, parked legally, and your potential customers. I work locally — I am a part of the scientific community that is a major part of Falmouth and Woods Hole — and you can be certain I will be warning everyone away from a shop that treats their customers and neighbors this way. Go to Pie in the Sky in Woods Hole instead. They are nice there.

Simply the BEST chicken Pot pie I have ever had. Filled with a generous portion of Chicken. Absolutely Delicious, the crust is very tasty as well. The fruit pies are very good as well. Highly Recommend. 100 times better than Harrows

My daughter had a bad morning and I wanted to send her a nice treat. Problem is I live in Boston, and she is in Falmouth. I called Pies a La Mode, and the nice woman who answered the phone said they don’t deliver, but would see what she could do. An hour later the owner called me and I placed and order. My daughter had fresh, delicious chocolate chip cookies within an hour and a half. The customer service is TOPNOTCH. My daughter said that the cookies were«the best» and«can’t wait to go into the store». THANKYOU Pies a La Mode, for being so accommodating and making your cookies so delicious!

This place is aces. Got the lobster pie and the chicken pot pie. Both were very tasty and very reasonably priced. I would eat here on the regular if I lived in Falmouth.

It’s exciting to walk into Pies a La Mode and see the wide selection of pies, pastries, and ice cream, including more obscure items like macaroni and cheese hand pies. Unfortunately, after tasting them, I have a hard time believing anything at this place is worth it. I came here with a larger group, so I tried a little bit of everything(quiche, coffee cake, savory and sweet pies), and everything was disappointing. The pies do seem«homemade,» but not in a good way. If you order a slice for here, they microwave your order, which makes the whole crust soggy and tough. The quiche suffered from the same crust problems and was not cooked through. If you have to get something here, I would recommend the coffee cake; it was a little dry but certainly tastier than sad pie! To make matters worse, a slice of pie is almost $ 5 and a whole pie will run you about $ 28. I know that a lot of fruit goes into each pie, but they need to improve their product to charge those prices. Finally, the person behind the counter seemed really confused and couldn’t even identify the pies in the case. Uh?

I had heard great things about this on the Restaurant show on the radio and decided to make a stop while on the way to Woods Hole. We wanted to try a little pie for lunch. The only pies they have are large full size pies. They offered us to have a slice of pie for each of us. We basically chose a savory slice of pie for a lunch… the woman then went and took these slices to the back and«nuked» the pie slices. Then came to our table with a meesily piece of pie with a small limp piece of lettuce leaf. The nuked slice of pie was ok. So, for two slices of savory pie(one pork, one beef) and two drinks(oh and they give you a stale cookie to go after your pie). The total was $ 14. I left there hungry!

I tried to buy a dinner pie here but they didn’t have the large size I wanted. So I was going to buy a giant one. No one had a clue how much it cost. They tried calling their bosses but couldn’t get a hold of anyone to get an answer, so I couldn’t buy it. I did try a mac and cheese hotdog pastry. It was all mac and cheese with 3 small slices of hot dog in it. It was overly greasy and cold in the middle. We also got a couple different cookies, only 1 of the 3 were good. The other two were missing a bite and went in the trash.

See picture I posted. Cake looked like it was decorated by a 2nd grader. HAR Birthday Julia. Good for laughs not worth the $ 25 cost. Should have returned it but it was so bad we had to show it off for the laughs.

Baked goods still look good but they no longer make homemade gelato or ice cream. They no longer offer gelato and the ice cream is terrible as it is just commercial ice cream. Recently bought a key lime pie and it was fantastic. But for made on the premises ice cream go to Smitty’s.

Was drawn in by the lure of Cornish pasties which were sadly pretty flavorless but the clam chowder was inedible… tasteless, greasy, no cream in it. Never in 20 years of living in New England have I(not) eaten a less appetizing chowder. Staff needed training. Sumatra coffee was good but unfortunately none of the the lids fit the cups!

Please see the photo of the cake this cost $ 50.00 and was disappointing in both taste and appearance. I used to go to this bakery a few times a year. I probably won’t go back I ended up going across the street to the French bakery and buying a backup that people loved.

This place makes excellent birthday cakes. I have gotten them for my hubby two years in a row and they have been a hit. I hear they have great pot pies. I wish they made a vegetarian one.

The best chicken pot pie! It beats«Oprah’s» pie any day of the week. Lots of flavor, loaded with chicken, a few peas and carrots for color and wonderful gravy in a delightful flakey crust. The best! What more can I say! They also offer nice hot take-home slices at the summer farmers market in Peg Noonan Park. Perfect for eating at the beach or on my back porch with my family. Yum!

I just discovered this little gem! We had the Chicken Pot Pie at home and were so delighted with every fork full! The buttery crust and it is loaded with chicken, oh so good! We had some Hazelnut Gelato for desert and made a vow to make this a regular stop on our visits through Falmouth center. The parking lot is so convenient, right beside the library lawn, too easy!!!

Never a disappointing morsel. Real butter crust with flavor! All made by hand right there behind the glass. The chicken pot pie is on par with homemade and makes a delicious and cozy gift for a new mother or friend on the mend. At lunch you can have a slice with homemade cranberry sauce… bit indulgent but worth the calories and comfort. Apple pie is fantastical when served with their homemade honeycomb ice cream which is like burnt caramel in vanilla. Seasonal peach, plum, nectarine pie… yum Quiche…homemade…birthday cakes put all the rest in town to shame… freshly baked cookies are amazing. I use their scones as the base for strawberry shortcake in summer. This place allows you to grab a few things that will up the ante of your next dinner party or just remains a reliable place to grab takeout that feels like home cooking. The only thing that is slightly underwhelming is their coffee and teas… they could step this up. Other than that, it is on my weekly rounds for a local business I want to support so they keep on being there doing what they do. Your ice cream dollars are best spent here and not on Main Street where you might have to sell a kidney to buy ice cream for your family.

I have never been disappointed when visiting Pies a La mode. The pie crust here is top notch. Everyone is always talking about the chicken pot pie(which is delicious!) but my personal favorites are the beef pot pie(sirloin in a red wine sauce with green beans, potatoes, carrots) and«The Gobbler(stuffing, turkey, gravy, cranberry sauce, caramelized onions and cornbread). The Carrot Cake Ice Cream is out of this world and if you’re lucky you’ll stumble across my favorite cupcake ever. The Black Forest Cupcake. The owners are friendly and helpful and make everything from scratch. There really aren’t many places like this around.
