Though port Jeff gives them a run for the smallest tasting room I’ve ever been in, the beer is anything but small when it comes to flavor. With such amazing brews as Y3(yada yada yada) brewed with snickers, you could practically chew when drinking, tribal cow packed with heavenly coconut and assault and fudgery(a new fave) you will never be let down by the awesome guys at barrage. The beer is like the answer to all my questions and desire for something different. The barley wine is crazy good and there’s seriously something for everyone. You’ve gotta go and find your fave, one of these beers are bound to blow you away. From their cream ale to their IPA, you cannot go wrong. This place unfortunately opened AFTER I left my old 7 year long job just across rt 110 so sadly I couldn’t sneak over for white castles and brews… But maybe that’s a good thing?

Three words: YADAYADAYADA Although this place has a small tasting room, their beer packs a big punch! When I last visited I think they had a bout 8 beers on tap ranging from IPA’s, to different kinds of stouts, to the famous Yada, Yada, Yada brown ale(6.8%). Do yourself a favor and try that beer! The milk stout, Tribal Cow, came in a close second being a creamy stout with hints of coconut. The brewers and staff are super nice and knowledgeable about what they’re making and what they’re serving up on tap so you are in good hands if you’re not sure what to order. I went with a flight to try a little bit of everything and ended up with a pint of the Tribal Cow(6.5% on their website, but I think it was 7% when I was there). We had taken the train in to the Farmingdale station and although it’s not on Main St, it was only $ 20 for an Über for 5 people. It’s worth it to not risk the drive!

Tiny little place. Very tiny. It is hidden behind what look like factories and the like. It’s the Barrage Brewing tasting room! I came here on Sunday afternoon and was able to get a 4-beer flight for only $ 4! Usually it is $ 6, it must have been happy hour. Their beer is quite good. I have had better, but they are all very flavorful and complex, which leaves me wanting more. I have wanted to come here for a long time since I live so close but haven’t been able to until now, and I’m glad I did. I will definitely be back, and I will get that coconut stout whenever I see it!

It’s a hidden gem! Loved all the beer, definitely some of the best beers I have had. The owner and his wife were very friendly and helpful. Wish we lived closer so we could make this a regular stop.

When offered a bottle, I’d always cross my arms, wrinkle my nose and mutter«I hate beer.» Slowly, I learned about the craft beer and homebrew movement that’s sweeping the US(and Long Island). I realized there was more to beer than what In Bev gobbles up and markets. I could confidently go to a bar and order something I would enjoy. Maybe just one glass, but I would drink it all with a big smile. Just don’t try to get me to like IPAs …(gag). Enter Barrage. A home-brewer’s dream realized. This place sprung up with sound ideas, passion and creativity. The brews are funky and aptly named. The storefront, which really is a random steel door in an industrial complex in Farmingdale is nondescript. If they didn’t have a small sign on the road it would feel a little speakeasyish. Last Saturday, the teeny tiny tasting room was packed to the brim, over flowing into the section where all the magic was happening in the steel containers. The staff were jovially describing the brew process with those brave enough to wander inside the laboratory of beer. The latest menu has beer that’ll make the ladies grin, and for $ 6 for 4 tastings, you really can’t go wrong. I expect the beers change fairly often as this(micro? nano?) brewery is starting to get a lot of attention. My two favorites were as follows: Tribal Cow — Dark and Stouty with a taste of coconut. Not quite over powering and oh, so creamy. This was a hit. Yadda Yadda Yadda — Tastes like snickers. We even saw a bag of snickers in the brew section of barrage. Coincidence? I think not. Bring on the sweet, baby. I filled a growler of this stuff for the party I was attending later in the evening. The famous last words will kick your but with an ABV over 10. Save that one for last, or perhaps drink it first. Absolutely gave me a buzzzz… Keep your eye on Barrage, I expect they’re going to be doing great things in the next couple of years.

Finally got more tribal cow. Friend of mine recommended Barrage and I came here to grab Tribal Cow(chocolate coconut beer) and Yada Yada Yada(Snickers beer) growlers for an upcoming trip. They went out so fast because my friends and I were in LOVE with those beers. After that I tried to come back multiple times, my fault, I got the times messed up that every time I came they closed. But finally yesterday I got another Tribal Cow growler and tried something new McLaughins Folly(Oatmeal Raisin Vanilla Stout). Definitely a great gem in Long Island. I expect nothing but the best for the owners!

Nice little beer tasting room and brewery. The cookie flavored beers were good! Kinda hidden in an industrial section but worth the hunt!

I finally got the chance to check out this brewery — known especially for its unique beer, Yada Yada Yada, which is made with Snickers. I went here for their one year anniversary party last weekend. The food was catered by Ciao Baby, and a few other businesses, but by the time I got there, the only food left was from Ciao Baby, so that’s all I remember! The beers here are fantastic, and will certainly keep this brewery in business. I was able to try Death Dealer on cask — twice — which made the visit worth it. I also recommend Yada Yada Yada and One Ryed Monkey. They have a good variety of beers for the craft beer newbie as well as the seasoned beer veterans. The brewery is small, but cozy, so I can’t wait to come here again on a regular business day.

8 beers on tap; A few IPA’s, a couple of stouts, some APA’s and Yada Yada Yada.(Don’t gloss over the Yada Yada Yada) We both started with a flight of four and were torn between the Necromancer IPA and the etc., etc., etc., — Both were so good! Naturally, I ordered Mike that one, and I had the other one! What a treat! Our hosts, Mr. Brewer and Mrs. Brewess, were exceptional company. They made our visit memorable and we can’t wait to go back for more! 5 stars!
