Very fun deli that is very busy at lunch. Large interior with a huge menu on the wall with plenty of booths. They have great vegetarian and vegan selections. I had the Vegetarian Vegetable Delight sandwich and that wasn’t a particularly exciting choice but I don’t have any complaints. The portions are kind of small for the price($ 9, for what didn’t feel like a big sandwich) but it’s a good quality lunch. I’d be more full with a Subway foot long but the quality here is what makes it a place to go to. The staff is very friendly even when it is busy. Because it was busy it took a little longer for us to get our food but it’s still a place you could stop in and be done with lunch with in an hour.

In my contractual days here, this place was a godsend. Huge variety, lots of decently healthy choices and always accurate. The pickles do suck, the sandwiches are great and if you are at all under the weather the matzo ball soup will cure what ails you. Corned beef is tasty as are the rare roast beef and turkey. No matter what you choose to put these items on works, bread, wraps, etc. Always fresh. The lox is on the money, I’ll be honest though, lox will always make me happy. The Maggie’s berry and Greek lemon salads were go to hits, nice chicken in them. The tuna-tabbouleh concoction is as good as Nuri G says. I miss the turkey cashew salad sandwich too. None were cheap(its typical deli pricing) but they definitely serve solid portions, even for a hungry woman like me. Definitely worth a whirl. Not an authentic deli as Richard F pointed out so very well but it will do in a pinch. I’m not bothered by it a bit.

We enjoyed a delicious pastrami on rye(huge, so we split it) and chicken soup here. Our waitperson was friendly and thoroughly enjoyable; the dining area not so much, just because the restaurant/deli is also a retail food store selling shelf goods and gift baskets, so depending on where you’re sitting it can feel like you’re eating in a grocery store. We took home some tabouli and vegetarian chopped liver, the latter something new for both of us. We loved the tabouli, which was fresh, tangy and loaded with parsley; my partner liked the«liver,» but me not so much. We’d eat here again.

I had the #14 which is a warm corned beef sandwich with coleslaw, Swiss, and Russian dressing. One of the best deli sandwiches I have ever ate.

I love this place. When I was living in Mich, I would go there at least once a week since where I worked was 5 mins away. All their sandwiches are great from the corn beef to the wrap. I especially love the tuna w/tabouli wrap. There portions are big and the prices are pretty decent considering the size of the portion. Every time I visit family, this place is always on my to go place.

We just got this catered in for our lunch meeting — one word: excellent. The food is fresh, they have great customer service, and I couldn’t have asked for more variety considering all of the particular dining preferences our staff has. If you eat meat or are a vegetarian, they have plenty of options to choose from. We had a tray of mixed meat sandwiches and a veggie roll-up tray. I personally tried a chicken salad roll-up; it was fresh and had a lot of flavor. All 25 of us enjoyed the sandwiches we picked, as well as the Greek salad. We will definitely be ordering from here again!

Being a fish eating vegetarian, I’m not the one to go to for Deli advice. Yeah. the corned beef is… there? The shaved ham is… strangely erotic sounding? We went in on a Saturday after seeing their booth at a health expo for the Detroit International Marathon. It’s not that we were planning to go there, but it was on the way to Whole Foods… we pulled a total of three U-Turns to get to the right location. We went in and found the place virtually deserted — I think there were some big games that day, so everyone was out enjoying football. First thing I noticed is that the menu is *gigantic*. It’s several pages, and is one of the most varied deli menus I’ve ever seen. The wife and I decided on vegetable sandwiches of different sort(there are 10 or 15 of them) and asked the server(who was amazing) how the tuna salad was since the menu said it was world famous. The menu describes their tuna salad as «tuna tabbouleh» — the server said it’s non-fat mayo, tuna, tabbouleh, and capers(if I remember correctly) — We’re both extremely anti tuna salad that is full of mayo. The server offered to bring a taste of it to us! Moments later, we get a little cup full of this amazing tuna tabbouleh wonderness. It was jam packed with flavor, had a great texture, and was easily the best tuna salad I’d ever eaten. We quickly switched our order to #90, the Mona’s Magic. Our server said it was large enough to split with some fries, so we did exactly that. The sandwich was out of this world. The fries were perfectly crispy and piping hot. The food was out-of-this-world. The service was also so incredibly friendly. We were her only table, but she was chatty and friendly without being overbearing. Plus, any server who gives advice not to order more food just to jack up your bill is A+ in my book. A tuna sandwich, fries, and two waters came to roughly $ 10. I think I tipped 50% or so since the service was so great. TLDR: That’s your picky pescetarian’s take on what he thinks is the best Deli in the area. Drop me a note and let me know how the, uh, shaved ham is.

My father is a man who loves corn beef. When I am in the mood for it as well, I make sure to stop and get a couple sandwiches for myself and him from this location. They are ginormous, and usually last myself a day or two to finish them. The breads/rolls are delicious and fresh tasting. The pickles leave something to be desired, but that is just a bonus in my mind so its okay. The price is high for a sandwhich at first, but then when you see how much food you get, you know you have gotten a deal. I haven’t had a hankering for a corn beef sandwich in a while, but the last time I drove by I got a BOGO here from my mobibo app. This would be perfect for me. Actually… talking about this now I am starting to get that craving again… Well, now I know whats for dinner.

This used to be our favorite place but the last few visits I have been very disappointed. It looks old, worn and dirty. I got the $ 15 dinner special to go. Its supposed to come with a loaf of bread, a pound of cole slaw and a pound of corned beef. Well it ended up being $ 18.99 less than a pound of corned beef, less than a loaf of bread and less then a pound of coleslaw. My husband actually weighted it at home for fun. I was told the difference in the price as because I asked for lean corned beef. I asked for the $ 15 special and was asked which kind of corned beef I would like. the cost was not dicussed until I was at the register. The servers were slow and rude. I am going to Siegels from now on.

This is a wonderful full service deli… like you find in New York. The sandwiches are huge and made from fresh baked bread and topped with flavorful condiments. Alcohol is only available for take-out! Long lines at lunch hour. Try the Sicilian sandwich… it’s so good it brings tears to your eyes.

I work about 6 mins from here so it can be a usual spot when we all don’t want to brown bag it. Mind you I had Lap Band 2 years ago so i cannot eat the ginormous portions Vineyard’s offers so I always split my sammich with someone. ITSHUGE! It’s plenty for 2 people. A previous review stated the pickle tasted rotten and was not crisp. He is right I can say on every count we have gotten carry out from there the pickles leave much to be desired. But I can let that slide because of the sandwich-awesomeness! We recently had a holiday luncheon at my office and we chose Vineyards as our food of choice. For a lunch that consisted of 3 kinds of deli meat 2 kinds of bread 3 spreads, cole slaw and potato salad with olives peppers and pickles on the side all this fed 13 people and then some the next day. All for $ 165! NOTBAD for almost 2 days worth of lunch for the entire group! The service is always friendly and they have tons of other stuff in the store like gift baskets and all sorts of yummy imported treats. In the summer they have tables outside too but not such a great view looking out onto northwestern highway while sucking down a giant sandwich ahaha! But whatevs its yummy in my tummy!

This isn’t your Grandfather’s Deli. When it comes to sandwiches, particularly corned beef, no other deli is in this neighborhood deli’s neighborhood. I bought a sandwich last week loaded to the sky with lean turkey, cheese, thousand island dressing and cole-slaw on sourdough bread. Don’t ask me why cole-slaw on a healthy, non-reuben sandwhich works, it just does. The towering plate of food came with some chicken noodle soup and a pickle for $ 8.99. I was highly-dissapointed with the pickle, which tasted like it was rotten. It was not crispy at all. Still, the sandwich was so good, and filling, I didn’t eat again for about 12 hours. And I am a man that likes to eat. I don’t like spending $ 8.99 for a sandwich, but with the healthy portions, I can’t complain. I won’t eat here often because of my budget, but when I need a sandwich, Vineyards will be at the top of my list.

Love their wraps! I’ve had the Sal’s Secret the most and it is just way too good. It is a plain wrap with chicken breast, dijon honey mustard, muenster cheese, lettuce and tomato. Wow… what this place can do with chicken! Sooooo good. They also have a very good California’s Sunshine sandwich. It consists of turkey breast, artichoke hearts, lettuce, tomato, california olives, baby spinach & vinaigrette dressing on sourdough. They are a bit pricey… about 9 bucks per… but well worth it for a splurge at lunchtime!

Well, we went here on a Friday before they closed at 7PM. I guess we got there at around 6:15 or 6:30. It is a big deli with booths and tables and they have a very varied menu. On the wall is posted all their specialty sandwiches. You order at the counter and they bring your sandwiches out to you. I have eaten here before, but I have to admit, it has been a while. When you walk in, you see a big star of David on the wall and I when I saw this, it put me in the mood for classical NY style Jewish deli. So I looked at that imposing sandwich list and looked for a classic New York favorite, Corned Beef and Chopped Liver. But I couldn’t find it. The other local«Jewish style» delis in the area all offer this; the Stage, Steve’s, Embers, Bread Basket, etc. But the Vineyards didn’t seem to have it. They did have one big combo sandwich that contained Corned Beef and Vegetarian Chopped Liver, but when I saw it, I thought; «What the heck is that?» Vegetarian Chopped Liver? That is an oxymoron. It is kind of like ordering a Vegetarian Porterhouse. What is chopped liver supposed to be? As any kid from New York who has watched his grandmother make can tell you, it has to be made from Chicken Livers, pan sauteed with Schmaltz(rendered chicken fat) and pan browned fried onions. So I stood there pondering the concept of vegetarian chopped liver and I wondered what horrible blend of tofu, mushrooms or grains might be in the formula. After all, chopped liver should have liver, right? And if it is really vegetarian, it can’t even have the rendered chicken fat. For a brief moment I had the horrible thought that maybe they had made this stuff out of the livers of vegetarians, but as funny as that sounded, it wasn’t an appetizing thought. So I asked: the order taker: «I didn’t see it on the menu, but I wonder can you make me Corned Beef and Chopped Liver?» «Sure, we have that», they said, «but it has cole slaw and thousand island dressing too, do you want those?» My mind flashed to that big menu. That described the sandwich that contained the dreaded vegetarian chopped liver. My thoughts came to a screeching stop. «Wait a minute, is that the vegetarian chopped liver?» «Yes», she said. «It’s really good.» Well, I was willing to put up with cole slaw and thousand island dressing, but vegetarian chopped liver was out of the question for me. No thanks, I said. I’ll select something else. Now I come from New York. My idea of a great deli sandwich brings me back to my youth when I would go to these Glatt Kosher places with my grandparents in Brooklyn. These places served either milk dishes or meat dishes, but never both. So you couldn’t order a Reuben at a deli that served corned beef because the idea of melted Swiss cheese on a beef sandwich was just out of the question. I remember going a deli under the«EL»(elevated subway train) where they gave you a punch card when you walked in and you got it punched for each item you picked up at the counter and then paid by the number of punches when you left. And I used to go to the lower east side of NY to places like Shmulka Bernstein’s or Katz’s. A corned Beef and Chopped Liver was just standard fare at these places. So now I was looking at the menu at the Vineyards where there was a big Star of David on the wall, and almost every sandwich had some kind of cheese along with the meat. So is this a real Jewish deli? I think not. But the truth be told, neither are the Stage, Steve’s, the Embers, the Bread Basket or the other NY style delis in the area. They are all non-kosher places that serve«NY style» corned beef, pastrami, knishes and the like, but they are really nonsectarian. That said, none of these have the audacity to hang a huge star of David on the wall. So I wasn’t sure what warp of time and space I was in when I was offered vegetarian chopped liver at the Vineyards. I had to rethink the situation. So I picked another monster sandwich off the wall. I don’t remember the number or the catchy name, but it had corned beef, rare roast beef, turkey, several cheeses, Bermuda onions, nice fresh tomatoes and a spicy honey mustard. It was served on rye. Well it was great! It was a generous sandwich and it was properly put together. The ingredients were in balance and it tasted really good. So how should I summarize the Vineyards? NY Jewish Deli as advertised? NO. Great sandwiches? YES. I like Vineyards and I will go back. I wish they had chopped liver though…
