Bandana’s Bar-B Q

Second time here. Food was very good, even this close to closing. Ribs were tender, sausage wasn’t dry, all was very good. I would have left 5 stars if my tea glass had not been empty for so long.

Bandanas does good bbq and their donut holes for dessert are worth the trip alone. Nothing real special just good food and service.

We were staying at the nearby Pear Tree Inn and it was too hot to even think about getting in the car and driving around an unfamiliar neighborhood. Fortunately, this place was right across the parking lot.
I had the smoked dark meat chicken lunch portion, which came with a drumstick, a thigh, bread, and two sides (I picked corn and green beans). The green beans were too sour for me. The chicken was pretty good, and it’s hard to mess up buttered toast. I heard that the beef platter was very good, but didn’t get a chance to try it.
The kitchen area that’s visible from the dining room is an oddly sterile, fluorescently-​lit sort of workspace, which seems at odds with the western BBQ décor. It’s a good place to check out if you’re staying nearby!

Great food. Clean. Good staff. Would definitely go again. Love their Chicago style BBQ sauce.

Nice casual BBQ eatery. Quite the selection of sauces at the table & quick service. Everything we choose was good (ribs, sausage & brisket), including sides. Friendly waitstaff, overall good experience.

The food was definitely not worth the money. We all tried something different and I can honestly say that the only two things that I would recommend is the green beans and baked potato, you have to work hard to screw up a baked potato!

I had the chicken dinner platter. Several juicy, highly flavorful pieces of chicken — the skin was delicious, the meat was moist, tender, smoky, yum! Sides were typical of bbq — green beans with good flavor but to my taste over-​cooked. Of course that is typical southern cooking. Coleslaw appeared home made, side salad was very fresh lettuce and veg mix. Iceberg lettuce which is not my favorite but it was crisp.
I ordered my dinner to take out, and they provided packages packets of sauces. Not too thrilled with the ‘sweet and smoky’ — the sauce was probably exactly the sweet, vinegary flavor most want. I wanted hot and spicy and didn’t get it. Very good meal for the price.
Bottom line: I would get meals here again any time. If I could, I’d supplement with carrot and celery sticks.

Super yummy! Got the beef and pork lunch platter and it was perfect. The baked beans were amazing!

Found it driving down the Interstate. The service was extremely fast and the food was really tasty!
Another nice bonus here is if you are counting calories they have the calorie count for EVERY item on the menu!

I’ve been to this location a few times now because it is close to my office. They produce a consistently good product and service has been exactly right on each visit. I’ve always liked the food but certainly wasn’t loving it… until the visit before last.
I don’t generally order the same thing over and over again when returning to the same restaurant. I like to see how wide their range is by ordering from all over the menu. The time before last I decided to give their smoked chicken a try. I’ve ordered all of the other proteins on their menu and they ranged from «ok» to «good» but none achieved «great» status in my book. That changes with the first bite of their smoked chicken.
I ordered the dark meat lunch plate. It came with two legs and a thigh. The skin was slightly tough but carried a nice smoky flavor and also retained a lot of the flavor from their rub. The meat was tender, juicy and smoky… exactly how I try to get smoked chicken to come out when I make it at home. I was so happy with that first experience that I tried the same order again on the next visit… and had the same experience also.
Had I written this review before trying their chicken it would have been a solid three stars, and that’s alright for a chain restaurant. They more than earned their forth star with the chicken.

Very good barbecue, the pork was moist and tender, slightly less flavor to it than some I’ve had in the past, but a nice selection of sauces to go with. I prefer the spicy one for a good kick and some flavor, not overpowering, just right. Side salad was a bit small, but who goes to a barbecue place for salad? Baked potato was perfect with nothing but butter, which is good because the only other fixing they have for it is sour cream. All in all, good stuff, and I’d go there again.

My husband and I just had dinner here. He had the bbq nachos and I had the beef plate with two sides. Our server was extremely friendly and attentive. The food was served quickly and tasted great. We eat here often and love it!

Oh my goodness! We stopped here for supper and loved it. I had ribs and my date had pulled pork. Both were wonderful. The sauces were fun to try. My favorite was the Sweet Chicago style and my date loved the original. We both had a side salad with our meal and the barbecue ranch dressing was wonderful. And if the food wasn’t reason enough to love it, our server, Karen, was fantastic. She was friendly, funny, helpful and made sure that we were happy with everything.
We were staying at a hotel near Bandana’s Bar-​B-​Q and checked the Unilocal reviews. That is how we found it. If you are in the Fenton area, be sure to stop here for a meal.

Good help, above average pork (the bark was great; meat was a little dry), and a pleasant atmosphere.
As a KC BBQ snob, the food was good. Great pricing for nearly a pound of food and a drink ($ 14, before tip).
I’ll for sure be back on my next trip to Benton.

First time ever going there and I’m hooked! I’m not a huge beef/​pork eater so I ordered the Chicken BBQ Nachos, and Oh my!!! Fantastic!
When we first walked in the place smelled wonderful, we were greeted right away, authentically friendly. Our server was Wendy, she was amazing. Answered all our questions and was very courteous. Loved it and will be going back!

My husband and I love Bandanas in Fenton. We eat here a few times a month. You can expect food to be served 5 – 10 minutes after you place your order, super fast. My husband also prefers this location to the South County ones, saying that their original BBQ sauce tastes different in the bottles (not sure how true this is). Overall quick and convenient BBQ.

Only been there once — years ago! Never seen that place busy like other places — it’s always slow every time I drive by it. Had spicy BBQ chicken salad — it was delicious! Service was OK.

The BBQ was exquisite. We got the «feast for two». It was chicken, ribs and pulled pork. All were cooked very nicely, especially the chicken and pork. They had several bottles of sauces at every table so you can try a little of each until you find one (or ones) you like.

This is a miss on great BBQ. I have eaten at this location twice to give it a try (close to where I work when I am in town). This is not the best place to get BBQ within 20 miles. Both times my pork was pretty fatty and you have to slather it with a lot of sauce to get an ok taste. If you are in a pinch near Fenton business park go for it, if not take a little drive and you can do better.
