What I liked about Ribeye’s was the quality of the ingredients. The individual components of my roast pork and broccoli rabe sandwich were tasty. The meat had a nice, porcine flavor with a discernable juiciness and an almost al dente texture. The greens showed a great balance of crispness and tenderness with a slight kick of that characteristic, polarizing broccoli rabe bitterness. The sharp provolone wasn’t sharp enough, but this is a minor gripe. The ciabatta roll was a bit on the dry side but mopped up the sandwich’s juices nicely and had a good, crisp crust. What I didn’t like about Ribeye’s was the price. $ 8.99 for a friggin sandwich! Seriously. It wasn’t big either. As good as it was the exorbitant prices knock the joint down a couple stars. I was also forced to buy bottled water because there were no cups with which to serve tap water. Insult to injury. But anyways, the sandwich was good, but not $ 10 after taxes good. Hell, Paesano’s and Dinic’s offer better versions of the same thing for cheaper. Granted, one can’t always go to the city on a whim, so if you have the cash to spare and want a good quality sandwich Ribeye’s is worth a stop. Otherwise, if you’re broke and need a full belly go elsewhere. On a side note, do stop by Roma’s next door(owned by the same family). It’s bomb.

Ribeyes doesn’t make the traditional Philly cheesesteak and they don’t served it on a traditional cheesesteak roll either. That said, I’ve eaten there several times and have become a devoted customer because the sandwiches are just fantastic. The fries, onion rings, and mozzarella sticks are all worth ordering, too. Just forget that this isn’t Tony Luke’s, Geno’s, or Steve’s style cheesesteaks … just concentrate on how the food tastes, and you should be very happy.

What an absolute joke. It’s pretty obvious these people have never eaten a real cheesesteak. It’s one thick over cooked slab of meat on a ciabatta roll with a little drizzle of cheese. Plus it was way over priced. I really wanted this place to be good being a local for over 25 years but it was an insult to cheesesteak lovers. While the staff was nice, they are woefully ignorant to the proper way to order a cheesesteak. If I need to explain to you what a «wiz without» is you need to step up your game. 6 months from now this place will be closed. Don’t bother my fellow Trevosians. They didn’t even try. This is not the time or place to try and reinvent the wheel. Different doesn’t always mean good.

I am a five star fan of Roma’s and obviously all that have reviewed it are as well, so when they opened Ribeye Steaks next door, I expected greatness, alas, they got this one wrong! Hubby got the«ribeye cheesesteak» and that is what it is, one thin, overcooked and grizzly ribeye on a roll. I chose the roast pork, it was moist, tender, but so much roll compared to so little meat and it is real roasted pork that they slice, not brought in, deli style, not pulled. The bread for both is terrific, a very fresh ciabatta roll and the provolone was what came through on both sandwiches, smokey and sharp. Other than that, the sandwiches lacked flavor, no wow factor. The fries are frozen steak fries and all is served in styrofoam, hello, styrofoam is bad news! I think with a little time and thought they may see where they need to rethink things, Roma’s is known for their meatballs and homemade raviolis and pastas and you can get a great hoagie next door at Roma’s, but since you have opened up Ribeye Steaks and you are charging a great deal for a sandwich and fries, do it better, serve fresh hot sandwiches and pastas that we all love and for the price you are charging give us our monies worth. $ 8.99 for each sandwich and another $ 2.99 for fries would be okay, if it was over the top!
