My mother lives in Fayetteville, so when I come to visit, she likes to take me to new places around town that she has discovered. The restaurant has taken over a location that was an old sorority house — now a restaurant. We arrived for breakfast and that was a good idea. The business appears to be family owned, so it has the«Mom & Pop» charm and that is enjoyable, but with that you have to have the expectation that service will be a little slow — which it was. I had the grits, eggs and bacon. It was definitely as if you were eating from someone’s kitchen. The meal was enjoyable and I would return to try other items.

The Chili Cheese Fries are the absolute BEST! Cake is delicious. Best cake I’ve ever eaten. Every time I’m in Fayetteville, I make a stop to the Amazing Lemonade Eatery.

This little locally owned eatery has good food and amazing lemonade! Honestly, just driving by, I would have not ventured in here, but a local told me about it so of course I had to check it out. The restaurant is literally in an old house that has been converted to a restaurant. They are slow because I think there are only 2 people working here… but if you don’t mind a bit of a wait, it is a good alternative to fast food or chain restaurants. On my first visit, I got the house lemonade(again, a tip from a local) and it was delish… fruity with strawberries & not sure what else. For lunch I ordered the barbecue chicken sandwich with Mac & cheese as my side. Both were yummy. The chicken was cooked just right and the BBQ sauce was very tasty. However, they were quite slow getting my take-out order ready, which worried me because I literally had only about 30 minutes before I had to be somewhere else. By the time my order was ready, I took it with me and had to wolf it down quickly so I wouldn’t be late for my meeting. So, the second time I tried them out, I decided to call ahead and place my order so it would be ready quicker. I called at 5 minutes after 12 to place my order. They told me that it should be ready in about 15. So, no big deal, I drive over to pick it up. Unfortunately, they were slammed that day and the order that should have been ready in 15 actually took 30 minutes or more. Again, this meant I had to rush off and wolf down my food before my 1:00 meeting. I was less happy with my selection this time. I ordered a turkey burger with cheese and side of fries. I must have missed seeing on the menu that the sandwich came with fries, because when I pulled my food out, I found that my turkey burger had fries in the same container, and then a completely separate container of fries was also included.(It would have been nice for them to tell me on the phone that fries came with the sandwich if that is the case). The turkey burger was ok, I could tell they did season it somewhat, but it still was just a little«meh». I should have gone for the BBQ Chicken and Mac & Cheese again! However, despite how slow they are, overall I am a fan of this place & will go back whenever I am in town on business and have more than an hour to spend on lunch. I just hope that they break down and hire someone else to help out during the busy lunch hour. If you are a local, and looking for a place to get special order cakes for birthdays or other occasions, their cake listing sounds amaze-balls! Just reading the list of available flavors, I wanted to try a bite of everything!
