Lobster roll is amazing! Love that it’s a TON of lobster with hot melted butter. Not into mayonnaise. It was definitely worth $ 26 for the jumbo. I will be back for sure!

This was our first stop in Falmouth during our day trip to the Cape on Memorial day weekend. I’m so glad I pressed on that gas as hard as I did because they were down to only two more rolls after our orders! So if you’re looking to come here for some lobster rolls, be sure to come early. It was only around 2:30pm when we arrived. We had 2 regulars for each couple for $ 18/each. They prepackage the amount of lobster in a ziplock bag so it weights exact to the number of ounces for each size. The bun is toasted and it is simply a piece of lettuce and the lobster meat doused with butter. Although they do give a substantial amount of lobster for the price point(definitely if you’re comparing with New York lobster rolls), it’s not«the best lobster roll» that I’ve had. Maybe the most worth it for your buck, for sure.

Growing up in Falmouth I tend to be skeptical of some of the lobster roll vendors in the area, but after stopping by this roadside cart I am sold on The Barking Claw. This vendor outside of Grumpy’s Pub is a small cart with great service and outstanding quality. Our lobster rolls were stuffed with fresh meat and the buns were grilled to perfection. I also loved the fact that these rolls weren’t drenched in mayo but buttered. Overall, if you have a hankering for a lobster roll then please try The Barking Claw. I don’t believe you will be dissapointed.

Best Lobster Roll ever!!! First time trying the Quahog and loved it so much! Just look at that amazing presentation. If I was living in Falmouth I would go there to eat all the time. Family owned business. Great people.

The food was phenomenal! The lobster roll was one of the best I’ve ever had. And the chocolate chip cookies are even good. The staff is so friendly and nice. Even though it’s on the side of the road you’ll want to make a point of stopping by for lunch!

We drove past this place on our way to Woods Hole and made a U turn to grab some lobster rolls. It was just a random stop to start our vacation. Little did we know, it would be the best roll we’d have the whole trip. We got the regular size for $ 18 each. These rolls were stuffed with lobster meat, one piece of lettuce and dripping with butter. It sounds so simple but none of the other places we’ve tried matched the Barking Claw. Unfortunately they were closed on our way home but this will be added to our list of return to’s whenever we go back to Martha’s Vineyard.

Best lobstah roll on the cape! My fiancé had the traditional roll and loved it. I had the Cape Cali – sans bun and butter, add hot sauce and Carolyn’s homemade jalapeño topping. Cape Cod meets California. Delicious and healthy too. Hopefully they’re there for many summers to come!

Everyone needs a lobster roll when they’re visiting the Cape. You’d be hard pressed to find a more satisfying one than at The Barking Claw. If you’re in the market for a lobster salad roll, this isn’t the place for you. But if you want a toasted bun chock full of buttered lobster meat, The Barking Claw can’t be topped. They offer 3 sizes: 2 oz., 4 oz., and 6 oz. The 4 oz. is plenty for most, but if you enjoy a lobster coma like I do, indulge in the 6 oz.

Don’t judge a book by its cover or size. This family operation delivers on their lobster roll very subtly and effectively. Just lobster, perfectly cooked and not rubbery, butter and a slice of lettuce for a nice crisp crunch. Side note: we love to tip, but when all the money is being kept by the operation, the tip jar feels a little bit much. I’d have felt better paying $ 19 over $ 18 as they’re great people and deliver a great product.

Amazing and delicious lobster rolls. They come in 3 sizes and, as many people have said, they are made with butter and not mayo. They have two tables in the shade to eat there and the and the staff is very friendly.

As good as it gets. Perfect bun grilled with care, delicious lobster meat, no mayo, served cold with hot melted butter. Paid $ 18 for a roll and felt like it was worth it. My 4 year old loved the hotdog as well.

This was the best lobster roll I’ve ever had. It was simply made so that you can really enjoy the natural flavor of the lobster. No mayonnaise was added. It was not a lobster salad(like some people make it) but a genuine lobster roll.

While bringing my brother to the ferry I saw and roadside stand advertising lobster rolls I was so excited for the next 15 minutes while dropping off my brother all I could think about was eating a lobster roll when I finally got back to the stand I was thrilled to speak with a man behind the table who educated me on local lobster prices and was extremely nice. The lobster roll was as fresh as can be and absolutely delicious from now on every time I go to drop somebody off at Martha’s Vineyard ferry I’ll be eating a lobster roll from the barking claw!!!÷

I love the simple and delicious approach to lobster, and this little stand nails it. I also find the plentiful tender claw meat to be fantastic. If you love your lobster swimming in mayo, you won’t get it here, so bring it home and add your own.(Or, as I do, try it with a little sriracha…). Great stuff!

I have been waiting to check out this 5 star lobster roll. I was sorely disappointed. The lobster was utterly tasteless and the toasted roll was over powering. It was also very dry without a little mayo. Oh well, off on my quest

Just off the side of the road on Locust Street is a hidden gem! The Barking Claw is a must if you’re in the neighborhood. $ 16 for one of the best lobster rolls I’ve ever had. And the simplicity of it just makes it better! A toasted bun with fresh lettuce, some celery salt, huge fresh junks of lobster, topped off with butter. I wish I lived in Falmouth so I could have one of those every week! Well done.

Unilocal, WTF!!! I don’t know who is leaving these reviews, but this was a joke. The entire«restaurant» is a hotdog cart with a flat top grill. I paid 15 $ for a highschool kid to grill a hotdog bun and pull a bag of claw meat out of a cooler to dump out on the bun. No mayo, no tail meat, no effort. My wife’s bag of meat was 60% 1 lobster claw. What a disappointment. I know Falmouth is expensive, but this is ridiculous. When we headed out to p-town the prices were about 12 $ a lobster roll, and some actual effort was put into making them. Forget this place.
