Can I say 0 Stars? I purchase 2 Groupons for Caveman Cleaning and when I call, was told that there was a big changeover on staff. They could not schedule me for several months. When I explained that I’d be out of my Groupon expiration date, they said they would still honor the groupon as it was purchased because they could not accommodate me at the present time. Several months past and I attempted to call. Have left numberous messages without a call back. I filed a complaint with Groupon and asked for my money back with the Groupon guarantee. Let me tell you, there is no guarantee since my groupon expired. They said they received many complaints against Caveman Cleaning and my only action was to be a part of a class action suit against the company. Great! I wish I can rate Groupon too! Very frustrated. Just a loss of money.

I too purchased a Groupon for multiple cleaning. Multiple calls were unanswered over the course of several weeks. Finally they scheduled an app for 4 months in the future. We were there at agreed date/time, they did not show up. We called, finally got an email telling us that we had been rescheduled, never asked what would work for us. They called and canceled the rescheduled appointment due to the heat. Now 7 months, still not a single cleaning. Continued to not return calls. I called Groupon to seek refund and was told they would like to try and resolve. The next day I received an email saying they were a family owned business and due to a family illness had to go out of town for a month. Due to this issue they were«temporally» closing their business. They suggested that I contact Groupon for a refund. I don’t know if they were overwhelmed by the Groupon purchase but regardless this family does not have a clue about customer service or what it takes to run a business.

Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this scam. I purchased 6 cleanings for this ‘company’ from Groupon. I called for the first time in February to set up a cleaning. I was told that nothing was available until the end of May! OK, so I went ahead and scheduled it May 28th, Memorial Day. Over 3 months in advance! So of course, they don’t show up. I call them up again and their response was that there was some software glitch in their scheduling software. OK, sure… let’s re-schedule. So we did. We rescheduled for June 11th. This time they did not show up because«We contracted out a cleaning team for you today and they never showed up this morning.» Their words, not mine via email. After a few days of emailing back and forth, we rescheduled for July 11th. A couple of days before my appointment, I took it upon myself to confirm that someone was actually going to come and do the cleaning. I got an email back from them and this is what it said: «Due to a recent family emergency we will be going out of state until mid August. As a family owned and operated business we have made the hard decision to close Caveman Cleaning until our return.» Nice one. That was the last straw for me. I really wish others would share their similar experiences right here on Unilocal. You can search for reviews from other websites and you will see some strangely similar experiences. I was able to get refunded on 5 of my cleanings from Groupon. For the remaining one, it took several calls to Groupon to get a refund due to the order being placed before December 1, 2011. Apparently, there is a lawsuit going on for Groupons purchased before that date and makes getting refund extremely difficult to do. Nevertheless, thanks to Ronnie and his joke of a cleaning company, I have wasted so much of my time that he will never pay back. 3 no-shows. And 3 pathetic excuses. I really hope this helps someone out there. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this scam!
