Simply put this is the best food I’ve had in all of Missouri! Well done, 12 West!!! The Pan Filet was perfect, and I do mean PERFECT! I’ve eaten at many Prime steakhouses around the country and this is absolutely on par with all of them! No lie, if you doubt me, please come try it for yourself. If you like cheese and mushrooms, try the Mushroom appetizer. Also delicious. My only word of caution… the local Hail Mary IPA isn’t a true IPA. It’s a hopped Belgium Trappist. As a fan of IPAs I was a little taken aback at first, but to the credit of the beer it pairs nicely with the beef dishes.

Have came here many times for various special occasions but would not recommend as a go-to place. While it does have excellent décor and a great location the service I have had has rarely ever been good. The servers rarely check on you. Also the food for the quality you get is not worth what you pay.

We heard about this place from friends and decided to take the 75 mile drive this afternoon to check it out. We were pleased with our findings. First, 12 is very friendly old downtown charm. It is an older building that is very much up to date inside. The staff was friendly and slowly attentive. Our meal was nearly 2 hours which was fine this evening but could be an issue if you are on a tighter schedule. We did call ahead for reservations and they had our table waiting for us. All of the food very very good. Fried green tomatoes, Bourbon glaze pork chops, jalapeño burger, stuffed chicken were all nicely cooked and plated. Potato soup had good flavor and was served steaming hot, but was just a bit grainy. The banana gooey butter cake that my wife and I shared, was large enough for the whole table of four. Overall, it was a very good experience and worth the drive.

Great Sunday Lunch! I really enjoyed the seasonal Butternut Squash Ravioli with candied walnuts and sage. My husband got The Stack and it was wonderfully cooked(medium as requested). The potato soup was also perfect. Thanks for a great meal!

Food is first rate, service is fantastic. Don’t trust any bad reviews you read. People in this area who love GOOD food eat at 12 West.

Waited for 30 minutes for our drinks. Waited over an hour and never received food. We left and could not find anyone to tell about our disappointment.

Food was good, strawberry spinach salad pretty standard with sweet poppyseed dressing. The chicken salad sandwich was a little dry, I ordered it on wheat bread instead of the croissant, they buttered and toasted the bread-it was a little weird with too much butter.(I know-you can never have too much butter, just a little weird with that chicken salad) Chicken wings with the hotter sauce were very good! Service was fine-fast and friendly. Would probably be a 4 – 5 star review… However, should have read more Unilocal reviews before coming. Smoking even at lunch was bad. I think there was only 1 person in the bar area smoking, but the smoke drifted through the entire restaurant.(No filter at all) I really wonder what the management/owners are thinking. Make it no smoking! Or at the very least make it non-smoking through lunch and early dinner-and allow it when the bar crowd becomes the majority– like after 8 or 9:00 pm or something. Allowing 1 person to smoke in the bar impacting an almost full restaurant of lunch patrons in the non-smoking section makes no sense. Won’t be back until it’s non-smoking.

Had dinner here last night. I ordered the Plank Salmon with baby greens(green beans) and a side salad along with a Basil Hayden bourbon. The food and bourbon were great! The service from the bartender was great! The guy at the end of the bar(possibly owner) smoking was not great. I’ve gotten so used to being able to enjoy my meals without smelling smoke that I didn’t even think to sit or even dine elsewhere.

Nice atmosphere & the food is outside of the box which is always a plus for me! Try the Baked Brie or the Grilled Cheese Bites.

We have travel all over the country and there are only a few restaurants that have a found memory. This is one of those places. The menu is well crafted, the food presentation is well plan and fun. The food is incredible. The waiter was fun, knowledgeable, accommodating, and on point with his timing. The interior is well thought out, unique, a space for every mood! Can’t wait to go back!

The best place for a cocktail and dinner in Farmington. Live music, great menu, and a lively bar. Really appreciate this restaurant and love its offerings. Patio is great too!

I wasn’t expecting that!!! I travel for a living and rely on dinner suggestions from the hotels and normally the food is just okay. Tonight I was blown away by how good the food was. I highly suggest eating here!

Went to 12 West Bar & Grill on Valentines Day with the wife, and was very pleased with the overall experience. The atmosphere is rustic with an elegant décor. Since it was Valentines Day, they had a special menu, but the selections were still wide and varied. We had the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer which were included a mix of bacon, cheddar and cream cheese. I could have ate those all day. For the main course, I had the sea bass and the wife had the filet. They were both excellently prepared and very flavorful. We then had the bread pudding for dessert, which had a bourbon glaze with currants. It was awesome. The service was spot on and friendly I will be back!

At first glance, the menu reflects five star restaurant quality and offerings. However, I ordered the Shrimp and Polenta to go due to the overwhelming cigarette smoke, even in the non-smoking section. I still can’t believe Missouri allows smoking in restaurants! Families with infants were inside the restaurant and the children were coughing! I can’t understand this concept of forcing infants to take in second-hand smoke! Could easily be five stars but any establishment that allows smoking will never get that rating from me. I don’t care if Guy Fierrie owned it. I would write more but what’s the point?

Let me start with my ONLY complaint– …smoke. I can’t stand cigarette smoke and it drifted from the entry/bar area into the dining room.(You enter the front door and then a hostess will guide you past the bar into the dining area.) I sure wish that they had an air filter or something to divert the smoke. However– the food was so good that I would not let the smoke deter me from returning to this restaurant. I ate a linguini with roasted chicken wild mushroom Alfredo. Oh my. This was so good. The Alfredo was absolutely perfect texture and flavor. Salad with the house dressing– delicious. The best part was.. Gooey Butter Cake. You would not believe how good that this cake is! ! I will be going back to get a piece before I fly home. So, I will try to remember to post a picture. Make sure that you try it!

Horrible service for the price. I’ve been treated better at fast food restaurants. Only ordered apps and drinks but always had to be the one to ask for something with no initiative on there part. Their beer taps certainly weren’t anything special either with a whopping 6 with only 3 of them ever being swapped out.

Like much of Missouri, the best parts of Farmington are a thing of the past, and the local population has regressed into fast-food eating yokels. However 12 West still stands as probably the only real restaurant in town. They offer a limited menu, but the quality is ok, better than anywhere else around, and the atmosphere leans more to classy/casual than it does to cheap and unsophisticated. There is not much in the way of vegetarian options, but you can piece something together with a salad and some sides, but all the dish items have a choice of meat as the main attraction. The staff are nice, but parking is tough with its shared lot. My grandfather likes this restaurant, so I brought him there on my last visit. But the lot was full from other businesses, so we had to find street parking. He has trouble getting around so that was a bit inconvenient. Over all we enjoyed our meals and the general experience. I would like to see the business take ownership of their Unilocal page and update it with a full menu, prices, and photos, as well as an «about us» section.

12 West has updated their menu since my last review and the food is much better. This is without a doubt the«fanciest» restaurant in Farmington. They have a great lunch menu and their staff is friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a stop when in Farmington.

Swung by here for lunch on a recent work trip and was pleasantly surprised with the entire experience. Had a nice looking menu(lunch and dinner) to dive into. Good local beer on tap that I was unfamiliar with. Had the tasty meatball sub to eat alongside a nice helping of properly cooked fries. I can see this as a place to frequent when I return.
