My husband and I frequently come here whenever we have a Chinese craving. We love everything we’ve tried and make sure we come at least once every couple of months. My favorite thing is their egg drop soup, and my husband loves the Szechuan chicken. I honestly don’t understand bad reviews of this place. I’ll take this place over any huge generic Chinese buffett any day.

I have done over 60 restaurant Unilocal reviews and never given a one star rating. Well there’s always a first time. Tasteless, flavorless food. Hospital cafeteria food would be a significant improvement over this restaurant. Hands down worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten. My wife was also unimpressed with her food. Wonton soup was basically water. Beef and broccoli awful. My wife’s garlic chicken, she maybe consumed half of it. Fried rice pretty much same theme tasteless. Egg roll soaked with grease, not edible. I had a peanut butter and jelly pocket the other day in a high school cafeteria which was much better than this Chinese food. Why doesn’t the chef taste what he’s cooking from time to time?

I ordered the Hot & Sour Soup and Chicken Egg Fu Yong. It’s been a couple of years since I had it there, but it was much better in the past. The Hot & Sour Soup was very thin like chicken broth, not a lot of flavor, seemed to be missing tofu, cornstarch to thicken, very little protein(pork?), almost no bamboo shoots, don’t think they were Shitake mushrooms, don’t think there was Chili Oil or Black Chinese Vinegar(not very sour). I’m shocked with some of the reviews of how great the Hot & Sour Soup is there. Either they are very inconsistent on following recipe or the reviewer’s are friends or don’t know what great Hot & Sour Soup tastes like(P F Chang’s is the standard to go by). The Egg Fu Yong was okay but not a WOW like it used to be. The Egg pancake was not crispy and the brown sauce didn’t have the flavor that it used to. The original sauce was a lighter brown, almost golden. I added Ponzu which helped.

Over priced and terrible food. Worst service I’ve ever experienced. Dirty restaurant. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Overpriced food here. We ordered the fish and pork, both of them have such little stuff in it… I dont know if it is because we used the coupons… Dishes are cooked greasily and so sweet… Look at the fish, cannot believe that a few pieces of fish will cost $ 10.95?!Well, I wont come here again.

This place has some of the most delicious Chinese-American food in Knoxville, hands down. I tried the General Tso’s chicken, Mongolian chicken, Pork lo mein, Singapore style fried noodles, Fried dumplings, and crab rangoon. I always order Chinese food to-go for some reason, and this establishment now has a drive-thru window for call-ahead orders! Let’s start with the Mongolian Chicken. This is by far the best mongolian chicken I have ever tried. The dish comes with tender chicken, onions, green onions, sauce, and is served over fried rice sticks. Since I generally order this dish to go, the rice sticks are at the bottom and end up becoming my very own«noodle surprise». This is seriously delicious. The pork lo mein is some of the best I have tasted. The pork is always tender and has a great flavor. The dish is always juicy and is always a great choice. The general tso’s chicken is amazing. It has always been one of my favorite dishes, but the other places usually over cook the chicken until it is hard and crunchy. The dish here is tender, juicy, and the sauce tastes great. I knew everything on their menu is fantastic, but this one really surprised me. The Singapore style fried noodles is fantastic. The chicken is tender and the noodles have a delicious flavor. This dish will not disappoint! The Crab rangoon and dumplings are also great appetizers. I am always very happy with these selections. The staff are very courteous. There have been two times I arrived before the food was ready, and was given free tea while I waited! :) Great service!

Love China Pearl. Love the Hot and Sour Soup and love our server, Lily!!! Our food is always served hot and fresh and always good. My family comes from johnson city to eat here. Great portions! Can’t say enough good things. Check out the school coupon book for a coupon and try it out! You will return over and over! Ask for Lily or Matt to serve you!

Very unimpressed. When we went in we got seated and drink orders brought quickly. Our food was tasty, however, I took ½ of mine to work because it was too much. It was not very hot either. I was not impressed with the sticky floors and table was a bit sticky. I did not finish my leftovers due to having a stomach ache and some diarrhea soon after we left the restaurant. I have had better Chinese than this. I would not return.
