Alicen Lum Photography

Alicen is a wonderful photographer. I drove all the way across town to use her as she was able to do the photos I wanted and for a very reasonable price. We arrived and she was able to do very professional photos and in time. She was a baby whisperer with my son and a joy to work with. I will be using her for all my other children and highly recommend her to anyone wanting very professional photos. I could not have asked for more. Thank you Alicen!

My husband and I worked with Alicen on our maternity photo session and also recently worked with her on a newborn shoot. Alicen is extremely talented and it shows in her work. She is a wonderful professional. From the scheduling down to the actual shoot. The level of communication that she gives is wonderful. I have worked with a number of photographers and she has to be one of the best that we have worked with. In addition she has the ability to relate to you and talk you through the session. She has a very positive attitude which helps to make you smile and of course that positive energy shows in the photos she captures. We felt very comfortable with her and relaxed and we had so much fun working with her. She has lots of wonderful ideas and artistically this helps to take amazing photos. She also takes into consideration ideas you have and does a wonderful job enhancing those ideas so that you get the best shots possible. For our newborn shoot she also did an AMAZING job. She is truly the baby whisperer. Our daughter was able to make it through the entire session and there were so many great shots that we look forward to seeing.

Alicen has done newborn photo shoots for both my sons over the past three years, and she is just awesome. She is so fantastic at getting the babies to be calm and sleep, and she takes so much time to make sure she gets amazing images. Can’t say enough great things about her!

We had a fantastic newborn shoot with Alicen. She really took her time to get great shots. The entire shoot took over 3 hours and the pictures turned out beautiful. She has a very easy and happy personality that makes you and your baby at ease. I will definitely be returning for our one year shoot and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for family photography.

She’s a baby whisperer with a lot of fun baby props and was professional, easy to work with, and did some nice photos and touchups. We took advantage of her nice maternity/​newborn package. She spent plenty of time taking lots of shots for us.

We have had our yearly family Christmas photos done by Alicen for probably the last 6 or more years and we keep coming back to her because she is hands down the best! We absolutely love her work. She has an eye for photography and knows what she is doing — in laymans terms — she makes us look beautiful!!! The best part is all the great compliments we get from our friends when they see our pics!

She was truly amazing with my newborn baby. She was so patient, takin the time to rock her, soothe her and whatever it took to capture the perfect moment. She was able to capture her with her eyes open and smiling.

Alice is very good at working with difficult kids and new borns. Her studio is so warm and comfortable, even I fell asleep waiting around, Haha. Her pictures are bright and creative. Excellent service and good value for product.

I have used Alicen’s services twice and have plans for a least two (2) more sitting. She managed my grandbabies beautifully. I then brought my sisters for a «sisters» portrait. We love Her!

Alicen’s studio is in her home, which is easy to find, and is configured beautifully for comfortable photo shoots with your children and family.
The results are stunning. We’re not beautiful people (LOL) but in a whirlwind hour and fifteen minutes she took 370 photos of us on three different backgrounds and with several clothing changes involved too. I’m supposed to narrow it down to ten that I like for her to retouch and I can narrow it down to eighty — there are literally twenty different poses and groupings of us to choose from!
We got a great deal and she’s recently had to raise her prices but her new prices for the session including retouching of five photos that you select from all of your photos, which she burns onto a DVD and gives you — are still really fair. So few of the photos are closed-​eye or looking-​away duds that you will find yourself printing MANY of them at your favorite photo-​printing kiosk. (She gives you a release to the rights, so you won’t be hassled about copyright).
She brought out great expressions and smiles from my 10 month old baby, my easy-​going 9 year old, and my often-​surly almost 15 year old. My normally reticent husband begged for a few more pose combinations of him with the kids. And I tear up every time I look at the photos she took of the baby and I interacting at the end of the session — they are ALL lovely.
Make the drive, which was almost exactly an hour door-​to-​door from Bellevue. You won’t be disappointed!
