The Tavern Bar

During lunchtime, Tavern Bar is a great place to grab a bite at Nemacolin. It’s a very casual restaurant and has typical bar/​tavern/​pub food. I ended up getting a beer and a veggie burger. The Veggie burger was really great and tasted fresh. Not sure if they make the patties on site but you can see the veggies that comprise the burger. Fries were really crispy and tasty. They have a relatively small beer list but you should be able to find something interesting. If I even come back to Nemacolin, I would definitely come back and grab another meal here.

In desperate need of nourishment after sporting clay we stopped in at Nemicolin in search of food. We found this place. There’s nothing particularly note worthy about this restaurant other then the huge fish tank. We were fortunate enough to be dinning at feeding time and were seated right I front of the tank. Which was great to watch.
Service here I felt was lacking for being at such and expensive resort. Drinks sat empty for quite some time. The food was ok. My fruit definitely could have been fresher. The sandwich was good. I think I was so hungry I honestly didn’t pay that much attention to it. I definitely want to come back to the resort itself and try other restaurant. As for trying this particular restaurant again I think I’ll pass. Unless I’m as hungry as I was the first time.

The tavern has OK bar food. It’s casual compared to the rest of the restaurants at Nemacolin. Large room in the back with pool tables. Only 5 – 6 beers on tap but decent bottle selection. Large aquarium at the entrance that is gorgeous. Really like the chili and fries. Burgers are good. The cheeseburger nachos are ridiculous junk food. Great service just like everywhere else at Nemacolin.

Nothing special. Pub fare with a nicer twist. However, it’s the nicer of the casual places on the Nemacolin property, so it’s where all the families go when they don’t want to spent a ton at the fancier places. If you’re into burgers, they have some nice choices. Our waitress didn’t know much about the menu, so don’t go expecting great service. Plus, they put us out in the open area by the huge fish tank (where screaming kids congregate), because our kids weren’t 21 (enough to be in the pub area).

Love the buffalo chicken dip with the pretzels! Fun atmosphere and staff. It’s nice that you can order food late while the bar is still open.

Not a bad place to grab some pub food, especially for lunch or late night. That was very refreshing, that the grill was open later… we were able to grab dinner at 9:30 on a Sunday night when almost everything else in the surrounding area was closed. Service wasn’t bad, and neither was the beer selection. The chili was solid, as was the buffalo burger that I had. Wasn’t the best ever… but both were delish in a pinch. The buffalo chicken dip was more buff chix sauce… or soup. But, even with that being said, the warm pretzel sticks paired with the sauce was amazing, a perfect appetizer. Side salad hit the spot, very fresh and paired with a warm cranberry vinegrette it was something that will be a repeat order. The menu wasn’t that large, but maybe that is a damn good thing. With just a little fine tuning, I think their 4 star menu and review can easily be bumped to 5. OHHHHHH, and they had a MAGNIFICENT pool hall connected to this bar, I can’t believe I almost forgot to mention that!!!

Great spot to grab lunch. Everything on the table was great from the squash bisque to the turkey sandwich to the sweet potato chips and the chili was just okay. Service was slow. I agree with the previous Unilocaler. Good beer selection. Prices were very fair. I thought they would have been higher because of the resort but they werent. Lunch for 4 with beers… $ 60.

Very slow service, 45 min wait for a burger. Burger was decent, but service was poor. It wasn’t even crowded.
