Georgio’s Coffee Roasters

They have decent coffee and their prices are very reasonable, but I am astonished that there is not a single mediocre review.
My own coffee experience was less than thrilling. My coffee was extremely bitter — not burnt, but bitter, there’s a difference. After getting half & half and going home to add about two ounces of milk myself, it remained very, very dark brown. The dark color alone should represent just how strong the coffee was. Now, I love strong coffee very much, but this coffee seemed stronger than the darkest of Starbucks roasts. Making a decent blend of strong coffee should be commended, but when that coffee is so strong that it makes the taste almost sharp or acidic, I can’t compliment the strength.
I absolutely respect the business, the owners, the coffee beans they use, their experience, etc. It’s just at the end of the day the coffee is what matters, and I would say it’s way too bitter.
Overall I wouldn’t not recommend this place, but I definitely don’t think it deserves so many ludicrously positive reviews.

Georgio’s coffee is unrivaled! He roasts every bean to perfection. He and Lydia are coffee geniuses. Once you try Georgio’s coffee, you will never want to drink anything else again. We are coffee snobs and enjoy finding independent coffee shops. Through all our travels, Georgio’s remains our favorite.

What a wonderful store! The smell of freshly roasted coffee beans is intoxicating. I only wish they carried more decaf options so that my husband can enjoy their varied selection as much as I do.

My first experience with Georgio was when I called to see what the latest roast was and ended up having a 15 minute conversation with the owner on my new coffee maker and what I should be using as a paper filter. Later on I realized that I had called on a day when they’re not even open. Mr and Mrs Georgio both have an excellent knowledge of coffees and machines. I ended up buying a couple of pounds of Brazil Especial 19 and Columbia Organic Reserva — freshly roasted and grounded on the spot — loved both of them.
You can get a specialty coffee and nibbles here but the real star is the roasted beans.

We went there yesterday after seeing a review in Newsday. We both had medium lattes, one with cinnamon and one with cocoa. Both were phenomenal cups of coffee. We were warmly welcomed by the owners, and we were given samples of the cold brewed coffee. It was incredible and it makes me yearn for summer. The shop looks like a laboratory, and they have a massive amount of variety. Great prices. Friendly and warm environment.

if there was a nomination for awards, this guy would receive the golden globe for his roasting knowledge, I was very fortunate to stumble upon this place by accident as I passed the area quite often I always glanced at their parking lot and noticed it was always full yet there were no other businesses that caught my eye in the strip mall so one day I decided to stop in and buy some coffee beans for my salon and the owner and his wife we’re so genuinely honest and welcoming it made me feel as if we knew one another. their knowledge of roasting as well as serving coffee is unsurpassed by anyone in their industry these people are leaders I wish them the greatest success and I will see them again on Sunday for my weekly pickup.
The most helpful advice that I have received from them is that light roasted coffee is much much stronger than your average cup of Joe and has more flavor so please stop in there and get yourself a cup of Joe to go, you will know if there is the head guy there if you see a little golden car in the front parking lot never do you walk in and the place is not swarming with true coffee connoisseurs dozens of burlap bags with fresh raw coffee beans waiting to be roasted by these experts.
Just like anything in life if you want something good you are going to have to pay for it this place is worth every dollar I don’t share this coffee with many people but when my great clients come see me I always offer them the most incredible cup of Joe that they have ever experienced

Without a doubt georgios hasl the best selection of fresh roasted coffee beans in the usa.
Just grind some at home and smell it it’s obvious. Better than intelligentsia better than counter culture.
And how he and his wife keep that level. of quality is by not selling out and going corporate where the high volume makes this quality level impossible.

Superior coffee shop! This guy knows his stuff! The most delicious coffee I have ever had! The stirrer stands straight up in the espresso! The Mocha coffee I had is made with real chocolate you can see it in the bottom of the cup! Amazing flavor! If you prefer iced coffee, he makes the ice cubes out of frozen coffee, so when it starts to melt it doesn’t dilute your coffee with water! Brilliant!

I blaming them for making Starbucks coffee tasting so bad. Starbucks can’t even make a decent cold brew!

Still the same 5 stars it got originally. I have become a regular here and can easily say the coffee is consistently amazing, if anything it keeps getting better. Our regulars are the cold brew, doppio (double shot of espresso with 1 sugar added), mocha, iced mocha, and the pour overs. Still the best cup of coffee I’ve ever had.

I’m glad I finally had a chance to stop here! I enjoyed my cold brew, especially with the added bonus of coffee ice cubes & liquid sugar. Great for a quick cup on the way to work. Stop drinking Dunkin Donuts and go see what coffee should taste like!

i can’t get enough of Georgio’s, i live in NJ and venture out East every week or two for work, boy am i a happy camper on days i know i will be visiting Georgio’s. They truly have a passion for coffee, they are always nice and prices are right. $ 2 for a medium, sure! Not that bitter Startbuck nonsense either, quality coffee! With each cup they usually tell you origin and type as well.
I can’t say enough about Georgio’s, try it for yourself.

Holy coffee!!! The smell and taste was unique and flawless. The lady’s accent made my visit more satisfying. She said the coffee brews for 18hrs (I don’t know what that means for the taste the coffee has but good job). family owned spot, I will be returning!
I had a macchiato and a cappuccino no sugar– very tasty!

Then, when you start talking to Georgio you get it. This guy is the real deal! He eats, sleeps, and breathes coffee! I mean, he really knows his stuff!

Georgio is really passionate about what he does and you can tell if you talk to him for a few minutes. My visit was a dual purpose, grab a bag of coffee for the office and an iced coffee to enjoy now.
Georgio helped me and a coworker pick out a coffee for the office. Even suggested a new coffee maker to make the coffee even better. I would normally think it was a sales pitch, but he doesn’t even sell the machine, he is just super passionate about coffee and wants everyone to have a great cup.
As far as my iced coffee, it was the best iced coffee I’ve ever had! I’m sure it has to do with how it was brewed plus the hand picked beans.
If you are a coffee fanatic I highly recommend going to see Georgio.

Another year, another amazing cup of Georgios coffee. As has always been the case the amazing service of Georgio and his lovely wife Lydia remain to be some of the best service I have ever had.
From cold brew to halogen syphon; everything is expertly prepared, paired most of the time with a funny story or humorous anecdote from the maestro himself, Georgio.
This place truly deserves its sparkling record, and to the lone negative review; I’m glad I wont potentially run into you there for fear your sour attitude would spread to the coffee.
