Rosemarie Pizza

I’ve been going here for awhile now but I must say I’ve had enough with the rude clerk. She’s an older woman who is either the manager or the owner. She never says thank you and always seems to have a bad attitude. I’ve made it a point lately when picking up take out to be very friendly and thank her but she never is friendly and never ever says thank you. It’s as if I’m inconveniencing her. Awful customer service. Gone are the days of being respectful and courteous to your customers.

Best pizza in town but inconsistent quality and service. This would apply to both pick up and delivery. I do not mind paying more for a quality product. However it should be ‘consistent’. In addition when I called to express my dissatisfaction for a meal I ordered. I was told that ‘they were busy tonight’ unexceptable. So I asked for a manager and the owner John was put on the phone. John told me that ‘next time I ordered, I should ask for him and that he would personally make my food. Well John that doesn’t help me and my family with our dried up Sunday dinner.
PS: ‘Next time” you get a complaint, ‘you’ should just start and end with a simple apology.

With almost a dozen Italian restaurants in the immediate vicinity It is really saying something that they have unquestionable the best Italian food in the area. seating divided into 2 areas about a dozen tables for 4 in front and larger area slightly fancier with a few larger tables.
I have been eating here for almost a decade now and have never had a bad meal. If food is more important to you than a fancy ambiance this is definitely the place to eat.

Would never order or eat there again. There was a worm in my food and the manager argued with me about it. Horrible experience and I was a regular customer.

Easily the finest Italian food to come out of a pizzeria I’ve experienced. Everything is always so consistent. The food is always fresh tasting and the service is great. They make the best chicken cutlet on the planet.

Will never eat there again. Food was horrible and the kids working the register are very rude. Rosemarys has come along way don’t bother eating here look around there is much better.

Food is pretty good but the prices are higher than better places and if you know and like good pizza this is not the place, the pizza is not good at all

Rosemarie’s is very close by and when we were searching for a pizza place we tried it… it was just ok… the portion sizes are a bit small for the price. We have not eaten there and only had takeout.

Went in there once a week for 10 yrs. Wanted to order ½doz zeppollis and the owner said that he only sells them by the dozen. REALLY??? How difficult would it have been to sell 6 instead of 12 to a loyal customer? I haven’t stepped a foot back in there since!

I live nearby but go elsewhere for our Pizza because I don’t like theirs.
Food is decent, if not too salty at times. Prices are a bit high for this expanded Pizzeria.
Much better food and value at other local Pizza restaurants in the area.

When it comes to the best regular pizza around, Rosemaries takes the cake. This should be a best of Long Island I swear by this place! All their restaurant food is damn good too.

Ordered a delivery yesterday. The guy on the phone quoted a 45 min delivery time and it showed up in 20 minutes which was awesome because I was starving! Salad was crisp and refreshing and the rice ball was HUGE and delicious. He even read back my order to me on the phone to make sure it was correct! Only critique, wish I had a side of sauce for the meat roll. I didn’t know that I had to ask for it but it was still tasty!

Rosemarie’s has been our go to local Italian takeout spot and occasional sit down dinner place for my family of 4 for years. The food is ok. The service is not so great.
We have had a few occasions in recent weeks that have made us start to look for a replacement.
A few weeks back we ordered for pickup a gluten free pizza along with a pie and a few other items. We get there and are told the gluten free pie was not cooked yet as they were unsure of what we wanted and did not call to check. So my 6 and 7 year old had to wait for 20 mins.
This week my husband was craving a breaded chicken cutlet with tomatoes, mayo and melted provolone. We place an order for delivery and I request this hero, they even called back and spoke to my husband. Nice that they called to confirm. The hero he got was not what was ordered. He received grilled chicken with ham, lettuce and tomatoe with dressing. So frustrating. Maybe we will try them again in a few years.

This place has been on a decline for quite some time. My most recent encounter will keep me away for good. There are other pizza places nearby where you can get better, fresher ingredients.

We used to eat here all the time, but they have changed and the quality of the pizza has went down hill.

Horrible pizza and garlic knots, don’t waste your $ 20. I have a family of 5 and more than half a pizza left and all the garlic knots. Yes it’s that bad! I can’t believe that it’s so hard to find a decent pizza to be delivered in the Farmingdale area. Half the pizza was burnt, so I called and they did deliver a new one, but it was still horrible. The dough was so thick, it was a regular pie not a Sicilian, the sauce tasted like it wasn’t cooked and the cheese was that cheap mozzarella. The garlic knots tasted like they were from last week and they reheated them. So do yourself a favor go to Dominoes or Papa John’s or even buy a frozen pizza because it will taste better than this pizza!

Visiting and in need of late night nourishment I took a chance on a new (to me) choice, Rosemarie’s. Happy to report the linguini with clam sauce was not only hot and delicious but the delivery was fast and kept in very presentable condition (see photo). The salad was cold and crispy. No need to look elsewhere if you are visiting in Farmingdale. Call these guys first. Recommended!

You get a salad, your choice of pasta & a dessert.
Get the vodka sauce with meat. Do it. Just do it. I promise you will like it.
My friend got the pesto pasta & loved it but I thought it was too salty.
Comes with a nice warm bread basket too. You will leave stuffed and your wallet will be happy.

Good pizza, decent chicken rolls.
I like the food, but the service can be spotty.
A good local Italian spot.

Disclaimer: I’m feeling guilty about being the first review for the restaurant side of Rose Maries and I don’t have many good things to say. The regulars we went to dinner with called it an off night. So hopefully next time we go I can update my review with some good news.
6:15 reservation and we sat right away. It seems like three men work here and share responsibilities of the bar and tables. And maybe even the cooking. It took a while to order, but I didn’t think too much about it since I had the delicious rolls to occupy me.
Dinner on the other hand took 55 minutes to arrive. At one point during the 55 minutes one of the waiters came over with some baked clams which I thought might have been a peace offering due to the longer than ok wait for our food. But turns out he was just at the wrong table. The most frustrating was that no one acknowledged the waiting situation. A quick ‘I’m so sorry, want some bread?’ would have gone a long way in my Unilocal book.
Also during this waiting, one of the waiters seemed to be sitting down to chat at one of the tables. I’m all about family time. But maybe if he had helped a bit more the night may have run a bit more smoothly. and timely.
Chicken Francesca and Chicken Supreme were both good choices. Though usually these dishes come with pasta that seemed to be forgotten. Also, the portion sizes were smaller than normal. Which hopefully is just another side effect of this off night. I had the broccoli rabe and sausage. Which would have been good if they had drained the pasta so it wasn’t all swimming in a sea of oil and water.
Disappointing dinner at Rose Maries. And it took 20 minutes to even get our check.

Every family has their own loyalty to a certain pizzeria. Rosemarie’s just happens to be ours.
The grandma style pizza, regular pies, and specialty slices/​pizzas are consistent and good. It may be a bit pricier than the other pizza places around (just a tad more), but the taste and texture is better. I also like the heros, spinach rolls, and garlic knots here too.
The place has been split into two sections: a casual order at the counter and seat yourself and the slightly more formal section, a side with waiter service & menu.
Since I’ve moved out of the state, I often order a pie and pack it up frozen back with me. That way I can still enjoy great pizza outside of NY.

Used to love this place, but recently they have changed for the worse. The pizza is different now and a couple of months ago I ordered a pie for delivery. After 44 mins. It didn’t come so I called and they told me it was on its way and it never showed up!!!
