I love this place. Everything is fresh when you buy it and the staff is helpful about cooking it. I go in several times a week, summer, fall, winter and spring, The quality is consistent. Sadly tonight I went in at 5:45pm and they had already started boxing up the counter so you couldn’t really see all the fish. The girl who waited on me made me feel like I was an convenience at that hour of the day. What a shame.

My oyster loving family came to visit this summer. We went through 3 dozen a day plus live lobsters, smoked fish, and scallops and shrimp. Clam Man Is the best! Everything was fresh and service is always great., We needed advice on amounts and cooking styles, we wanted to compare the various oysters from different areas, and get the cuts of fish the way we like it — sometimes the thin end and sometimes a thick cut-Try swordfish kabob pieces in individual tinfoil pouches with jerk seasoning grill for 5 mins and done! Always the staff was knowledgable and happy to help. We now eat oysters«cold» on the half-shell or «hot» from a few minutes directly on the grill so they just pop open and go at it! Live lobsters, minus the rubber bands on the claws, are put right on the grill, with your unhusked corn, pull down the lid for 5 minutes then turn a few times for proper cooking(15 – 20 mins) and get ready to feast! So GOOD!

I’m a Falmouth resident and over the years I have purchased fish all over the Upper Cape, from Falmouth… Bourne… Mashpee… I guess everywhere from the Cape Cod Canal(that, closed fish market is a sad story, at best) and even out as far as Brewster. You can not beat the quality and freshness of the product sold at the Clam Man. You pay a bit more than at the supermarket(s), in most cases, but there is no comparison in quality. The other thing I really appreciate is the knowledge that they bring to the table. I shop there once or twice a week and often learn something new from Matt and/or John. Not so long ago I was introduced to «deep water mussels» recommended by Matt and I have never had a better shellfish in my life… and I’m old. Great product and personalities to boot.

I have been going to The Clam man for years, usually at least once a week. I have never, ever, had anything but the best experience. The fish is fresh, the staff incredibly helpful. Just great all around!

I have been visiting Falmouth for the last 7 years, I have frequented The Clam man multiple times every year. Everything piece of seafood I have purchased here has been very fresh. This store has the best seafood in terms if freshness and quality I have ever purchased from. This includes markets in south Florida, Dallas, and Los angles. If you are in the area and want top quality seafood go to The Clam Man.

My daughter Tracey hooked me up with the Clam Man while we were in Mass. for vacation. The lobsters, steamers and oysters were awesome. My wifes clam bake birthday party was a huge sucess and the food had a lot to do with it. Matt will hear from us again, for sure.

Friendly and helpful service meets high quality seafood for sale. My family frequents this store and we highly recommend it. Recently we purchased 7 live lobster and steamers. The quality was superb. Some of the best lobsters and steamers we have had in a long time. The owner is very friendly and thanked us for our order.

Why cook lobsters yourself when you can have the clam man do them for you for the same price? I had a 2lb monster on my birthday that absolutely blew me away. We spent a week on the cape and ate from the clam man every day. Everything they have is fresh as can be and top notch. Best clams, lobsters, oysters, swordfish! And the staff is always friendly and helpful.

We get back to the Cape once a year over the Summer. When we do, we normally have a big clambake/lobsterfest at our house. I live in the Mid-west now and crave fresh seafood when I get back. First stop is to the Clam Man. We stock up here. Great selection, always. Didn’t get 5-stars because it is more expensive than other places. For example, I did buy our lobsters at $ 7.99 a pound at Stop/Shop. They normally have high school kids working but they are personable and helpful.

One of my two favorite fish places on the Upper Cape. Fish is always fresh. Must be since they supply some of the finest restaurants in town. Prices are very good compared to some other places. Love the swordfish tips and mussels.
