Mike’s Place

Best chicken in town! Absolutely love it here, super fresh and yummy! I’ve tried the chicken, mushroom, onion rings, and fries and have never been disappointed! Great food and great prices!

I went here for lunch the other day, I actually just picked it out of Unilocal as we were driving home from work, I’m so glad we stopped. When the sign says they specialize in chicken and seafood, they are not lying! I had the chicken plate, mounds of fresh fried chicken, great coating, fries were off the chart, and they bury a soft roll under all that food. My friend got the fried shrimp, wow! At least 35 shrimp in the basket with fries and the roll. It was more than I could eat. If you are ever in the Farmingdale, ME area or near, go to Mikes Place they will not let you down. Let me put it this way it’s 3 hours from my house and I was tempted to drive up there for dinner tonight. That’s how good it is. What are you reading this for, GO TO MIke’s Place. Bring real money no credit or debit accepted, ATM across the street at the gas station if you need money.

Sometimes you just wanna little snack of Seafood. Don’t expect it at Mikes Place! Even their ”snac” portion are a good size! With that said, too many french fries to make the portion appear larger than it is. And … the french fries are frozen, not homemade.
A message to Mike: Freshly made fries aren’t that difficult. Your meals need it and your customers would love it. If it’s the price, smaller portions of fries would be okay.
One other thing. Some of us like Cocktail Sauce with our seafood. Whatever that stuff is that you are using is NOT Cocktail Sauce. Waste of money on your part. Get something decent.

Didn’t even get to eat the food! Beware it is NOT apparent that they do not take credit cards at all until you get to the counter! The lady at the counter wasn’t very pleasant, and advised us that there was an ATM at the gas station across the street (across THREE LANES of traffic) at 5:30 on a Friday afternoon! At least Big G’s and Frosty’s have an arm inside their stores so that people who do not have cash on them can get it. I’m not sure I will going back any time soon.

Called. Didn’t even get to the restaurant before I was hit with awful customer service. Owner or manager was very rude on the phone. I’ll keep my business going to The Red Barn.

Looking for good lobster rolls and fried seafood? This is the place, hands down! The locals love it so you know it’s quality!

I went with my seven other family members. I for one didn’t like it. It was sort of like The Red Barn. Order food at a counter then go back up when your order is cooked. Small portions for a big price. I’d be happier at a fast food restaurant. At least at McDonald’s I can have free refills on my soda. My family member overall rated it 3.2 stars. And no milkshakes were on the menu like they have at The Red Barn. They started fifteen years ago and the service was friendly. But not good enough for more than three stars.

This is the best place for chicken and seafood. The food is great and blows Red Barn away. Great staff and clean.
