This has become my go-to pizza place in Fanwood. I find their pizza to be the tastiest and their chicken parm is light years better than Nick’s. They need to get online ordering and I’ll be customer for life!

In an area loaded with great pizza Fabios is just okay. The patio is nice and they have become a staple in the Fanwood downtown but if I was in downtown and wanted a slice I’d probably go to Nicks or call one of the other 10 great pizza places nearby.

The Brooklyn pie is dynamite, folks! People are friendly, and quality is always consistent. They make a great sauce. Highly recommend getting their meatballs on top of the aforementioned pie. TDF ! :)

Only consistently good pizza place around Fanwood/Scotch Plains area! Love this place, I can compare it to Deninos, where I would originally go to get my pizza before i moved to my new house and its just about on par, not as crispy with the crust though. The Brooklyn pie is excellent and always made with fresh mozzarella and tomatoes/basil, nice and thin just the way I like it. I typically order a side of sauteed calamari over pasta and the hot sauce that accompanies the dish is amazing, whole chunks of garlic, so savory and fresh, can’t beat it! Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for good pizza.

I was pleasantly surprised at how great the pizza was tonight. I ordered a plain pie and one ½ pepperoni ½ sausage. It was absolutely delicious ! Cooked perfectly, crust was tasty and it was not really think. Not a thin crust pizza but not overly thick. The Brooklyn pizza(square pie with fresh mozzarella on it and fresh basil was thin crust and looked delicious as well. I will be back next week ! I highly recommend them.

Purchase mushroom pizza and calamari and was very disappointed. The calamari wasn’t fried crispy more soft and soggy. The pizza needed to be cooked more so the cheese wasn’t running. Thinking it was a real Italian in the kitchen so extremely disappointed.

First let me say the place was neat and clean. The service and the food however was terrible. 1) We showed the waitress our coupon 1st which had multiple offers. The one we wanted to use said 20% off entrees. 2) We ordered fried calamari appetizer and two small salads. The waitress asked if we wanted the salad with the calamari, we said yes. The salads came out when we were almost finished the calamari. 3) One of our party was torn between the eggplant rollatini and the chicken parm. Since he couldn’t decide which to get, he told the waitress he couldn’t decide between the two, and asked her to decide which one for him and surprise him. He was served shrimp oreganata, where did that come from? 4) My sister ordered cavatelli with broccoli. The broccoli was so overcooked it was mush. The sauce was very lemony, which is not customarily how that dish is prepared. 5) I ordered linguine with white clam sauce, they had no linguine but served it with, way too al dente fettuccine. The sauce was very lemony; I’ve never had this dish anywhere with lemon. 6) My husband ordered the chicken parm. The fresh sauce on the spaghetti was tasty, the chicken not so much. 7) When drinks were refilled, they filled my husband’s glass with my nephew’s beverage and vice versa. 8) We were staggered to see the bill was $ 80+ dollars for a local pizzeria. They didn’t take the discount off and seemed surprised when we mentioned the coupon. She took the bill back and credited us with the wrong coupon, ½ off one entrée. We asked about the 20% and they said it wouldn’t amount to as much of a discount, thinking the discount applied to only one entrée, even though the coupon clearly stated entrees. 8) The coupon also said«free cannoli for dessert», when we asked about it the waitress said we had to ask for it. She brought us each out a mini cannoli, which wasn’t a surprise since it was free. Although the staff was friendly and cheerful, they were clearly clueless. We will never go back again. It seems so many people rave about the pizza, but seeing what was sitting out waiting to be sold by the slice, I would never chance ordering it.

I’ve had it and food wasn’t good. I was very disappointed and the pizza was the worst I’ve ever had.

This place has upped their game. Pizza is the best around and food across the menu is terrific. Place is spotless and the staff is super friendly. You will not be disappointed.

Went to Fabios last night. We had the Brooklyn Pie — it was probably the best pizza we have ever had. It was recommended to us by our waitress and it was delicious. The sauce is light and flavorful and the crust is thin and crusty. It reminded us of the pizzelles we get a our local carnival every spring. The service was great — everyone was friendly and welcoming! So if you go to Fabios– get the Brooklyn Pie!

No complaints so far. We eat in and take out. We live 2 blocks away and Fabio’s is def our favorite local pizza now.

Owner/chef extremely rude and unprofessional. I asked for linguine with clam sauce and got fettuccine and when I sent it back the waitress came back and said it was their version of linguine. Sent back again and the owner came out and said pasta all tastes the same. Then why are there about 100 kinds of pasta. Why would I go back when there are 10 restaurants within a couple of miles of Fabio’s without obnoxious owners. I’m only giving it one star because you can’t give no stars.

The Brooklyn Pie was very good. The crust was excellent and the sauce, light and flavorful. The Cavatelli and Broccoli was good but it had lemon and I’m not a fan of lemon, otherwise the Cavatelli was cooked perfectly.

Good food. Need to have online order capabilities through Unilocal(Eat24) or Seamless.

Fabio’s is our go to local pizza restaurant. Our favorite is the brooklyn pie, a thinner version of a sicilian pie. While they have plenty of Italian food on the menu, we usually stick to pizza or hot subs. Nothing fancy here at Fabio’s. Just a really solid neighborhood pizza place.

Instead of ordering to go we stayed and ate at the restaurant this time. We ordered the Veal Parm and Chicken Parm subs as well as a cheese pizza for our kids. This is my favorite Italian restaurant in NJ by far! So glad I now know about Fabios! We will be back this summer(when in town for a visit) for sure!

Pizza was not good(half cheese/half pep = my basic test of quality), pasta was not good(my wife got chicken francaise and didn’t come close to finishing it).

Awesome patio, good pizza, reasonably priced, owner is really friendly, and great place to hang and BYOB. This place won my loyalty.

Consistently one of the better pizza places in the area. I’m giving it 3 stars unfortunately as I normally get pizza at places like Keste and Joe’s of Greenwich Village. That said, our family always gets our local pizza from here as the nearest very good pizza is over in Summit. A new brick oven pizza just opened up nearby and I hope they recover because even though that one is closer to me after trying it there is no way in hell I would not drive to Fabio’s to pick up their margarita style pizza. The other new place while fancy is basically fake. They are selling Neapolitan style pizza’s like Keste only they forgot that you need the oven to be going at 800 – 900 degrees to cook Neapolitan style pizza. In the meantime out of the area pizzerias I am sticking to Fabio’s.

Fabio’s is a regular stop for my husband when he gets off the train and he knows he may need to pick up dinner. He calls it in and it is ready when he gets there. It is also a lovely place to sit down and relax and have a casual and lovely dinner. The food is consistently good. On Mother’s Day, at the last minute, we needed to find a place for dinner and we went to Fabio’s. The service and the food was as wonderful as always. But to top our lovely meal off they gave us canolis on the house(and we think their canolis are the best around). They also gave the mom’s a lovely wrapped fresh carnation! It isa wonderful neighborhood bistro.
