The service was outstanding, honestly, every person we encountered on the way to and from the table said hi and how are you. The food was OK. I had the mushroom soup. It was warm but not hot, very flavorful and way too spicy. When I can see chunks of red pepper flakes, it’s hot!!! Overall good experience, and would go back to try breakfast. I love good customer service also.

The Egg and I is a great small breakfast/small plate lunch restaurant in the shopping center close to Costco. It is a nice sit down breakfast restaurant that is laid back and accommodates children very well. My kids had some great coloring sheets to work on while we waited on our food. The have a couple selections of coffee which is nice. I just went with the regular coffee, which was not much to write home about. I had the Denver omelet which was way more than I could eat with an english muffin. My son had a pancake which they make to look like Mickey and he really got a kick out of that, complete with eyes and a nose. We have been here 2x for breakfast and I will definitely come back. I really like that it is not too busy in the mornings, and that we can get in and out.

Don’t understand why they can’t seat people when there are empty tables. Sunday morning we had to wait 15 minutes to be seated at a table that was empty from the moment we checked in. We were told that it was so that the kitchen and wait staff could catch up with the volume. Maybe they should hire more staff during busy times.

I would recommend this restaurant and staff Was awesome. We have eggs, bacon, French toast and large orange juice. Their wheat bread is very tasty, to the point we bought a loaf to take back to Indaina if it lasts.

Food is bland and totally overpriced for the quality of the food. hollandaise had no flavor. better off going to ihop or waffle house. they use salt

Ordered the breakfast sandwich on croissant but it was pretty bland. Service was excellent and the server was very friendly and nice, but the food for me was a little lackluster. Also, their sizing of a large orange is just a regular small-ish glass. I was expecting the large orange juice menu item to have a better serving size.

They have interesting items on the menu, like crab cake hollandaise, but it’s basically Denny’s quality food with a mash up of French and country décor. Also, the service was mediocre. The server gave us the bare minimum amount of attention to get our order and get the food out in a reasonable amount of time, but never smiled, and when the food came it was lukewarm.

The food was good. The service was excellent. Our server was Billee. Restrooms were spotless. And there was no wait. The manager apologized they were out of an side I ordered and replaced it with something better. This was my first visit but not my last.

Came in this morning for breakfast, as I sometimes do and was greeted and sat immediately. Tiffany, my server, was FANTASTIC and even guided me to the Turkey Apple croissant… which was AWESOME! Love this place for good food, great service at a fair price.

I wanted something different than fast food from McD’s or Waffle House, so I figured I would give this place a try. It look like they have been able to turn themselves around from the earlier reviews. The wait staff was prompt and courteous. I was seated right away and my order was taken within a few minutes. The delivery of the food didn’t take long either and it takes great. I had gotten their Persian Benedict with fresh fruit. The atmosphere was quite pleasant and the waitress continued to come back to my table every now and then to to see if I needed anything else. Since I was by myself I was seated at one of the smaller booths, which was fine by me, I don’t take up much room. It did give me clear view of the entrance. as I watched, at one point about five groups of people entered waiting to be seated. They were all taken care of inside of a minute.

I am not a picky breakfast eater– at all. Toast with butter, warm coffee, maybe a piece of bacon(even burnt) and I’m happy. This place? Total let down. I visited The Egg & I today with friends and the disappointments began as soon as I walked in. I waited, and waited and waited to be approached to be sat down. No one was at the hostess booth, and the check out guy made zero attempt to find anyone as he hung out and waited on patrons to pay their bill. When I was greeted, I again had to wait for them to clean off the tables– the place was *maybe* ¼ full, but every empty table was dirty. Finally sat down, and began browsing the menu. It’s freezing outside, and hot chocolate sounded good, but I am not a peppermint fan so I inquired about the other flavors they offered– like the menu says(see my tips and photos) and the waitress had no clue what I was talking about, and then returned to tell me they don’t have any other flavors. Awesome. But I ordered the peppermint one anyway and it was alright. I also ordered an orange juice. Their«large» is equivalent to IHOPS kids size drink(that is normally free with meal) and it’s $ 2.99 per glass. I didn’t realize this, until I had to hunt our waitress down for a refill, and then saw the total on my bill at the end of the meal. $ 6 for OJ? Complete rip off. The food came, and the presentation was THERE. It was beautiful. But, the taste was nowhere to be found. I ordered Eggs Benedict, and they were over cooked, flavorless, and the hollandaise sauce barely coated the top– I had to request more to even taste it. My friends ordered an omelette(which she had to request salsa because there was no flavor) and the apple chicken sausage egg bake, which she said was alright. I had high hopes of this place, but sadly was let down by this experience. Un-boomarking and won’t be returning…

Where do I start, ok at the beginning, the Server was very inattentive, in fact he seemed to act as if we were bothering him by being there. He mumbled when he spoke, made no eye contact with anyone as we ordered. Our drinks finally arrived but they did forget my wife’s cup, we had to get another server to get one — he never showed back up until the food was coming. The food did arrive after I had to go and ask if there was a problem, of course our server did show up to say«perfect timing», the order was wrong… Then as we settled in to eat our meals, the server never came back and asked if we needed anything, you guessed it — I had to go find another server to get an item that was left off of our Grandsons meal — syrup for pancakes. No big thing except its a 5 yr old that is having a blast with his Grandparents and he was truly hungry… When checking out I was asked«was everything ok» the food was fine, the service was terrible”, a blank stare and a hurried sense to get my monies and get me out of there… Will we go back, doubt it, will we advise any of our friends and family to try this place out, most likely not, Try at your own risk…

Food was excellent. I ate WAY too much. Normally this would be 2 meals worth of food for me, but I cleared my plate today. I love having green chile and avocado on my eggs so I was a very happy eater! This is a Colorado-started chain so the menu features a lot of Colorado and Southwestern breakfast-fare: Denver omelets, huevos rancheros, tortillas and the aforementioned green chile. I like a spicy wake-up and when I travel to Colorado I seek out this type of meal. Glad to have an Egg & I in my «backyard.» If you don’t like spicy food they do have an assortment of non-spicy Benedict’s, omelets, and waffles as well. Décor is like every Egg & I– with slightly fewer chicken tchotchkes than what I’m used to. Our server Billy was very friendly and we were seated almost immediately at 9:30 on a Saturday. And I liked having a carafe of coffee on my table to do my own warm-ups. The only thing I would request(and it’s not worth taking a star off) is Cholula hot sauce. The Egg & I sauce is good– spicy and American made– but I prefer the flavor of Cholula.

I really enjoy The Egg and I. Unlike some reviewers, I’ve never had any problems with the service. The food is delicious, but I’m a true egg-lover. The Tex-Mex egg dishes are very tasty, especially with their house hot sauce. Yummy! My hubs is a big fan of the skillets. The Cambridge is his favorite, eggs over easy. My son hates eggs, but there are other choices for him. The coffee is very good, too. If they are on a wait, they usually have free coffee for you to enjoy until your table is ready. I’d say give it a try, especially if you’re like me and believe that breakfast should be served past ten o’clock.

Came today for a lunch meeting and celebration with my staff. We had a bit of a edit before our server surfaced from the kitchen area. I suppose she was on break. She took our drink orders and brought extra carafes of tea for us. Unfortunately the restaurant AC was not working up to par so the little bit of ice in our glasses quickly melted. We ordered. I had the half sandwich and salad combo. My salad was a Cobb salad with Bleu Cheese dressing on the side. I received a watered down ranch dressing and a small ramekin of Bleu cheese chunks. I guess«mix your own»? My sandwich was good. Too light on the sauce. Bottom bread slice was soggy. All the meat was on one half of the half sandwich. So wierd !!! One of my staff asked for the turkey croissant. It was to have a variety of things on it but they seemed to forget the things and she was left with a stake croissant and turkey without any apple butter. My other staff, her meal came out in three parts because the kitchen kept screwing up. I would suggest going to the First Watch Café about Two miles up the road. WAYZBETTER!

Greek frittata was good, nice pesto on top, potatoes ok but nothing to write home about. Service, coffee, and surroundings all were excellent. One nice feature is a meeting room for large groups. Worth a try.

Second weekend since opening and fie me very good service and friendly people. Great décor fir this breakfast/brunch place. Arrived around 11:15am, stated a 30 minutes wait but was seated in 20 minutes. Coffee while you wait for your table. Ordered pancake, eggs and bacon. All was good and arrive at the table in about 20 minutes. Only negative is the very small waiting area when you walk in. About 20 people waiting for a table but only a seat for 4 people inside, the rest waited outside. Lobby has cash out area and checkin area where they should be seats. Patio area will open soon and might be used for checkin area. Overall, very nice new place and will return. Located in the Costco parking area in a new building off Lovell rd.
