The longer we live in Falmouth, the less we like shopping at this Stop & Shop. This morning we stopped in at this location to purchase some items for our breakfast. When we walked in we tried to purchase a few fresh fruit items, but the fruit and produce section was lacking. The prices here are also a bit more expensive than the competitor(Shaw’s), and the variety here is less. In the end, we will come to this Stop & Shop for their floral section, but that is also beginning to become less stocked.

As long as they keep the self-checkout line open I will give them the 4-stars. Customer service in the front end is a hit and miss where you have some people that smile and say hi and others who just stand there and stare at your while you are trying to check yourself out. The prices are difficult to compare with other places because Cape Cod is very restrictive on those they can establish themselves on the Cape. They are located within walking distance of a Shaws and you can see they try to compete with one another with sales items. The one advantage Stop and Shop has is you can ear gas points to use at the Gas station just down the road in the Kappys parking lot area. I do have to say that I like the convenience of the kiosk to order my deli products so I can continue to shop while its made. The only downfall of this is I have have my order taken by another person on 50% of the occasions. That is not the stores fault but the lack of attention by other customers.

We don’t have Stop & Shops on the West Coast but this is a great grocery store to hit up when visiting the beach. In addition to everything you’d find at any other chain grocery store, they had lots of beach supplies and water toys to buy as well. We made out with a good deal on s’mores fixins, some pool noodles, boogie boards and sunscreen. Also glad there was a bank/ATM inside because a few of the nearby restaurants are cash only.
