This place was down south a little shop with a bunch of cool high school looking kids making, and I kid you not, Masterpiece donuts. I mean like these donuts were the things that people take an entire life time to create. But, this place you walk in, order your donuts… And then have your life utterly changed by how good they are. I challenge you to go and not fall in love with this little shop. It’s a top 10 donut shop all NJ hands down.

I love doughnuts and am a big fan of doughnut plant in the city so my expectations are very high. I came for the Kronuts and they were delicious. They are made fresh when ordered. The only downside is if you bring them home they are a completely melted mess to eat. The chocolate is delicious, I ordered the cannoli and Boston crème Kronuts. I would stop by if in the area again!

Based on other reviews I was expecting much more. I was there at 11:15AM on Wednesday and no other customers in sight. I ordered the maple and bacon donut and a large coffee. I thought the donut completely lacked flavor and could not even tell it was maple flavored, The bacon was so mild it was hard to tell it was even bacon. What really ruined the experience was the luke warm self serve coffee. Maybe at peak hours the coffee is fresh, but what I had most likely was in the server for hours. With COFFEE in the name of the place you would expect a better brew. I have tried several of the other custom donut shops in the area and have been back to all of them. This however will be my first and last visit here.

I’m not a fan of donuts so when I first found this place decided to try it out Bc they also make cronuts. I’ve been here multiple times and it has been such a treat! Last time I went my brother let me try a bite of his donut to my surprise it was amazing. Not used to fresh donuts I guess haha. The topping and fillings feel endless and are so delicious. Yes the cronuts used to be bigger that’s the only complaint Bc I mean they are expensive. Other than that always had a good experience.

So delicious! We went in the morning around 9 am Saturday and the woman at the counter was super nice. After taking our order she tells us their donut machine is down. We say no problem we’ll come back. Fast forward 2 hours later, we go back, place a HUGE order of a variety of donuts. We got a little less than 3 dozen for around 30 dollars which is great. They came out warm! They make them to order! We ate the Asbury rainbow first which was phenomenal! We save the rest for later and as they cool they get an entemmans donut type texture. Meaning they aren’t super heavy or greasy. Other flavors we had were the French Toast which was my boyfriends favorite. Cookie monster, chocolate mousse and Blueberry coconut. Definitely worth the drive and I would 100 percent recommend this spot to anyone!

I bought a dozen kronuts for a party at work, they would have been good if they all weren’t RAW in the middle. They aren’t cheap to not be cooked all the way through.

the donuts here. are great. all of the food products here are excellent. the problem is it. takes a long time to get your order. I walked into this place at 7am and I am the only customer. I ordered a dozen donuts(kronuts are not available unless you call ahead)

What might be a tasty donut to some, is just a fried circle of dough to others. Could I be unimpressed because of my DD experiences? The service was good. The greeting was pleasant and the lady was very nice. But the donuts… First off, they’re small. Located near a traffic circle on the side of Rt. 33 with virtually no foot traffic, would it cost that much to make the donuts bigger? Is it the strategy that, if you make them small, you must buy more than one to get your fix? And that brings me to the cost: $ 3.50 for a kronut. $ 1.35 for an ordinary donut(actually not too expensive.) «Best donut ever!!!»? Me thinks those writers exclaim too much.

This place was dirty and unkept. Not to mention their overpriced tiny donuts. Service was below average as well. Not sure what the hype is all about…

This rating is strictly for their delicious donuts! The base of the donut is the plain donut and they carry their varieties from there, ie chocolate Oreo, lemon glaze, Boston crème, etc. Similar to a chain called duck donuts in middletown but they actually have varieties where they fill the center of the donut hole. The bar donuts themselves have good flavor and when you add the toppings it puts the donut over the top. As for their store front, it looks like a run down shack in a run down lot decorated sparingly inside with some classic looking diner signs. Don’t let the name of the business fool you. There aren’t much coffee going on here other than your regular and decaf. I didn’t order any because it seems like it is not an important part of their business. There’s more variety of cold beverages in their fridge than coffee. Can’t tell what makes them the coffee company! It’s cheaper to buy them in the ½ dozen, dozen or more. Take my word on it, the donuts are unique and delicious. If I’m in the area again, I’m sure i would stop in for at least a dozen. Great idea to bring in for a office breakfast or kids party.

the best donuts I have ever had. The staff is friendly and helpful. All the donuts are hand made as you wait. They run specials on groupon a lot.

One word: FANTASTIC! I went to this place because a) I’ve always wanted to try it and b) I got a groupon for two dozen donuts for $ 13.99 and I’m so glad I did. The donuts were different flavors I’ve never had before, not dry at all and not overly sweet. These donuts are made to order so you might have to wait for a bit. I waited about 10⁄15 minutes for mine. Staff was very pleasant and patient since it took me FOREVER to order two dozen donuts. It’s a cute shop, kind of small and has a couple of TVs so you could watch TV while waiting. 1000x better than Dunkin Donuts or any other donut shop I’ve tried. I will be back again and again!

Totally forgot to provide an updated review for DOCO; especially since DOCO decided to close their Shrewsbury branch a few months ago. Browsing my social media updates I saw that DOCO was offering an awesome buy a half dozen and get the second half dozen for free. Clearly this provided no excuses in not making the trip to pick up some doughnuts! Purchased the following doughnuts: 2 Plain: Plain nuff said. 2 Raspberry Jam: Very tasty; the jam was fresh and not too sweet and not artificial tasting 1 Butter Pecan Salted Toffee: Not bad. The salted toffee was the dominant flavor though as the butter pecan was pretty much muted. 1 Chocolate Peanut Butter: Enjoyed this one. Chocolate and Peanut Butter is always a solid pairing. 1 Cinnamon Sugar: A classic. Nothing exceptional though. 1 Funky Monkey: A bit messy as the nuts kept falling off. Sounded better than it tasted. 1 Jazzberry: Very delicious as the chocolate drizzle and sweet jam glaze was yummy. 1 Peanut Butter Chip: Tasty. Peanut butter flavor was strong! 1 Snow Drift: I’ve had better powdered doughnuts. 1 Strawberry Fields: I like the granola but the strawberry glaze was a tad too sweet.

This is where you go for an authentic donut not a mass produced watered down facsimile of a donut like DD. Ppl in our office go wild over these donuts and rightly so. Only complaint is not real easy to get to with location above circle, but that would never deter me from going. They serve a nice robust coffee too!

Not sure why the reviews are overwhelmingly positive for this place. Pretty disappointing experience. The curb appeal leaves a lot to be desired. Rusty shelving and water heater outside? Yep. Shack with dismal landscaping? Yep. Then the dirty inside. The floors had smooshed toppings all over it and tables were covered in sticky stuff. The employees looked unkempt and there was no smiling. I waited too long(15 mins) for two donuts(french toast donut and maple chocolate bacon donut) and was finally handed a box covered in sticky fingerprints and gobs of chocolate. It was as if two year olds made the contents. Donuts were hot and greasy. There was more glaze in the cupcake liner that the donut sat in than on the donut. The bacon was limp and unappetizing. The chocolate tasted like ice cream syrup from the grocery store. The french toast donut was decent and warranted the three star review. The inside and outside needs some serious attention. The way the employees present themselves needs serious attention. The toppings could be better quality and beg for more attention to detail. I won’t be back.

Let me start by saying I live right outside Washington DC and I make donut dashes every now and again to New Jersey to grab real donuts… DoCo is ALWAYS my first stop. Used to also go to Broad Street, but kept asking myself why when the better donuts were here?! The staff is friendly and helpful when you just can’t decide what you want in your dozen. Soooo… I highly recommend the maple bacon, raspberry glaze, the chocolate mousse if they have it that day… I’ve honestly not had a bad donut there AND they make them fresh, so they’re still hot when they hit the box! Saturday donut runs remind me of my childhood summers up at the shore. Love DoCo… Definitely my fave of all the donut places within an hour of there.

Far drive for me but so worth it! The kronuts are out of this world(and I’m not even into sweet foods). They have a wide selection of toppings– Boston cream, cinnamon sugar, cannoli cream, and honey glazed, maple bacon, chocolate bacon, stuffed French toast, and more. I purposely drive a bit out of my way to come here whenever I go to Philly.

They were good but not amazing like I was expecting to be very honest. I’m so sad because I thought they were going to look so beautiful but they look nothing like the pictures shown. The guy working there with the glasses didn’t seem to be very happy either :(a little disappointed.
