Hammontree’s Grilled Cheese

Fun place! Came during lunch and there was a long wait. The wall decorations helped the time pass a little quicker. Wait staff was nice and attentive. I got the Cali dog which was delicious. Why don’t more places have unique items like this on their menus??? Well seasoned chicken sausage with fresh ingredients on top. It left me very satisfied. This place does something very well: FLAVORS and flavor combinations.
Other than the wait and limited parking, I have no complaints about this place. Check it out!

This place is always spectacularly busy every time I’m in town to go. The staff is usually overwhelmed and often times less than cheery — but the food is fantastic. Parking can be a challenge — you’re right by Dickson and the University — so go figure.

Consistently good. The menu is diverse and the food comes out in a timely manner. Friendly staff. Of course parking is a pain but what can you do? Cool atmosphere and it’s my go-​to place if I’m meeting someone from out-​of-​town for lunch. It’s in a good location near Dickson so my out of town friends can get the Fayetteville vibe. On point.

$ 7.75 for a grilled cheese sandwich yet I’m left saying where’s the Cheese and why are these two lighted dressed pieces of white bread so Salty? $ 7.75 for bacon gouda sweet potato fries accompanied with Amazing Avocado Ranch that comes in a teeny tiny ramekin that might be adequate too wet four fries… yet for another tiny drop of the addictive avocado ranch it cost $ 0.50 extra!!! One needs at least four or five ramekins of sauce to eat your fries! WAY OVER PRICED for what You get and the Saltiest food I’ve ever had. The grilled cheese sandwiches are honestly Beyond Disappointing! Other than the Delicious yet Pricey Avocado Ranch the Service is Excellent!

Best restaurant in Fayetteville! Amazing sandwiches, appetizers and bloody Mary’s! It’s a must when visiting Fayetteville!

I have eaten there many times. It’s one of my and my roommate’s faves. When we go I try a different sandwich every time. Love their dogs too. The sweet potato fries are the Bomb. The cocktails are great also.

Local/​regional beers. Great staff (for the most part). Always good food! Have never taken someone that was disappointed!

Everything on the menu is great — Brie’s Company is my fave. But the service is always shotty when I go.

Very loud inside this restaurant but the amazing gourmet grilled cheeses they make are worth it! Servers are very friendly and helpful. A great place to go for a lite lunch or dinner in Fayetteville.

Great service, great atmosphere, food is always amazing. You can even make a custom grilled cheese, and the tomato basil soup is amazing to dip your sandwich in. I’ve never had a bad experience here!

Another great addition to downtown Rogers. Just further solidifies in my opinion that if you want good food in North NWA, Rogers is the place to go. Came here for lunch and they absolutely nailed it.

Great concept. Good variety of cheeses, sauces, and meat to dress up your everyday grilled cheese sandwich. Small indoor seating area. There usually is a wait so be sure allot extra time for your meal here.

Though I live in Dallas, I have been here twice in the past year and a half! It is a must do when going to Fayetteville.
First time I went, my friend and I got the fried artichoke hearts, a hot dog, and two grilled cheeses that we split. And then we had to take Tums because we absolutely demolished everything on our plates. Was it worth it? Hell yes!
Second time, my friend and I were a bit more careful. Got the sweet potato fries (AMAZING), a hot dog, one grilled cheese, and the dessert grilled cheese. All were phenomenal and we didn’t feel gross because we ate too much. Got the Amigo dog — that guajillo pepper ketchup is wonderful! Friend got the Ragin Cajun grilled cheese; I heard a few other people order it too and waiters were raving about it. That was seems like a must.
The dessert was a blueberry mascarpone «grilled cheese» — it was light and delicious! I wasn’t sure if I liked the texture of the bread, but it was soft and crumbled nicely. Just not sure if it went with the overall plate.
Regardless, I love this place and can’t wait to be back.

If I had a dollar for everyone who told me
To visit Hammontrees when I was in Fayetteville I’d be rich. It was definitely a hot spot and lived up to expectations. I made my own grilled cheese and it was delicious. Seemed more like a grilled sandwich than grilled cheese, which is what I personally prefer. I had some of the sweet potato fries on the side and they were well seasoned and had a wonderful avocado ranch sauce.

Ate here yesterday and the food was spectacular. I had a grilled turkey and cheese and a cup of the crawfish gumbo. The décor is cool in here and they have a nice bar.

This place is awesome! Gourmet grilled cheese and so many options and «build your own» with premium ingredients. Fun atmosphere, easy parking, ice cold local brews on tap.

Pros: ooey, gooey goodness, veggie and meaty options

Must have: where the wild things are grilled cheese, paired with a blueberry grilled cheese for dessert
I go by Hammentrees every time I visit my sister in Faye. It is a popular spot near Dickson and is always busy with locals and students.
The food is just as savory and tasty as it sounds– melty cheese balanced by sourdough bread with good flavor combinations of other ingredients. The Brie’s Company is on the lighter side of the grilled cheeses (in flavor profile, not calories) with with richness of the Brie cut by the acidity of the grilled apples. If I get a bold and savory sandwich like the Rajun Cajun or Where the Wild Things are, I like to finish off with their dessert grilled cheese, which is marscapone and blueberry compote grilled between two slices of pound cake and drizzled with honey. Incredibly tasty, and not too heavy to add on to the pound of cheese you just ate.

Came here the other night after seeing a comedian at the Walton Arts Center. I have heard from a few friends that this place is really good, so it has been on my list of places to try.
We came around 8:30pm on a Friday night and were able to find a seat immediately. Luckily it wasn’t overcrowded, but I’m sure around 7pm it is more crowded since it is a hot spot.
CUSTOMER SERVICE:
There is no hostess, you find your own seat. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. You pay your check at the cashier at the bar. She was friendly too.
PARKING:
There is a small parking lot located outside and there is street parking that is pay by the hour — 1 dollar per hour, after 2pm.
AMBIANCE:
Kinda funky — has lots of star wars décor haha. A flying pterodactyl is attached to the ceiling too haha.
FOOD:
Now to the real good part… the food! This is what my husband and I ate:
*Brie’s Company: Grilled apple, brie, gouda, caramelized onions, and fig jam on sourdough bread.
*Hammontree’s on Ham and Cheese: House cheese with pit smoked ham on marbled rye bread.
I had the Brie’s Company and it was very yummy! It had the perfect amount of sweet with savory with the cheese and onions.
We enjoyed both of our grilled cheese’s. Yummy! I want to go back and try another one.
