My husband and I have lived here for about 6 months now and we are very impressed with the office staff. My family stayed in one of the guest suites(really cool thing for a complex to have) over the Thanksgiving holiday and the staff went above and beyond to make them feel comfortable and at home. They left very happy knowing that we live in a place where the staff cares about their guests and their residents as much as this place does. I’m proud to be a resident!

I’ve been living here for about 7 months, and since about probably month 4 I’ve been already looking for new places to stay. When we were first moving in they held an apartment for us for nearly a month and a half, which I thought was very kind, but once we finally moved in they literally just handed us the keys and that was all. I went back down to the office to ask about what you can and can’t do(i.e. hanging up pictures, having holes in the wall and such) and they didn’t even give me my mail box key! I don’t feel too safe there because the gate is broken a lot or I’ll be driving in and someone waiting to get in sitting on the side will just drive in behind me! I feel like for what you have to pay to have a dog the dog park they have could be a lot better. When it’s time to change your A/C filter they post notes on the building and and pretty much say they’re coming in whenever they want… It says something along the lines of «will be coming in sometime this week, you can not reserve a time for us to come, please put your pets away.» Really the only thing I love about the place is the great location it takes about 5 minutes to get to the all American gate 10 to yadkin gate 10 to honeycutt gate and 10 minutes to the mall. But for over $ 1000 a month we should’ve just rented a house. Can’t wait for our year lease to be over!

This place does not live up to their responsibilities. If you are thinking of living here… don’t.

***Writing about my visit while apartment shopping*** I had high hopes for this apartment complex because it was new. I visited on a Friday during Memorial Day holiday around 10am. There was one person working who was very friendly. When I asked about viewing a home, she took our IDs and gave us a key and a map to where the building was. I was a bit confused because usually you get an escort. So my husband and I went to the apartment and it looked like it was being worked on/cleaned. Our first hint was the bucket of paint and rolls in the entry way. Usually there is a model apartment that is staged, but like I mentioned it was being cleaned so it was a little odd. The grounds seemed clean and quiet. The exit gate didn’t open, so we had to drive out the entry gate. As a potential resident, I would have expected a warmer welcome.

I visit«The Plantation» because Unilocalster Marcos M. lives there. This is a large, new complex in VERY close proximity to the Yadkin Gate. It is pricey because of its location, but you have to factor in the savings in time and gas money. It has a controlled access entry, many pet areas, a gym, clubhouse, and pool. The common areas are very clean and well landscaped. They even offer $ 50 bucks if you«catch» a neighbor not cleaning up after their pet(pic required) — — this made me literally lol. I have never heard of an offer like that, but it does annoy me when people do not clean up.(I pick up dog poop every single day!) Amenities — the pool is very nice w/a fountain and basketball goal. The clubhouse has a pool table, video consoles, some tv’s and a «lounge» area. Personally, I can lounge around on my OWN couch, but maybe good for people who have roommates, no privacy or no cable. The gym is decent w/lots of cardio equipment, free weights and some nautilus gear. There is a small attached playroom to entertain kids while you workout. Garages are detached and available for an extra monthly fee. Bojangles is about 50 yards(no kidding) from the front entrance, so you can have your chicken biscuit anytime you are jonesing for it(Tim, that’s for you!). If I were younger(my community living days are long over!), I would certainly consider«The Plantation». :)
