I was disappointed by the communication level of the team! I was a walk in and thankfully the manager (I’m assuming) told me they were too busy and they weren’t gong to be able to get me in. I was ready to go to another spot but he seemed to want to help me and asked me to stay. However 2 hours later I’m sitting in the waiting area and I still haven’t heard a word! At this point I’m impatient and ask the same man how much longer? And he looks at me and says it’s going to be a VERY LONG WAIT. I understand that they’re busy but I don’t understand why he had me wait for 2 hours before even telling me. Would I have not asked, I wonder how long I wouldn’t have sat there. Poor communication!!! And I’m very unhappy that I lost 2 hours of my time sitting there for absolutely NO REASON! won’t be visiting this location anymore!

Integrity. It’s just that simple. Their tech made an error while draining fluids. He could’ve just left it alone and nobody would’ve known until my vehicle broke down. This was a dealer fluid replacement only. But he did the right thing, he notified his manager, and his manager notified me. They put me in a rental car and resolve the issue. Firestone should be very proud of both men.
I’ve worked with in the automotive industry for 50 years. And I’ve seen the decline of quality work and honesty.
These two men renewed my faith in how a business should be run.
I will be returning for all future repairs.

These people were awesome I would happily bring any of my cars here again. They were fair prices and stayed in budget. They were super transparent and treated me very respectfully! Everyone was awesome, service was great and the car is running amazingly!

I had high hopes for this place, but sadly I was let down. I made an appointment online 02/​29/​2016 to have a battery installed on 3÷09÷2016 at 3pm. It was confirmed by Firestone within a few hours by email. I arrived to my appointment and was told that they did not have my battery, Interstate did not deliver on time and they wouldn’t have it until 1 pm the following day. My issue is no one called me to cancel the appointment, nor did they apologize or show any type of empathy for my inconvenience. What also ticks me off is that they had quite a few employees sitting around twirling their thumbs, someone could’ve driven to Renton and picked up the battery ahead of time, so their customer was not inconvenienced. Who is managing this place? Horrible customer service.

If there is anything I ever need to do with my vehicle I have it serviced at this Firestone location. I’ve been going to the federal way location for probably 10 years now.
Being a woman who doesn’t know much about cars, they have always been so honest and fair with me. They never try to get me to do anything I don’t need or try to up sell me on stuff bc I don’t know any better. I’ve specifically gone there twice with some issues and they said they could be an inspection and find out the problem, but they were pretty sure the problem wasn’t something they were able to fix. So they recommended I go to a different shop/​dealer.
I just wish that Firestone was able to do everything and anything under the sun for vehicles. But, for everything they can do I go to this Federal Way location.

I showed up as soon as they opened and Kyle (the head mechanic in charge at the time) did a great job at making sure I got two new tires on and an alignment for three of them. He was very friendly and the service was faster than expected. Being able to watch tv and drink coffee while I waited was also a bonus!

I appreciate when mechanics the take extra time to explain what’s needed and why. Federal Way Firestone does a good job of this. After a number of visits, this shop has proven trustworthy. They do excellent work. Their prices seem on the high side but within market standards, in my experience.

To this day, their staff have been friendly and very helpful. They are willing to get your car in for a repair or check up asap. Only time they overcharged me was for the cabin air filter for around 70 dollars i believe. Luckily, i searched a bit because I was a bit skeptical and was able to do it for under 20 dollars by myself.

I love this place. My mom comes here whenever her car needs work and they’ve always been fabulous. She swears by them. Today was the first time I’ve ever been in for a vehicle of my own. I thought I just needed new break pads for a pre-​owned car I had just bought but it turned out that there was more damage than anticipated so I was looking at paying a grand above what I had expected. I cannot afford that, I don’t make good enough money. On top if it, I didn’t qualify for a Firestone card so I couldn’t make monthly payments. Mike and Chuck did me a total solid and found a way to reduce the price of the repairs to $ 600 above what I’d expected rather than the $ 1,000 they originally quoted me. And they were super nice and helpful about it. I can’t speak for all Firestone locations but this one has good people who will work hard to save you money rather than take your money. And they do good work, my mom and I have always been satisfied with the quality of work.

Incredibly nice and cool people, never high pressure (like some other local places) and they know how to surprise their customers with amazing service.

I have been coming here for roughly for five years and have been overwhelmingly happy with only a few blemishes on a track record of great customer service. Kyle, especially, is awesome.
One hicup today was I was called four separate times with more things wrong. It would have been nice to check the car, make one list of recommended service, and make one call. Also, while the lot in front of the shop and store front had plenty of spaces and the normal procedure has been to park serviced vehicles in front of the shop, my vehicle was parked in the upper lot 75 yards away. I get that is not far except I was not told that that parked my car up there and I stood outside wondering what happened to my car for 5 minutes. Today was not the best in an otherwise overly positive track record.

Very friendly and helpful. I had bought tires at the Firestone in Portland. Was up in Tacoma visiting family. I had a leak from the stem of a tire and they fixed it free of charge.

Visited Firestone right as it opened on a Sunday and Chuck and the gang could not have been better.
My wife and i had a slowly leaking tire on our rental car after some rough terrain on the Olympic Peninsula and we were sweating out what to do. We found the Firestone because it was open (8am Sun!) and close by and we thought we would take in the car to see if there was a cheap/​quick fix before we might leave it in the hands of the rental company.
Upon dropping the car off Chuck respectfully listened to what i thought the problem might be, assured me they would get to our vehicle in short order and he recommended a walkable spot for breakfast. We went out for 30 – 45 mins and returned to a patched tire, a description of the work done and more quality chit-​chat with Chuck, including more Seattle recommendations for the balance of our trip.
One thing that i was most impressed with was the respect with which we were treated. Ive dealt with many mechanics and often they trend towards condescending when describing the problem or work done. The guys at firestone were fast, respectful, friendly and the price was right. Thanks guys!

I have been to a couple other service places and have not found them to be trustworthy of services performed as well as outrageously priced estimates for unneeded services. My GMC SUV has 150,000 miles and I have done all of the regular maintenance so it is just now starting to show it’s wear under the hood. I had a code along with a chugging vibration that felt like the vehicle would stall at every light. I did research on the code and possible services associated with it so I could be informed and prepared for estimates. On a whim, I drove in the next day, scheduled with Chuck where he gave me a starting point quote up to the high range through deductive repairs. I dropped the vehicle off while I was out of town for three days. They called with the estimate two hours from drop off and had the vehicle done the following day. It was good they had it for a few days because each day they moved it, they found more issues like a chain link associated to the initial code. The three additional repairs they did we’re free of charge because they have a service guarantee policy. They fixed everything I had researched and the vehicle drives great.
The team at Firestone were friendly and courteous and most importantly, professional. They even showed me the old parts without my asking; I have to ask for my old parts from other places. Firestone will definitely get my repeat business especially when I need new tires!

Solid auto care: polite, accommodating, appropriate and timely fix to my auto issue, later hours than local competitors… These guys were great professionals.

I called this morning to see if I could bring my car in to see if I needed new brakes and tires. Kyle told me he had no appointments available but invited me to bring the car down. He would fit it in between his appointments.
When I arrived I told him I had brought the car to Les Schwab on four different occasions where they told me they fixed my slowly leaking tire. Every time, a few days later, the tire light would come on again and I would check to see that my tire was flat again. Kyle promised he would take good care of me while looking me in the eye and calling me by my name.
I work in customer service, so I know it is important to make customers feel like you care, and Kyle did just that. Not only did he fix my brakes and tires in a timely fashion, but he also filled up my wiper fluid.
I am super pleased with the customer service I received at this Firestone. If all Firestone locations give great customer service like this on then I wonder why I don’t hear more about them.
All I can say is, «I’ll be back’!» I will recommend this Firestone to my friends and coworkers!

My car has 19″ low profile tires which can be pretty pricey so this time I decided to shop around online. Firestone quoted me a price that was about $ 200 less than everyone else so I decided to go with them. When I got to the store, however, they tried to tack on $ 150 in extra warranties and services. I said I wasn’t interested but they insisted they would have to charge me for inspecting the TPMS sensors. I reluctantly agreed to this. They told me it would be an hour and a half and that they would call. Two hours later I returned after no phone call and they told me they broke my TPMS sensor and were waiting on a new one and they were sorry no one called me. 4 hours later my car was done and my Sunday was pretty much wasted. Then later that night my TPMS sensor goes off telling me my tire pressure was low. My right front tire was flat and the cap was missing! so right now I am sitting in Firestone waiting for them to get to my car because there’s other cars ahead of me and I have to wait my turn. It’s been about an hour so far. I don’t know about you but two trips and over 5 hours seems pretty excessive for getting my tires changed… I won’t be returning, that’s for sure.

5 minutes before closing, I called them to ask if they can patch a tire from a flat. They said they would and I took it to them. WIthin 15 minutes they had my tire patched. Super fast service, and willing to stay open even though they were closing soon.
The only thing that bothered me was they seemed very unfriendly. Now I understand customers coming at the last minute is like your worse nightmare… but the service guy to the mechanic all seemed angered. Therefore I give it a 4 star.

They got a new set of tires on my car in 90 minutes in spite of the crazy busy day they were having. I’d recommend making an appointment. The nice guy even tried to find a channel on the tv that my 4 year old would appreciate:) They have a good deal with their credit card. I don’t make quick decisions easily, so if someone offers me something while they’re ringing me up I always say «no,» but if you’re having something expensive done (like all new tires) it’s worth it. Ask for a flyer when you drop your car off so you can think about it.

To start this off, I do nearly all car maintenance on my own or with a friend to save money. I am a huge skeptic of many car care places, and have tested a few here in Federal Way on their honesty and integrity.
Firestone here in Federal Way is a good shop. Ibrahim is solid with his customer service. I came here for a full top to bottom inspection, I recently did a good deal of work on the car and did my own 90k mile service, but it is always good to get it checked top to bottom by a professional. he pointed out the car was in perfect shape and gave me the full rundown of statistics, and suggested a possible full tire alignment for the future, but nothing needed or showing wear and tear.
My best advice to anyone getting any car work done is to always allocate more time than anticipated, so often (as seen in one review here) people get anxious and put off by the time taken to do the work. Going anywhere to do car work is best when you have the day off and not a tight schedule.
To the reviewer below: control arms parts alone can easily cost 300 – 500 dollars, add that to tires, balancing, and labor, and 700 should not be surprising. I hope your car can have a functional hood.
