Steak ‘n Shake

Consistently long wait time for food, incorrect food and excuses when I bring it to their attention. I spend hundreds of dollars per month there and still always get wrong food or incomplete orders.

I would give 0 stars if I could, I spent over twenty minutes waiting on two shakes and couldn’t get any help from the «manager» because they were too busy chatting with off the clock employees who were there hanging out. Absolutely the worst Steak ‘n Shake I’ve ever been to.

I have came to this place for years, however, this last year has been so horrible, I will never eat here ever again. Each time I sit down its too hard to even get the drink order in let alone have someone to come up to seat you. If I’m lucky, the food I order will come out 20 to 30 minutes later and how I actally ordered it. They’ve gotten my order wrong 3 times by now. Today my boyfriend and I were sat down by our waitress and she took off without getting the drink order again, so I went to use the restroom. Steak N Shake’s bathroom has always been discussing, so I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised to find the bathroom smelling awful and pee all over the floor that had been there long enough to dry with toilet paper stuck to the floor. After I came back to the table, we watched two tables fill next to us and both separately have they’re drink order taken, then served, then put the food order in, meanwhile we’ve still been sitting 20 minutes without a check in or drinks from our waitress. The manager placed silverware at our table while my boyfriend sat and neither she, or the other 4 waitresses hovering in our area bothered to ask if we needed anything. We left after another ten mintues. We’re tired of being disappointed here and choose to take our business anywhere else. I’m only rating this a 1 star because I HAVE to choose a rating and zero stars isn’t an optin.

I am hard pressed to even leave one star! We sat at the counter because we wanted to personally see why our food was always cold. We watched as the burgers sat for over 6 minutes after being cooked. Then we watched as the cooks scrapped grease and dead flies from the exhaust hood on to the grill! WTF? We ran out of the place and went to Culver’s. I just have one question, where the hell is the board of health???

This Steak ‘n Shake location is one of the better ones in the chain. It is very clean inside. My food usually is done well and I don’t think my order has ever been wrong. I will say however they are very stingy on condiments. I think Steak ‘n Shake as a whole company is overpriced for what you get. They advertise these cheap meals but what they don’t want customers to catch onto is that the meals are very small.

As far as a burger joint is concerned this place’s burgers drinks and shakes rock, I see a few bad reviews on here about the service but the day we went nothing bad happened everyone was quite nice the place was clean and moving, my burger came out looking nice and our wait time was on point as well. My only problem was that my burger disappeared too fast because it was so delicious! I’m not expecting a great deal from a little place like this but nothing was out of the ordinary or the reasonable and thus the food and service combined are a solid 4 each. I’ve had better burgers but this is still a dang tasty burger joint. I’d love to see one in L.A. too… But one can only dream.

The service was terrible. We were waited in by & manager & the service was still terrible! I personally like the Steak & shake chain, but this location needs a lot of work. Not impressed.

There are always little things that happen or go wrong when we visit this steak and shake but today was so bad from the time we walked in we ended up leaving. We walk in and there is a big crowd, it is right at lunch time, the people in front of us are seated leaving only my family of 4. The hostess puts our name on a list and tells us it will be a few minutes. My boys and I go use the restroom leaving my husband to wait. The restrooms are filthy and just about make me lose my appetite. I come back out and my husband is still sitting there waiting and a few more people have come in. I walk up just in time to hear the hostess tell two gentlemen that were getting ready to sit at the bar that a table was going to be ready in just a second. She proceeds to seat them at a booth for 4! She comes back and yells to the crowd, who’s next? My husband and I jump in and say we have been waiting and told her that she seated them instead of us, she says well that’s ok, there is another table being cleaned now. She takes us to a table for 3!!! I was so mad I said we are leaving. I go to the manager and tell him what happened and he just said OK. No sorry or anything, just OK. Just shows their value on customer service. Apparently I can’t give them no stars so I had to give them one.

Every time I go to steak n shake in farmington I have a problem with the burger. Today was no different.
