I love Waffle House. Now that I live in DC, I miss Waffle House so much. However, I wasn’t that impressed. This is where my wife takes me whenever we’re visiting her parents. I wanted a hot chocolate cause it was cold and the presentation was awful. The taste was even worse. I ordered a sausage Texas melt and hash browns. I was quite disappointed. I should have just ordered the all star but I always get that so I wanted to get something different. Backfired on me. The service was quick enough and we literally ate then left. No time to kill and I appreciate the fast service; I wished I ordered better. Oh well.

You have to have a certain tolerance and expectation and if you do the food is pretty cheap filling and not bad. They are fast and sure, friendly. They lack on cleanliness which is pretty important in food business so they certainly will never be 5 star but 4 is great for waffle house.
